As a former educator, I came with my patience knowing that I would be getting my hair done by a student, but I left with the promise to return again. With all hands on deck by the wonderful tag team Adriana and Ether (plus their instructor) my hair came out absolutely gorgeous. It felt so lite and clean, and looks so healthy. There wasn't an excessive use of heat and the ladies were very intentional about the products and techniques they used to treat my texture of hair. I also appreciate the instructor jumping in to help and demonstrate the best techniques for doing my textured hair as well. To top of my exercise I took advantage of the $5 facial special. $5!?! I couldn't turn down! It was very relaxing, the esthetician was very gentle, and I left with my skin glowing. I had to give 4/5 stars only because the hair service did take longer than expected, but their instructor gave great tips on efficiency and the importance of finishing a service within a timely manner leaving no coins left on the table. Tonight just before 8:30pm I was sitting at my station and he walked up to me yelling at me. He stated he wanted to know if I heard the news since I was in someone else's business. I told him to use his inside voice when speaking to me and that I could hear him because I wasn't listening to anything in myAirPods. Last week Steve was less than helpful with another student and laughed in her face and told her good luck finding her kit that someone had taken. The other student asked me to go downstairs with her for support to ask to speak with the owner (his mom) or the director because he is always so difficult. When we went to speak to Steve he lied and said that management and administration were gone for the day but as soon as we said the other student was calling the police to make a report STEVE walked off and came back and said the director will be out of her office to speak to that student. When I asked him about lying to us he was dismissive and became offended we wanted you to speak with his mommy. Turns out his brother DAYKEL also works here and met with the other student and someone else who also didn't want to review camera footage to see who took hundreds of dollars of products that belonged to other student. I responded and said yes I heard the other student got her kit back and that they were still not any help with finding who took the student's kit from the Spa and how it turned up later in a classroom on the other side of the school. I also said it's sad that she had to call the police, send an email, and write complaints for you'll to look into it. He began to scream once more at me as I was talking while walking off in front of my classmate and another teacher's entire class. Steve is extremely rude to a lot of the female students and absolutely nothing is done about it! He should be more focused on his legal case instead of demeaning and disrespecting the female students. The fact that he continues to be employed here and is allowed to treat the female students this way is completely unacceptable! We're paying students and we are here to get an education we are not paying to be mistreated and lied to by the owner's son! Ask the school to send you the video. I got up immediately and spoke to my teacher about it and decided to come home and file my complaint. Since I've been enrolled here I've had nothing but trouble from administration. The teachers are great but having to resign papers they have completed incorrect, and waiting weeks for kits, being charged for items I don't need, and dealing with an immature disrespectful child of the owner is definitely the very last strike. Our classes are supposed to end at 10pm every night at 9:45-9:50 he plays this song as loud as he can through the intercom with lyrics that basically say get out and good night forcing the students to leave. As a paying productive member of society I will not be harassed by Steve or anyone else who may be family or work for the owner. Going forward I will call the police and press charges harassment is a serious offense. Unfortunately Steve is always at the front desk when I am there and students speaking to administration gets put off because he lies about them being there.

The work is professional and detailed. The second time, I went in for a fill and to shorten the length, and again the student who worked with me did an exceptional job. Every student I've worked with has been talented, focused, and so receptive to guidance. Karla, the instructor, is absolutely incredible!! she works closely with the girls, teaches with so much patience and skill, and you can tell she truly prepares them to do amazing nails once they graduate. Honestly, I've had a better experience getting my nails done by Karla's students than I've had at the salon near my house. Highly recommend being a model here!

She belittled me in front of other students, made disrespectful comments behind my back, and created a toxic learning environment. This is not the kind of treatment any student paying for their education should ever have to deal with! I brought my concerns to the office, and while I was told they would handle the situation, nothing ever changed... In fact, the same instructor is now regularly promoted by the school, which is deeply frustrating considering how poorly she treats students. Also spending almost $3000 for the program, they're supposed to give you professional tools, they give you tools that are less than $20 and they end up breaking within the first couple days of using in class. It is ridiculous... If you're considering enrolling here, strongly do your research.

I was excited to take advantage of Miami Spa Month at Healing Hands because of all the positive reviews. The spa itself was clean, and everyone I interacted with was polite. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. My appointment was rescheduled twice, from 6:00 to 6:15 and then again to 6:30. While I was understanding, it wasn't a great start. I paid $153 for a 75-minute massage that was advertised to include deep tissue work, hot stones, three aromatherapy blends, therapeutic stretching, an ice globe facial treatment, and a relaxing scalp and foot massage. Instead, I received about 60 minutes of someone rubbing large amounts of oil across my back. There was very little technique, no real attention to the areas I requested, and none of the relaxing flow or pressure I expect from a professional massage. It was actually uncomfortable at times, and I found myself just waiting for it to end. I don't know if this was due to a lack of experience or a lack of care, but the service I received did not match what was advertised or what I paid for. It felt like money wasted. Based on my experience, I'd recommend spending a little more elsewhere if you're looking for a quality massage.
