For about $12 CAN, I chose a large bowl that I thought I could finish easy. Try again! The fries and curds proved to be no match for how much I could accommodate in my stomach, given how rich it was in taste. For once, I didn't quite finish my lunch. No matter- still good eating anyway. Customer service here was fun. The gentleman who prepared my poutine snickered when I asked for pork cut up within my dish (it was available, so why not), which enhanced the taste a bit. Add in some discussion that was 95% in Francais, and consider it a pretty good afternoon within Montreal's Boucherville area. Plenty of parking within this shopping district, and all smiles here. Cheers to a good time eating at Planete Poutine!

I take my orders to go as I live 15 minutes away and I had to drive back because my food was inedible TWICE in the last 3 weeks. The first time, one of the employees put about an inch of relish on my burger, making it a soggy mess. The second time, my burger was raw (the entire inside of the patty was pink). The first time, the employee (blonde ladie, maybe a manager) offered me a refund and a new burger, I declined the refund since mistakes can happen and they were very apologetic. The second time, they just made me a new burger without offering me a refund (different employee this time) I would have actually taken a refund this time because I was very pissed off. But hey, I guess I should be grateful that I got a new burger with my (now cold) poutine, and having wasted an hour driving back and forth. Especially for $25. How does a restaurant get away with being this inconsistent? When the food is good, it's great, but it's subpar 20% of the time, and 5-10% of the time it's inedible. For this price point, this is absolutely unacceptable. They lost me as a customer.

Lafleur's may be a little pricier than you're average frie shack, but they use canola oil that is not recycled day in and day out, and their quality is consistent. Clean environment, vegetarian options available. The hot dogs were really good, and I actually loved how they serve them in little cardboard trays instead of wrapping them in paper. It keeps everything together and makes them way less messy to eat. The fries were fresh and crispy, with a slightly sweeter taste than I'm used to, but I enjoyed them. The restaurant was also really clean inside. The layout is kind of unique you can sit right by the counter, head over to another dining area with booths and tables, or even go upstairs where there's even more seating. I wasn't expecting it to be that big! Definitely glad we finally stopped in. I'll be back to try more of the menu.
