They were very rushed, did not clean under my nails or even put lotion on hands on legs like they normally do. LOVED THIS PLACE!!! I was walking around on Pearl St with my girlfriends looking for a place to relax. We were originally planning to go to the coffee shop nextdoor, but when we saw La Belle Nail Salon, spa pedicure sounded much better way to warm our freezing body. The salon is cute and comfy looking and had plenty of pedicure chairs to fit all of us in! . The technicians were all professional and friendly. And did I mention how CLEAN this salon was?!?! Great place and right downtown. The price reflects the location as a regular pedicure is $40. Most places "around" Boulder are in the $25 range. Inexpensive mani/pedi. I was in town on business in LA. I wanted to wait out the traffic (if at all possible in LA) so decided to go for a mani/pedi nearby my last appointment. The salon has two pedicure chairs. They take walk ins and appointments. My expectations were low and the service met my expectations. My pedicure was done using a foot soak bucket (a first for me). My feet kept slipping off the portable pedicure chair the technician was sitting on. It was not relaxing. $25 including tip. You get what you pay for. read more

Since I wrote the original review I've been back to La Belle Nail Salon a bunch of times, and I'm always pleased with the pedicure service! The pedicures seem to last at least 3-4 weeks without chipping (unless I bang my foot against my bath tub like I did the last time :( ouch) and the women who work there are always friendly and do a great job! Plus, a huge perk for me about this place is that it's always quiet and peaceful. I really need more places like this in my life where I can relax. So I just moved here from Chicago where a nail salon is a dime a dozen. They all smell the same and rudely talk in their native tongue in front of you. I was out roaming in Boulder and decided I needed a beer and a mani/pedi, I happened to glance down 13th st and saw a nail sign. I was not expecting anything more then a quick in and out. But I was pleasantly surprised. They really knocked it out of the park. There were 3 ladies working there, super professional and nice. My pedi lasted an hour and a half, completed with a full leg massage and hot stone massage. No forced conversation at all. Music was calming and relaxing, and NO tv for distractions. I asked about the no-chip manicure, I was given education and not pressured into purchasing the treatment. I did move forward with it, seeing I am still unpacking and for work I wash my hands 100 times a day and would like my mani to last more then 2 days. All and all I was there for 3 hours and left feeling pampered and wanting to go back for another mani/pedi. I would recommend this place to anyone!!!! read more

Neither fancy nor strip-mall-esque. On the third day, my mani still looks perfectly fresh. They have a good selection of polishes beyond the typical OPI, and the service was friendly. Prices still shock me compared to San Francisco, but oh well, when in Rome. read more

although accomodating to myself and 3 family members, i've had better mani/pedis. i paid $50 for the combination of services and i definitely overpaid. i got my nails done at 11 and wore sandals ALL DAY until about 4:30 when i strapped on a pair of peep toe shoes that ended up completely smudging both of my big toes. in addition, many of my fingers ended up with nail polish color on my fingertips. 5 hours DEFINITELY should have dried the nail polish, and i wonder if they skipped a coat while i chatted with my family. i can get a great manicure/pedicure in chicago for $35 with NO smudging!!! they did have a bunch of magazines, which was nice. and the ladies all seemed very nice, but next time i visit boulder, i'll find another nail salon if i need one. read more

Worst experience ever! I am in the industry so I felt I should write a review. I had the receptionist pull the manicurists off my pedi and go do someone else. Then take over on me in the middle of my pedi. She was getting up constantly to run the desk and delegate other customers. Then tried to re cut my nails & cuticles after they had already been cut. She kept getting up and coming back and would forget where she left off. I have know idea how sanitary the instruments were since she kept getting up and only wore one glove, picking up instruments... Kept taking in walk ins, while others were patiently waiting forever to be served. However, my friend had a massage that was incredible! read more

After the third broken nail I decided I wasn't going back to La Belle. Perhaps its the cheap way they dip your finger in the acrylic powder instead of painting it on; because when I went to a new salon they were very surprised. My brand new tips were barely attached to my nails! They reminded me that water could get in between and cause a fungus. I had already decided to have the whole set replaced. The new place wasn't kidding about the nails. When he slipped clippers underneath to create an edge the whole thing came off very easily in one chunk. I've had sets replaced before, (Recommended every 6 months to a year) and I have never seen that. I have been visiting this salon for years. For the price, it can't be beat in Boulder. I have tried a few of the low-end places, and the experience just doesn't compare. I always come back to La Belle. They are less expensive than the high-end salons, yet they offer a very clean, quiet, peaceful environment. They also provide great pedicures (I don't usually get manicures) - they take their time, provide leg massage, and the pedicure itself always lasts much longer than I expect it to. I also love the personal touch. They remember my name, and send me a gift certificate for a free pedicure on my birthday. Wonderful place! read more

Okay, so La belle has some Pros and Cons. First they are a little pricey but by far not the most expensive. There are two reasons for the rates they set. One reason is there location is in a trendy area where rent may be a bit higher. Another reason is the employees they have to pay. This is a no fuss salon. They do not feel the need to talk to you unless it is related to your service. This is fine for some but may be awkward for others to sit through, especially more than one service. As for my service I did a mani/pedi. Bottom line they are clean, swift, and professional. However, I asked for one thing and got another. I asked for acrylic with gel polish and was only given gel polish. I know that I mentioned this over the phone and in person. I was kind of uncomfortable because they do not co verse with you. The salon has its own culture that is very different from others. At the end I was given a massage that I was uncomfortable receiving because the woman barely conversed or made eye contact. I get what they are trying to do, but you have to add warmth through your employees if you want the most relaxing experience for your clients. I do not want a trashy nail salon with ridiculous shows on either. However, I want a place where I feel excited to book again. read more

I came here because of the yelp reviews. I was very excited to be getting a manicure and pedicure before my vacation. However, I was very disappointed. My pedicure seemed very rushed and the lady was looking at the clock the whole time. During my manicure she was sighing non-stop her body was going up and down. While she was painting my nails, I accidentally smudged one. It was easily fixed and a minute after she messed it up another one and made it seem like it was my fault and told me to "be careful" when drying my nails like it was my fault. I understand people have bad days, but you don't bring it to the work place. I don't think I will go back here. Especially for the prices. I liked the ambiance tho. read more

Stopped here for pedicure while visiting Boulder. Salon was clean, and they even use plastic liners in the foot soak. The pedicure was mediocre, however the polish lasted 4 weeks. I just cleaned them off and it was only to nail growth, not chipping or polis flaking. That is impressive especially since u brought in my own nail polish, Spa Ritual, so not a brand that is like super glue. read more

Came here for a pedi while visiting from out of town. They only offer an option that comes with a not very good massage and hot stones, etc for $40. The service here is wonderful, with friendly people, average prices, and a comfortable atmosphere. They do take their time, but then again, you are there to get pampered. They have a great selection of polish colors and magazines, and they offer you water. They are also very sanitary, which is important during a pedicure, as they use disposable plastic covers for each pedicure and sanitize their instruments after each use. I went with 4 other friends to this place and three received normal manicures and didn't seem to have any problems and like the results. The other two, my friend and I, got a full set of acrylics and it was the worst I have ever had done and I have had quite a few to know whats wrong or write or works best. The acrylics were thin and they broke very easily and I had 4 broken nails by the three day mark when usually mine last 3 weeks from other places. My friend who had them done were so poorly done I asked her to redo them completely. They weren't smoothed out and very poorly painted. Hers broke within a day and she went back to get a refund. Got the refund but I'm very disappointed in the care we got especially for 50 dollars. read more

The people here are nice, but the actual service is awful. I went on the morning of my wedding day to get gel polish removed and a normal manicure and pedicure done. For reference, I have been getting my nails done elsewhere with gel polish every two weeks for the last 4 months, and my nails HAD been getting stronger and stronger. When they removed the gel polish, they removed the entire top layer of my nails and it was incredibly painful. They obviously don't have much experience with gel polish as my nails are now weaker than they were before I started getting gel manicures. Their prices are also literally double of what I pay at Padela Nails. I'm never coming back here, guess I'll keep commuting to Arvada to get my nails done. read more

I was a walk in on Friday afternoon and was taken right away. I got a basic mani/pedi. The girl who did my feet was fantastic, gave a great massage and was maticulous. The girl who did my hands, who was the owner, I believe, was good but not as good. I don't like getting a massage when the person giving the massage wears gloves. When it was time to pay and I didn't give her a tip right away she was a little affronted but changed her tune when I gave her a generous tip upon leaving. Seems to be the same most places you go.
