I got a great manicure and pedicure that lasted for weeks. I don't usually get my nails painted so I was surprised how much of a difference a little polish could do to my nails. The lotions and hot towels they put on my hands made my skin feel good, too. Both the employees and the chairs will give you a massage, too, to help you relax. It's hard to find a nice quiet place to relax on Pearl Street, so a quiet room, some classical music, and a foot massage feels great after a long day of walking and shopping. It's right off of the main Pearl Street mall so it's easy to slip right in in the middle of my shopping days. And there's coffee right next door! read more

Horrible experience. Worst I've ever had in any salon of any kind. Tried to get a gel manicure and the technician put 3 coats on. I asked about it since it was done very sloppy and she screamed at me. I was trying to explain that it was bubbling up and trying to show her and she kept yelling at me unintelligibly. I asked for the manager since she was escalating to an abusive level. The owner came over and did not handle the situation as the technician kept yelling. She looked at my nails and tried to fix it. It was the worst experience. The owner did not apologize or say that she'll address this with the insane tech. Never again. Complete disrespect. I am a fan after three visits. When it comes to nail joints either they are clean and nice or they are not. This one is and what more do you need? My friends and I went on for 4 pedicures today and found the staff to be rude uncommunicative and defensive. When my friend politely asked not to have her nail cut the woman replied with her credentials. Another friend was charged extra to have gel removed without being told there was an up charge. At first I was happy to find a place that could do a walk-in on a busy Saturday afternoon, but unfortunately my experience wasn't a good one. The women who did my nails was sweet, but that was about it. First of all, she did a horrible job filing my nails. She made them jagged and uneven, and when I asked her to fix it, she barely went over it and ignored what I said. I eventually gave up and decided to look past the poor filing job, but it gets worse. Second, her station was disgusting. The towel that she placed my hands on had dirty dark brown junk on it and her sanitizing solution was mucky and gross. I tried to ignore that as well, but then I noticed as she was giving me the hand massage, that she had a big nasty wart on her hand. I was disgusted. I know this is one individual and may not completely reflect the establishment, but it is unsanitary to work with people's hands and feet with a wart on your hand because they can be contagious. Very nice ladies. Yes, slight language barrier but they do understand English. They don't state their prices online, but I paid $55 for I think a standard manicure & pedicure. $10 extra for a callus remover, but totally worth it. My heels are like a baby's bottom now. Nice massage chairs during the pedicure, they use plastic inserts to try and keep the baths clean. Also, while my toes were trying, got a nice shoulder massage! read more

This place is a rousse! I made appointments for my best friend, my daughter and her best friend for pedicures. A shabby pedicure is $40. The women were not friendly and spent far less time on our 12 year old daughters then on us adults. They tried to skip services but when called out on it acted annoyed. The women working on our daughters were complaining (in English) how they could not wait to get out of there after the place closed. I was going to get my gel removed from my fingers but they told me it would be an extra $10 because the gel was not applied at their salon! I said, "Yeah umm, well forget it". We were not treated well and I therefore did not tip well. Will never go back and do NOT recommend. Buyer BEWARE. RIP OFF SALON. read more

I had the most unsatisfying and disappointing experienc at La Belle Nail Salon last evening. First, I explained to Leah when she sat down in front of me that my feet needed to soak for a while because of tough calluses. She said they have a product they use on calluses for an extra charge. Since I am a cosmotologist and trained to do pedicures and manicures I know a chemical is not necessary so I told her no thank you; I would prefer to just soak my feet for a bit longer. Note here: There were no other customers in the salon except for my friend who was getting a pedi while I got mine. Leah snottily replied, "That doesn't work." And proceded with the pedicure. She was polishing in 16 minutes. The massage was practically non-existent. She did not acknowledge me at all besides instructing me to put my feet in or out of the water. When I left my feet were just as rough as they were when I went in and the cost was $32.00. I did not expect a spa experience. I did expect politeness, customer service, and a pleasurable experience. Pedicures are supposed to be pleasurable. To top it off, the desk person confronted me as I left to explain that the tip was not included in the price. I explained that I was not leaving a tip and explained why. Leah was standing behind the receptionist and they both argued that I should have paid for the chemical treatment. Now I understand why there were no other customers in this salon. Stay away unless you want to be treated rudely and be disappointed in the quality of your pedicure. read more

I went here because the salon I normally go to was unusually busy this day. They have a really good shellac color selection and the tech (Leah) was very nice, and very gentle, but the shaping on my nails is very uneven - square on one side, round on the other. And there are spots on the sides of my nails that she missed with the polish - even after going back and touching up some other spots. Also, I was told when I called that the price for a shellac manicure was $35, and was very disappointed to be told it was $45. Even after I mentioned I was told a different price, they said "sorry" and didn't hold to the price I was originally quoted, which in my opinion is a VERY poor way to do business. I will hope that this manicure lasts at least as long as the other ones I've had in the past and go back to the salon I've been going to for three years (which, by the way, is Encore nails - they are fantastic, friendly, and NOT this expensive!). read more

I have been going here for a few years. I've observed happy clientele and sad clientele and walk ins who maybe should have called in advance on a Saturday morning. (Come on folks, common sense!!). I've personally had only great experiences here. Aza and Radika both are funny, chatty (in English), and social, and very good nail artists. Technicians. Etc. Radika fixed a split nail recently so I don't have to worry about it falling off at an inopportune time. They do both gel (shellac or OPI stuff) and regular polish, and the pedicure chairs are all the massaging kinds. Most treatments come with a brief teaser massage on your shoulders and arms/legs depending what's being done. You can add more massage if you want. I've never had any problem booking a few days in advance and I think their rates are pretty comparable to those other places in town. It's bare bones decor, but the goods to get the job done are all there! read more

I'm pissed at how awful my nails look for the money it cost! Find another place. I got pedi and gel nail. Pedi lasted one day. For $40 my gel nails lasted 3 days. It's been a week and I already need to get them redone. A good place will give you a pedi that last a long time and gel nails that last 3 weeks. If I would have charged it on a credit card I would have disputed charge. I took pictures of my nails and toes after 3 days and they looked like I got them done a month ago. I'm only giving 1 star. Got a manicure here. The manicure was okay. Nothing spectacular, but way overpriced for what it is. The description on the website and the price list said the manicure included both a hand massage and a shoulder massage. I got neither so essentially I paid $20 + tip for a bit of filing, cuticles and polish. I would definitely recommend going somewhere else. read more

Nail tech was very rude to my daughter. Manicurist could not get gel polish smooth and shiny. Terrible quality. Prices are much more expensive than what we are used to in CA--almost double and services we have are much better. I've been going to the same salon in CA for 20 years. Very disappointing. This place is a little more expensive than some of the other nail salons in Boulder (thus 4 stars instead of 5), probably because of the higher rent on the Pearl Street mall. I go here several times a year because it's a short walk from my office and sometimes nice to not get in the car. I've always had excellent service. The short shoulder/neck massage after manis/pedis is a nice finishing touch. Love the classical music/no T.V. and no smell because they don't do acrylics. I've also used their waxing service, which was also great. Some of the reviews mention rudeness, but if anything, I have found these women more polite than at some of the other salons. read more

Do not go here. I made an appointment for about 4 PM on a Sunday. I went in and was told by one of the nail techs that they were "too busy" to do my nails...There was only one other customer there receiving a pedicure from a nail tech. There were two technicians hanging out and talking in the front and one (that I saw) chilling in the back. Given I had made an appointment and could visibly observe 3 available nail techs, I didn't understand how they were "too busy" to serve me. I was appalled, I will never go there again. read more

Without a doubt, one of the worst nail treatments I've had anywhere in the world. I travel a great deal so I'm always looking for a place to have a fill done on acrylic nails. I made an appointment and had a bit of a time crunch so I asked how long it would take. I was told 45 minutes which was perfect. I arrived on time and then waited for ten minutes before I was seated. Then the technician, Kristen, spent five minutes looking for all the appropriate equipment. She finally started on my nails and it was immediately apparent that she was either new to this treatment or was incredibly slow. After 20 minutes and not a whole lot of progress, I reminded her (again) that I had to be out of there in half an hour but that did nothing to speed her up. On one finger alone she added the acrylic and removed it three times trying to get it right. I finally left, already twenty minutes late, without the nails being polished. Besides the slowness, the job she did was awful. I pointed out how bumpy and uneven all the nails were and she buffed them a bit more but they still looked bad. Less than 24 hours later, there were chips and cracks in the corners of four nails. What a complete waste of time and money. And, by the way, they charge almost double what I've paid at similar salons in Boulder. read more

My boyfriend treated me to a purissima spa treatment for an early Valentines day surprise at La Belle and I could not have had a better time. The service was amazing and though the spa treatment is expensive, I would not hesitate to go back and do it again for a special occasion. I felt so much better after the treatment and it was like a full body rejuvenation with the best smelling oils and mud masks for my legs I have ever received. They finished it with a hot stone massage which was perfect because I have been under a lot of stress lately. The service was beyond excellent! The lady was so attentive to my every need. I went there today because overall the Yelp reviews seemed pretty positive. I went in for a pedi and a gel manicure, my standard in nail treatments/care. I called and made an appointment, and they were pretty timely, even managing to fit in walkins along with my appointment. The pedicure was nice but seemed really short, especially for 37 bucks. I think moved from the pedi chair over to get my fingers done. I asked for a french gel manicure, which she said she could do for 5 dollars more. I said that was fine, and she proceeded to do my fingers without filing or clipping them shorter, when I had already previously asked. When I politely asked again for them to be shorter she straight up told me short nails with french polish doesn't look good. The white and pink bled together on multiple fingers and the smile line is crooked and blurry. I asked her to fix some of them and she ignored my request, telling me I could come back in ten days...? I ended up paying a total of 87 (before tip) dollars for a half assed job. The only points they got out of me was the exceptional hygiene. Sad :( read more

I went here because the reviews were so good. But my experience today was exactly the opposite. The first thing the tech asked was if I had my nails done there because I had gel nails. I told her no that I wasn't from here. She told me it would be $5 extra. I agreed to that. She then removed my previous manicure but left some of the white polish on my nails. I guess it was too hard to get them totally clean. That would have been ok if I hadn't told her I wanted clear polish. She asked if I wanted them trimmed and I said yes. I keep my nails rounded, not square, but she just trimmed them square. I assumed she would shape them with a file, but she didn't. I paid her before she applied the polish so as not to damage my manicure. I expected her to bring change, but she didn't offer me my change. Then she applied the clear polish and a top coat and put me under the drier. When my nails were dry, I realized that they were rough. I feel that I was not treated professionally. I have to wonder if she thought she didn't need to worry about the kind of job she did because I am not from Boulder. What she didn't know is that I visit here at least 6 times a year. It shouldn't matter, though. If she were a professional she would want to do a good job every time. read more

My friend and I headed there mid-week with an appointment. Pedi's for both of us!!! It was pretty good. Here are my plus's: warm/not hot stone food rub, good polish selection, pretty warm/ok environment. The minus's: chair they give my friend and I didn't work and has some crapy back massager from sharper image that made whining noises if you wanted the feeling of golf balls being rubbed into your backbone. There were also two perfectly good chairs sitting empty the entire time which never makes me happy to see when I am sitting in the crapy one. The foot massage could have been stronger and more intentional for 40 dollars. It felt more like a light rub with someone that was easily distracted by what was going on in the salon. I would go back once I try several other's from that price point, this is Boulder after all price with little concentration on customer service.
