I was with cravings for a good plate of Peruvian food and I've found this restaurant in Yelp so I decided to give it a try. I'm regretting my decision 100%, I've never been in a worst Peruvian Restaurant. I started with an appetizer Causa de Pollo, the avocado in it was hard and not riped. My entree was Ceviche de Corvina (before ordering it, I've asked the waitress about the fish because I know that they don't sell Corvina in USA... She told me that the chef said that they have a special delivery of it.), well... Literally the taste of the fish was uneatable and even the juice didn't have a fresh lime flavor at all. Very, very bad. Look at the photos, the fish doesn't even look appealing , Corvina is normally white and transparent when is fresh. After letting the waitress know that the ceviche was bad and that's why I didn't even eat it, I didn't want to leave with a sour taste on my mouth so I've ordered dessert... I love Picarones and I asked the other waitress if they had it when I sit down... She said yes. Well... Surprise, surprise... 10 min after I've ordered the Picarones, the waitress came and told me that they didn't have Picarones, it was sold out. What a coincidence right after I've returned the ceviche because it was bad. Of course, I got the bill... They didn't even had the honor to take out the bad ceviche. I've paid and left. The one star is for the waitresses... It's not their fault that the restaurant where they work it's so bad in customer service and bad food. The waitresses were polite and attentive. No way I would recommend this place to any of my friends. I hope Sabor Inka open soon. read more

I drive by here all the time and the lot is always completely empty, so I was a little suspicious but my Uber eats order was properly made and ready to go when I arrived. I got the lomo saltado, which was a favorite of mine when I visited Peru - its a bit like beef stir fry with fries and tomatoes. It was pretty good and close to how I remember it, and very hot when I picked it up. read more

So I ordered through Uber Eats and I am so glad I did. Some dishes seem more overpriced than other peruvian restaurants I've been to but this has to be one of the best (in my opinion). The closest Peruvian restaurant near me. Pollo a la Braza is a constant on the menu, but otherwise is somewhat limited and a little pricey. The place is a good size with lots of tables and a few uncomfortable booths. Their causa de pollo is my personal favorite here and of course, the pisco sours! Never too crowded. We have tried other items but this is our set order for every time visit: Salchipapas: French fries and hot dog. A very basic kids item but I love it with their hot sauce. Whole Chicken: Not your average rotisserie chicken. This chicken is tender, juicy, and is a flavor explosion. Very well seasoned and can be eaten as is. However, adding the green sauce and hot sauce adds another level of deliciousness. Chaufa De Vejetales (Peruvian Vegetable Fried Rice): Perfect pairing with the chicken. Came by for lunch on a Monday afternoon with my cousin at his suggestion as he has been here before and likes their food. I ordered the Rustica Wrap which came with 2 sides and chose the plantains and a salad. The chicken in the wrap was good but the rest of the wrap could have used some more flavor. The salad was decent and I really liked the dressing it came with, but the plantains were disappointing as they were pretty dry and didn't have much flavor. My cousin ordered the chicharron de pescado which he enjoyed. I tried some too and we agreed the fish tasted fresh and the batter was light. Overall, service was quick (although we were the only ones in the restaurant) and portions were large. La Brasa Rustica is a Peruvian cuisine restaurant. They offer several dishes from Peru. Lots of variety on the menu. The food itself is pretty good. The chicken dish I ordered was juicy and tender. It had lots of flavor. Some of the dishes are fairly simple. Mostly just meat and side of rice or veggies. The menu itself has a lot of options but unless you're a native, you might have no idea what to order. Our waitress couldn't really help explain some of the dishes either due to the language barrier. She tried though. A few items on the menu were not available at the time I was there and I have heard from others this isn't that uncommon. The service was really just okay and the wait on the food can be a little long. Overall, food was good. Service could have been a bit better. I've passed by numerous times on my commute to work but was finally able to stop. It was a full service sit down restaurant, not what I was expecting at all. I thought I would see chicken on a rotisserie and have a big charcoal and spice aroma, but it did not. I looked through the menu and settled on Chaufa de Mariscos and a side of yucca fries (I will never not order yucca ) to snack on in the car. Everything was tasted good. The rice dish was a big portion and had a ton of shrimp, mussels, and octopus. The yucca and yellow sauce were good as well. The inside of the restaurant didn't feel spectacularly clean, so I waited in my car for the short 10 minute wait while they prepared my take-out. There were 3 tables with patrons inside, none wearing masks because they were eating, so that was another reason I felt better waiting outside. My husband has driven by this unassuming location for a while. Reviews on yelp and google were good so when we were up for something different we gave this place a try. So happy we did and look forward to going back to make more adventurous choices. This is a place the local hispanics eat so we knew this would be good. The menu took time to navigate because we were not familiar with Peruvian food. We settled on 3 dishes with a plan to share. We ordered on the safe side to just get a sense of the place: *Saltado a la Rustica* This was a delicious very flavorful authentic dish. Chicken, steak, mushrooms tossed with French fries, onions, tomatoes. All blended together and it was just tasty! Not spicy. *Pollo Anticucho (chicken kabobs)* 3 skewers with 3 pieces of white meat chicken grilled with special spices and served with a onion and tomato salad tossed in a lime vinaigrette and a small saucer of super hot sauce made with red Peruvian peppers. This was a sauce that warms up in heat. I could eat a few bites but had to stop. My husband loved it and could eat the whole thing just fine. I loved the tangy onions and tomatoes with this dish. Next time I would ask for extra. *Tallarin Verde con Bistek (basil pasta with grilled sirloin on top)* We ordered this for the kids. The chef was generous and gave us an extra slice of steak. It was cut thin with a nice seasoning and was on top of pasta tossed in a creamy basil sauce. This was a delicious and huge dish. We took leftovers home. Not spicy and a nice safe way to eat here We already have planned what to eat next time based on the waitress' recommendations. We'll try the roasted chicken with special seasonings, beef heart kabobs and the Leche de Tigre cerviche. It took some time to get our food but it was worth it. The chicken was great, but the vegetable sides tasted like frozen vegetables from a school cafeteria that were undercooked and had zero seasoning. I drove by La Brasa Rustica many times, and it was love at first sight. No, first sight is the correct cliche, not first bite. I somehow knew I would love this place even before my first dining experience. I ordered the lomo saltado to go - filet mignon with fries, onions, tomatoes, and rice. Ordering a dish with fries to go is always a risky endeavor. I possibly should've asked for the fries on the side, but it's not as big of a deal to me. I absolutely loved my meal. There was so much flavor in every bite. I expect nothing but the best from Peruvian restaurants, and La Brasa Rustica definitely delivered. I ordered papa rellena, papa a la huancaina and tallarines verdes con bistec. The papa rellena came with sarza (onions, and tomatoes) but sadly it did not have any lime juice or salt. I was disappointed by this dish as the papa didn't have any proper seasoning. Now, the papa a la huancaina did have a really authentic flavor and it was a big portion. I truly enjoyed it. Drove by this place on many occasions and by the exterior presence in t didn't really draw my attention. I tend to judge a book by its cover but I know from recent experiences that there are a few hidden gems in those hole in the wall places. So today, Fathers Day, we had plans to go to cheesecake but we had a craving for Peruvian food. We decided to go to Sabor Inka on Pleasant Hill to try it out. We've never been there and upon arrival it was a small retail unit made into a restaurant and that's ok but it was jam pack and given covid concerns decide to go elsewhere. Drove by Fumi Hibachi and Olive Gardens and wait was long so we ended up driving down pleasant hill to give La Brasa Rústica a shot. Upon arrival no one really greeted us nor any signs to wait to be seated or sit yourself. We made our way to a table and as we did a staff member pointed to us in the direction we were headed. We sat down and glanced over menu. For starters we ordered yuca frita and plantanos. We are of Latin descent and know what yuca is and that is why we ordered it. The yuca was very unappealing which we know is bland to begin with but the main issue is it was only a few pieces for $6.99, can we say inflation for yucca, geesh. We could let that one go but the order of plátanos (plantains) was actually 4-5 slices which equals to 1 full plátano for $3.99. We understand restaurants need to make a profit but at least make it look worth the $ you are asking. Our appetizer took long time to arrive and we really didn't want them at same time of our meal. After they arrived we were in need of plates and server never came by and so we asked a staff member cleaning tables for plates and it appear she would take care of it or at least tell our server and to a surprise neither one of them brought us plates so we have to eat the yucca and plátanos with our hands and no plate to put it on as we (a group of 5) shared it across the table. We looked at the beverage menu and did not opt for the fruit juices as there is no refill so we opted for coke products. When it was brought it was canned coke versus the standard fountain drinks everyone is used to at a sit down restaurant. This was a bit disappointing but the biggest disappointment was the server could have communicated that they don't offer fountain drinks and instead canned so we know not to expect free refills. COMMUNICATION IS KEY TO SERVICE ;) Moving on once our order was placed and received the kids salchipapas was not worth the $6-7 for a basket of fries and a few tid bits of hot dog. Once again at least make it visually appealing for the money your asking.. the lomo and pollo saltado was a bit salty but overall portion size for the $ is disappointing. For $15-$18 a serving plate should be bigger, comparing this to other Peruvian places around the area. Ended up spending over $70 and believe the value really should be around $45. For this kind of money we generally eat at The cheese cake factory which is a premium restaurant. As business owners ourselves we don't provide this review to bash or bring down but rather so this restaurant can improve and build upon this. This is what we call constructive criticism. Overall for the type of place, visually interior, exterior, service quality of food food seems to be overpriced and if asked would we return it would be close to a definite no. I went around 2 it was craZy packed which is understandable on Mother's Day. I wanted to eat here so bad I went back around 7 pm. The service is horrible. Very nice ladies who take your order and never come back. We didn't get drink refills or even ask if we needed anything. The food was just ok. Nothing worth dying over. In terms of food , this is a piece of Peru in Duluth, GA. Really innovative, diverse, and most of all, DELICIOUS ! The Lomo Saltado was perfectly juicy, and had a nice combination of soy sauce, onions, I think some garlic, and French fries. The rice was a perfect addition. As for service, we ordered at 2:50, and it took 10 minutes to come. But forget that, it was friendly and the food quality is all that matters. The fries look like your average frozen fries served on the side. I returned the plate. They "fixed" and returned it to me with a slightly more juice. I ate it but vowed not to return. To my dismay, they added a 15% service fee and on top of that, there was a line for more tips. After complaining, the male manager looked at me impatiently and stated they always charge the tips upfront. They lost a returning client. Someone who brings people from out of town all the time. I visited during the Independence Day celebration for Peru. It was very busy during my visit. This restaurant is where a Wendy's was previously operation. Many changes were made to the floors and windows. Putting all that aside, the food was good, particularly the chicken. I ordered the half chicken combo with fries. My chicken was hot but the fries were cold. The waitress was not very attentive to our table and we often had to flag someone down for service. Wow- so yummy. We needed an easy dinner on a Sunday and ordered the family-style chicken dinner using DoorDash. I was so pleasantly surprised by how fresh everything was. The salad was the biggest surprise- such a nice, simple, fresh part of the meal- complete with homemade dressing. Not a throwaway side. Fries made a beautiful bed for the juicy chicken. Sauces included were great- though the chicken was very well flavored on its own. I walked into a hidden gem! We came back with Peruvian friends, and they enjoyed it! So it is confirmed authentic! We had of course the chicken, saltado, pesto pasta, chaufa, ceviche, drinks, desserts, everything was very good. We missed the alfajores every time we visit. We will be back for the excellent food and great service! The portions are plentiful, and prices are very reasonable. The flavors are authentic. Our serves have been always so helpful describing the ingredients, the process of the making, the Peruvian culture... The road construction plus the heavy traffic at the intersection make it hard to see where to turn for it. Best way driving is to turn at the stoplight (I don't think the road has a name, it's the opposite turn to Kroger) as if you were going to Boston Market, and cut across the parking lot. I love Peruvian food as I'm half Peruvian so I was truly disappointed when we tried the pollo a la brasa . We ordered the family dinner that came with 4 pieces of chicken (full chicken ) a large salad and french fries. The chicken was flavorless and low quality . The chimichurri ( green sauce ) that came with it was delicious. The French fries were really good and salad was very tasty . The staff was really good attentive. Hopefully they will focus on upgrading their quality of chicken and more flavor because I believe they have a golden opportunity to be successful if they did.
