Maybe I went to this restaurant with too much high expectations. The atmosphere is nice for a bar night, for a sport bar or even a dance club.... not too much as a regular restaurant, it's too dark and it has neon lights. The service was good in general, the waitress was attentive and came to my table often asking if I needed something. Now... the most important, the food... I am very disappointed. The causa acevichada I think it had good ingredients, the fish was good too but there was no flavor; It tasted bland with not enough lime juice or salt. In my second plate, almost the same... good ingredients for the Lomo Saltado but I don't think the made it in a wok, the meat tasted just cooked in a simple pan without that "flame taste", forget about the Tacu Tacu... they don't use the right type of beans and no way it was done correctly as you can see in my photo. I don't think I'll be coming back because of the quality of the plates but I understand that the "fun night" bar atmosphere and activities are their hook for other people to come.. read more

Lucky for us, this place is open late, and it's so much better than eating some random quick eats. This is a Peruvian restaurant, and it has an extensive menu with a lot of delicious options, but their prices are a bit higher than other peruvian spots. We ordered the causa sampler, which was OK though relatively small. The other dishes were also ok. I got the Tacu Tacu, which first couple of bites were very good, but then started to feel too salty. I'm not dismissing the food altogether, but it could be slightly better. Service was somewhat all right, they were polite, but it took a bit for a hostess to welcome us, and our waitress was somewhat absent but would be seen sitting at another clients table just chatting. The restaurant is large and spacious with what seems to be a little casino in the back. When I went, they had karaoke night, but prior to that, they had TV and music all over. I ordered a green spaghetti with ribeye I asked for medium rare, I got an undercooked meat, This was a took out order, I got home and found this, it is pricey, my order was ready like 15 minutes, I had to ask a waitress about my order, it looks like these girls just want to flirt with the guys at the bar, many guys drinking beer drunk people screaming, it is not a family restaurant is a bar and grill. Do not go with kids there, bar is an the middle, the parking is full of working vans and trucks, many people driving drunk and have no license, be-careful if you have a nice car. read more

Terrible. We waited over an hour to get what we ordered. I know it was Mother's Day, but we got here early, around 12:20, before everyone started coming, so no excuse. I had to ask 2 different waitresses until my waitress came after almost an hour later to tell me my food was going to be late, haha, really, I knew that. The causa de pollo was good. The seafood rice chaufa was a little burned, so was dry. Anticuchos were a little dry and lacked seasoning, just a lot of aji panca; even the potatoes were full of aji panca. The pasta alfredo was good. It was dark, and the music was loud, so you couldn't have a conversation. Very disappointed. read more

Definitely not worth the time and prices are extremely overpriced wouldn't rather hit up next door for some tacos. My husband and I visited this new Peruvian restaurant because we love Peruvian food (husband is from Peru). I of course ordered the Ceviche Mixto (mixed seafood ceviche) and oh my so darn delicious and full of flavor. I also ordered a Pisco Sour (Peruvian cocktail) and I definitely wish it came in a bigger glass because it was perfect in taste. My husband ordered Choros a la Chalaca (ceviche mussels) and Jalea (fried seafood) and it was very delicious as well. By the way, we always dip our fried fish in the ceviche juice and all I can say is yum yum. We have eaten at every Peruvian restaurant multiple times in Atlanta and Metro Atlanta and only a few Peruvian restaurants we go to every month. I must say Somos Peru Restaurante is in our top 5 favorite restaurants and we will definitely be coming back often to this restaurant to try more authentic Peruvian dishes. Buena atención. Ceviche regular pues el sabor es al blando y le ponen Ania chino cosa que le cambia ligeramente el sabor original. Lomo saltado y pollo saltado muy ricos aunque el plato muy delgado, la causa rica aunque le falta limon a la papa, las yuquitas a la huancaina, ricas, cantidad adecuadas. Segunda experiencia buena.
