    Tostones Rellenos
    Marni M.

My friend invited me here for salsa on a Friday night. Although it's a bit of a drive for me, it didn't take long since traffic was nonexistent. Plenty of parking in their large lot. We shared their Tostones Rellenos which were huge and very filling. Although cold by the time I got there, they were still well seasoned with lots of creamy sauces on top. Overall, we had a great experience. Staff were nice and the music/dancing was a lot of fun. Would come again!

The staff is friendly, the service is great and the food is amazing. Great variation of Latin cuisine. I give it a A+

We were in the mood to try a new restaurant in the area and found this restaurant in an abandoned strip mall area. There was plenty of parking. AMBIANCE: it was very clean inside and filled up pretty quickly. The atmosphere was well lit. FOOD: there is a $9.99 lunch special that came with rice (citrus-y), plantains , beans. We went t with the pork and steak which were large portions but a bit dry. The Yuca fries $4.25 was tasty but very $$$ for the 5 pieces. Do not recommend. SERVICE: friendly~

The service was good! Went to this place and it was empty! But people did go to pick up a lot! The cubano sandwich was good! And the beans were good as well! Not a fan of the rice! But the cubano sandwich was good!

Read the reviews and followed the trail. Pretty good size. Place needs a little updating. The food made up for the decor. Usually try drinks and appetizer to get a sense of taste. The drinks were a little disappointing. Had a Sangria and a Mojito. The Sangria lacked flavor. Tasted like watered down wine. The mojito needed a little kick. Started with the Trifongo as an appetizer. Ful of flavor, you could taste the garlic and yuca mixed with the plantains. Moved in for the main course. Hemingway Chicken. Had tostones with white rice. The helping was only two of the tostones. Misunderstood as a salad included as well. The tostones were crispy and fully cooked. The rice was well cooked and fully popped. The chicken was well cooked, mushroom cheese sauce flavorful was a great addition. Definitely excited to try this place again.

Great place for a quick lunch special. Chatted with the owner which mentioned that they also do some salsa dancing classes in the evenings. Great welcoming ambiance and the vibe overall. Great prices for a quality food. Would definitely recommend. Thank you!

    Masitas de Puerco

Delicious, I got the masitas de puerco. The fried pork was crispy on the outside, but juicy and tender on the inside. I mixed my black beans with the rice and it was delicious as well. 10/10 will definitely come back

Ordering is simple; you can order at the counter or use one of the kiosks. Once your food is ready, they bring it directly to your table. I also appreciated the self-serve stations for sauces, water, utensils, and to-go boxes. I'm usually not the biggest fan of Cuban cuisine, but was in the area and decided to give it a try anyway. I was pleasantly surprised. Everything I ordered was better than expected. I went with the Combination Sampler, which is great if you want a little taste of everything. It came with a chicken empanada, papa rellena, fried yuca, ham croquettes, sweet plantains, and tostones. Overall, everything was prepared nicely. The only item I wasn't crazy about was the chicken empanada, which tasted a little plain and dry on its own. However, once paired with the sauces, it was much better. Speaking of sauces, they offer plenty of options at the sauce station. My favorite was the creamy cilantro sauce, which paired well with almost everything. They also had ketchup and mayo; perfect for dipping the crispy yuca fries. Along with a spicy sauce that definitely brought the heat. My go-to Cuban dish is usually a Cuban sandwich, but I didn't get a chance to try theirs this visit. Based on the rest of the meal, though, I'd definitely come back for it next time.

I was greeted with a smile and placed an order for an empanada combo. I tried beef, cheese and chicken empanadas. The beef was my favorite. But the others were delicious and my family loved them. It was early so the dining room had only two or three occupied tables and no one at the bar in the back yet. I was greeted immediately and waited a short time for my order to be ready. All the way home I could smell delicious odors from the bag! I ordered Churrasco de Entrada which is grilled skirt steak with chimichurri sauce and two sides. The steak was amazing! Tender, juicy, melted in my mouth. I had grilled vegetables and baked potato for sides. The vegetables were a mixture of broccoli, cauliflower, pea pods, carrots, and zucchini. They were cooked well and flavored with garlic. The foil packet of potatoes contained three small round potatoes also perfectly cooked through not seasoned at all. The meal came with three small dinner rolls and a few packets of butter. Everything was flavorful and delicious; garlic was quite strong though which I loved but might not be everyone's liking. I also ordered Alfajores from the bakery section for dessert. These are little sandwiches with soft shortbread cookies on the outside and soft dulce de leche and coconut filling between them. Four came in the box. This meal was at least two servings for me and it was a wonderful experience. I look forward to eating in the restaurant next time.

The location is in a small plaza with hard time to park because of the amount of businesses around. The restaurant is big with a lot of tables and good for big groups but too dark for my taste, the windows are so dark from outside that if it wasn't for the " open" sign you would think it is close. The food is good, I liked the quality of the chorizo and the skirt steak was grilled properly. I wished the fries were "fresh-cut", I understand that frozen fries are easier but a good steak deserves good fries. Another thing that lowers the experience is that the condiments like ketchup and mayonnaise are in packets like a fast food chain. The service was standard, I had to call my server everytime I wanted a refill. ( even thought the restaurant wasn't full).

I remembered that one of my cousins had brought me here before for food, so I was expecting a decent experience. Unfortunately, today's visit was absolutely disappointing. I placed an order for oxtails, but they were out of mac & cheese, collard greens, and cabbage. The employee also mentioned they only had one dumpling left. What I don't understand is how a restaurant can be out of multiple sides that are supposed to come with the meal, yet still charge full price. The meal alone was $35. My son wanted additional items, so I still ordered food for him, but because the side options were so limited, I decided not to order anything for myself. In total, I ended up spending around $45, and the whole experience was just very disappointing. I really could've just bought the ingredients and made the meal myself, but I've been busy working in the house and handling a few projects, and before I realized it, the day had already gotten late. That's the main reason I decided to stop and buy food instead. Honestly, I guarantee I wouldn't have spent nearly as much making the meal myself as I ended up spending purchasing it there. To make matters worse, the employee serving us came across very nonchalant and unconcerned, which only added to the frustration. Overall, this is not a place I see myself visiting again anytime soon, if ever.

Haven't had one I didn't like yet. There's a special place in my heart for the media noche though. Their fried foods aren't insanely greasy and carries the actual FLAVA other than oil. They use queso fresco in their cheese empanadas which is kind of a big deal for caribeños (even if by marriage lmao). ~ Sidenote: For the love of God, do not serve me an empanada with reg-deg bagged mozzarella... EEYUCK! Once you have that queso fresco babyyyy you cannot turn back. ~ Anywho, the chicken empanadas were kinda of tough to eat but still flavorful. I'd stick to cheese and beef.
