Púlpitos fritos
Pedro Z.

The place looked nice and the food looked good in pictures. Although the restaurant has a nice aesthetic, the food was a bit disappointing. The staff was really nice and eager to recommend dishes. We ordered a wide variety of dishes including the púlpitos fritos, empanadilla de carne y camarón, los pinchos de pollo, nachos de tuna, tacos de pescado, y filete de pescado al grill. The food was bland, not a lot of flavor, the púlpitos were extremely chewy, the fish tacos were dry and seemed like they had been frozen, the tuna nachos were decent, the pinchos and the grilled fish tasted old. Every item we ordered was a bit of a disappointment. It's a shame for a place that has a lot of character and definitely a high influx of people. Also there is no parking.

Spicy watermelon margarita

Delicious spicy watermelon margarita was one of my favorite drinks ever! I ate the chicken tacos and a salad, which were very good. My husband loved the red snapper. We had a very nice waitress. Ceiling fans were nice because it was hot outside. QR codes for menus, which isn't my favorite when dining out with my parents who might have a harder time seeing on their phones. They don't take credit cards - cash or Venmo / equivalent- but they do have an ATM.

Fish sandwich topped with onion rings and fries

Got fish and chips with sweet potato fries, fish sandwich with fries, and fish skewer and salad. All good. Easy lunch in Rincon. Note: cash or Venmo only, no credit cards. They have an ATM on site.

The service was good but the fish and chip was dry. The sweet potatoes fries was burn and the coleslaw was bad. I have been here several time and this was disappointing.

Panko crusted fish and lobster Risotto

This place was so good! We had a party of six and didn't have reservations but were able to be seated pretty quickly. From whole experience from start to finish was great. The restaurant has a coastal CA open air vibe. They feature fresh fish and have a variety of menu options. My one girlfriend got the pear salad and it was so good. The vinaigrette was light and the greens were fresh. I ordered the house fish panko crusted and the presentation was lovely. The fish was fresh caught and just melted in my mouth. It was served with a side of asparagus and lobster risotto. We each tried a variety of cocktails and they were all exceptional. I loved my Naughty Coconut Margarita. It was a great meal and way to spend our last night in Rincon.

Pan-seared mahi mahi.

in We were looking for another place when we passed by and decided to give this a try. So glad that we did. Food was amazing. I had the pan-seared mahi mahi special (pictured below) while mi esposa had the supreme fries. We were both very happy with our choices. Service was fast and friendly. Gotta take away one star because it's right next to a busy road, but the place itself was neat, clean, and modern. Would definitely come back.

Seared mahi-mahi

Food was absolutely delicious. We tried their mahi-mahi, which was the fish of the day seared and it was so full of flavor. We also tried their fresh tuna nachos, which were delicious. The tuna was so fresh and the sauce was tasty. Everyone was very welcoming and kind. Very helpful.

Grilled mahi mahi

Came here for dinner on a Wednesday around 6 pm. It was crowded but no wait, though a line started forming soon after. Covered patio and bar seating with a few tables on the sidewalk. Server was very nice. We got the conch fritters, fish tacos and grilled fish. The food was just average for the price. The fritters had very little conch. The 2 tacos didn't have a lot of flavor. The grilled fish was on the dry and tough side. Fried plantains were greasy and bland, though garlic aioli was good. Service was on island time, so slow. It was pretty loud, so hard to have conversation. Overall, disappointing.

Great food and ambience! I am glad they reopened always a great place to visit when in Rincon. The server was amazing she made us feel like part of the family. Definitely stop bybif your in Rincon Puerto Rico!

Over the course of my stay, I ate here many times with my family. Meals came with tasty garlic…read morebread and a small refreshing house salad. I divided up the food reviews by meal category. Breakfast Omelette- was great. I had tomato, onions, no peppers, and bacon. You can choose from adding bacon or ham. Decent but not mind blowing. Pancakes- you get multiple pancakes in the stack. They were nice and fluffy. I did wish there was some more whipped cream on the plate, which are the dollops next to it in my picture. It came with a little plastic container of syrup. Spanish omelette- had like 0 eggs in it, I expected an omelette with potatoes but it was just potatos and tortilla. Not bad just not expected. Appetizers and sides Potatoes- good Mofongo- pretty good. A little dry but I think it maybe is supposed to be like that. Great with the chicken and rice stew. Bean soup- the rice was salted, which I did not know. I put the rice in the soup to tone down the salt, but I accidentally made it even saltier. The only appetizer I would not get again if they continue to salt the rice. Beans and rice- good Lunch and dinner meals Red snapper - good, came with a side of your choice. I chose beans and rice. Rice was good and fluffy. The beans were tasty. The snapper came with a rich sauce and some vegetables. Fish Tacos- very good. I enjoyed this very much with a green local hot sauce that came if you asked for hot sauce. I would get this again if I came back. This was on the bar menu I think. Nachos- came in a big portion. Very large and good. Salad- ok. Rice and chicken stew- good. Tasted very homey and comforting like something grandma would make. There were chicken bones that you have to watch out for though. Pasta primavera- based on googling primavera pasta beforehand, I was expecting a light pasta entree, but this was smothered in butter and cheese, which was very heavy and not at all what I expected. It was tasty though, but very rich. Drinks Strawberry frappe- (non alcoholic version) tasted like an elevated slushie. It tasted like it was made from a strawberry syrup instead of fresh strawberries. Pina colada- (non alcoholic version) a good pina colada.

Sitting right by the water with the waves splashing up at you is epic, especially around sunset. The setting alone feels like it should be an unforgettable dining experience. Unfortunately, the service has consistently been unfriendly and unwelcoming, which really takes away from the atmosphere. The food has been marginal at best--fine, but not memorable, and not quite what you'd expect given the location and potential of the space. It's worth stopping by for the view (and the waves) alone, but I wouldn't come here specifically for the food or service. With friendlier staff and better food, this place could be something really special.
