Great food and ambience close to a great beach! Bartenders are always friendly with the locals

Went here with my friend before a storm in hopes of getting shelter and being able to chill-- workers were rude af to us and I noticed them being nice to the locals. Urged us to cash out with rude tone as well. Safe to say not going back & will stick to harbor restaurant down the beach! At harbor drinks are half the price and staff is so nice read more

This place is a little divey hut but a cute place we stumbled upon in the Rincon Marina area. There are several options to grab a drink, but this place definitely hit the spot..I'm not big fan of passion or guava juice, but that punch was delicious! I'm pretty sure it had a little pinapple and banana in it also. Service was okay they had two bartenders and looked pretty busy. They sure delivered. They do have a restroom just FYI. read more

Solid beachside spot for food and drink. Plenty of parking in the beach lot. Shirt and shoes NOT required! Typical to Rincon long wait for food but the drinks come quickly. In an attempt to get more veggies in my diet I asked what veggies come on the nachos and was told mixed roasted veggies. I should have gone with chicken because they put a bag of frozen broccoli and cauliflower on it lol! Tacos were solid and the mixed drinks were okay but very strong! read more

Best mojito in Puerto Rico so far! I had to get 2! The shark and crab empanadas were delish and we tried 3 different tacos a la carte. Our food took a little longer to come out since they just opened when we arrived so the bartender delivered shots to everyone and took one with us! A great time near the beach! Tldr - it's a bar...on the beach... You know what you are getting. Drinks are strong and made with real juice. They happily made my son a Pina colada without rum and easily put an 1 1/2" of whipped cream on top. Food takes a *long* time to come out. I always get the large assortment (surtido). It's enough for a light lunch for 8. The chicken is real chicken, and the fish is real fish, and the pork is just chunks of pork. No mystery meat here! It's simple plain and deep fried. Marina Beach where they are located has good shady spots, you can rent paddle board or kayak. And if all else fails - amazing people watching. (Wait! What am I saying? Now you're all going to come! We arrived during the afternoon and it was pretty full. There were a group of American locals and it was rowdy and loud! But definitely fun! The menu is long and varied. Prices are fair. We enjoyed our dinner , it was at our table in a timely manner and hot. Which I do care a lot for it since good and hot food is the best. It's a 4 star, since they served us and didn't even left us plates to eat; we had to share 1 plate - ok. And the server didn't return since we didn't have more to drink. What a trip! Seriously, our trip to Rincòn was pretty amazing, but a visit to this little beachside bar was the cherry in the piña colada! It was Super Bowl Sunday, but you wouldn't know it by the laziness of our pace and rush to get nowhere. We were beachside, looking to get some strong drinks and didn't have to look far: El Ancla was literally 50 feet from the waves. We ordered up some piña coladas with Puerto Rican rum and we were definitely not dissatisfied. They were tasty, cold and strong! We hung casually at the small, outdoor bar (the whole place is an outdoor bar/restaurant) feeling the cool breeze on our faces as the warm sun went down. The prices were great and the people were friendly. Definitely stop in for a drink if you're ever lucky enough to find yourself in the small, beachside, laid-back town of Rincòn. And let your worries fly away... Wait... did we miss the Super Bowl?! read more

Great location for a bar / restaurant on beach, but poor service. Waited to be seated, host never came. Grabbed a menu and self seated. Mind you, the bar was relatively empty on a Tuesday afternoon. Waited 15 + mins to have a server come to our table, did not come so, I went to the bar to order food. There were two bartenders and, they basically ignored me for another 10 mins as they were serving those around me and those already seated. "Really poor customer service" and bad first impression for paying tourist. I really wanted to just walk out but we already invested 30mins to be served, so I finally got one of their attention. Ordered Chicken Burrito, tostones. and beef + chicken empandillas. Very average quality and smaller portions, but that is to be expected at a beach bar. It wasn't the food that was a turn off .... rather the horrid service. I work as a tour guide in DC and I know the "customer is king"! There are plenty of other options right in this 2 block area. I do NOT recommend!!! Looking forward to a better experience in our week long stay in Rincon PR. read more

So after a day of surfing in Rincon, needed a place to just sit, relax and eat some chow. The empanada selection here is amazing! Aside from your standard beef, pork and chicken, there's shrimp, lobster, conch, shark, etc.... I had the lobster, conch and shark meat. They were all great! If you're an adventurous eater or just like having a wide selection of things, definitely come here for their empanadas! read more

To some, this might be a hole on the wall. To others, a shack. To me was a hidden treasure! I visited this location on June 30th after a recommendation from a Co-worker back in the states. I was skeptical at first however, the places was very, very busy. People came and went. Many with take outs. The food was great, we decided to try the tacos of chicken and stake. They were delicious. Generous amount of filling. We also had the turnovers made from octopus, crab and fish. The food took a while but it was worth it. Everything tasted fresh and it explains how busy they were. Would I visit the place again? Yes. When? Maybe on my next trip. I have other places I would like to try on this short trip. The beach is excellent. The local town also has a lot to offer. If you decide to visit this location, caution with the directions from google, since it wants tongive you the fastest route, it will send thru residential streets and the roads are extremely narrow with cliffs on both sides. Extremely dangerous! Stay on route 413. Take time and visit the other establishments in route as well. read more

It took an hour and 15 minutes to get our nachos. We asked twice and was told they were coming. Our server acknowledged it was a long time and said it was because the restaurant was full. It was our first time there so I can't say for certain, but it definitely did not feel like it was crazy busy and full. The server who was at the table next to us, dropped off drinks and said they were on her since it was taking so long. We figured we'd get something for the long wait, but when we got our check nothing was adjusted. We literally wanted nothing more than to get out of there and everything seemed to take three times longer than it should have, so we paid and left.
