Carne asada tacos and a fried cod taco
    Masha V.

This place is located one floor below the Vail transportation center. There's free chips and salsa! Love that and there's a little salsa bar for you to get your own. Carne asada tacos: street tacos come in two. You can order flour or corn tortilla, I ordered flour. The steak was chewy and needed to be sliced thinner. Fried cod taco: Flavors were just ok. Fish was fried and tasted fine. Macho burrito: is huge! Got the carne asada one. Again, steak is chewy and needs to be sliced thinner. Service was friendly and quick. The place has plenty of seating and even has a bar for alcoholic beverages. There are also restrooms nearby. The price is right and you can't beat that in Vail.

The best Mexican food I have had in a long time! Had the carne asada street tacos and sopapillas. Best of all they made us and our pup feel very welcome! Skip the fancy places in Vail and feed your soul here!

vail village's best kept secret!! first of all, you either have to be a local avid skier, coming in and out of the station, to even be aware of this amazing well-hidden gem "shy... thank you so much 4 the amazing service & simply outstanding time last weekend!!" rae & i had an amazing incredible time!! best fish tacos ever!!!! ‍‍ workaholic took a break

    Salsa bar

Very solid low cost fast and convenient Mexican food right at the transportation center in Vail village. Chips don't seem quite the same as previous years but still solid and a fave with local working staff. Full bar service. Often our first take out order on our way into town. Chile relleno outstanding. Online order app a bit wonky. That could use improvement (the order did not allow for plan ahead or specify which tacos we had ordered)

    Complimentary chips and salsa!

Great little Mexican hole-in-the-wall spot at Vail village. Get the street tacos. Can't go wrong with any of them.

You head to the back counter where you place your food order, and then you can head over to a table to sit and wait for the food to be ready. Once its ready, you head up to the counter to collect your food. The restaurant portion is real cute. They have some colorful tables and chairs which give it a nice Mexico vibe. Once you get your food, you can head over to the salsa bar and add all the additional toppings your heart desires. They have all kinds of sauces from spicy to mild and even have jalapenos and sliced radishes. I got an asada taco and a barbacoa taco and they were both delicious. But my favorite was the barbacoa. It had so much flavor and it was so juicy. I also got an horchata and it was perfect. One of the best I've had! The grocery side itself offers a huge variety of goodies you can find in Mexico including candy which is always what I look for!

The other half of the place is the restaurant. It's more like a small cafe which delivers authentic vibes but very humble. Food was amazing. We had their tacos and I had the burrito which was huge and packed with beef, rice, beans and guacamole. I had it with the loaded sauce on top. So basically you order your food and pick up once you're called. We tried their horchata and it was so delicious. Just the right touch of sweetness. Definitely a hidden gem but remember I rated this for their food and service. This is a humble authentic place.

This visit, we ordered the Watermelon Gazpacho (GF), Beef Short Rib Anticucho (GF), and Ensalada de Manzana y Manchego (GF). The Beef Short Rib Anticucho was the star of the meal, at least for me, I honestly wanted more because it was so good! The salad was also delicious and, while definitely more apple-heavy than greens, they were happy to accommodate my request for extra greens. My only criticism is that the menu doesn't mention the compressed watermelon in the gazpacho is infused with sangria. As someone who no longer drinks alcohol, I could definitely taste it and wish that had been disclosed on the menu. Overall, Besame remains one of my favorite spots in Steamboat. Consistently great food, great service, and always a solid dining experience.

We ordered about 10 different toppers for the table, so it was pretty good odds to find a couple that weren't winners, but I have to be honest. The ambience is so cute, very swanky, but anything in Colorado still feels casual because everyone shows up in flannels and T-shirts. We had a 5 o'clock reservation and were sat right on time, and the service was really great. I started with a Pisco sour, one of my favorite drinks and really uncommon to find in this part of the world. It was delicious. I could've drank five of them. We shared a bunch of tapas for the table, starting with the patatas bravas, octopus, ceviche, duck wings, yuca frita, croquetas, gyozas, and shishito peppers. The clear winner was the ceviche - not your typical Peruvian style, made with salmon and a thicker aji amarillo sauce. It was absolutely amazing and served with these yummy plantain chips that paired so well with it. Those were also a big standout. The texture was perfect both outside and inside. I liked the octopus too, and the patatas bravas were good but felt they could have been a little more crispy on the outside and had the sauce more well-distributed. The wings really were not memorable, overly breaded and thickly sauced. The yuca was the biggest letdown of the night, usually one of my favorite dishes, but these tasted like they came frozen from a bag and did not even finish microwaving before they were served. Still, I loved some of these dishes so much that I would definitely come back and stick with what I liked and try some new things too. Thanks!

Also, they have a sizable outdoor bar outside, which is an interesting element. I would highly recommend getting outside and grabbing a drink or dinner there. Portions: The sides are sizable. We definitely underestimated how large the sides were going to be as a group. We should have gotten half of the sides because they were so plentiful. The main entree portions are pretty standard. So, be aware and ask more questions before ordering appetizers and sides. Half-Chicken: The half chicken was great. Tender, easy to cut, and had a unique flavoring. I would recommend it. It came with a salad which was light and airy. Nothing special or sizable. The meal is built around the chicken and is 90-93% chicken. The coolest part of the presentation is the skillet it comes out on. The skillet is sad inside a sizeable block of wood which gives the meal a substantial "cool" factor. Pro Tip: Make a reservation on Open Table. This place can get busy, so be sure to take the time to make a reservation. Pro Tip: The staff is very nice and accommodating. We had the standard 10-person party that 10 minutes before show time became a 4-person party because people flaked. They were very nice and understanding and sat the four who showed up on time at their table with no hassle. So they are very professional.
