Super friendly staff. Really well seasoned food. I ordered a spicy dish of pollo da la Diabla which was really good. The measure of a restaurant for me is their rice and whether or not it's seasoned and flavorful. Here is was really good. They were attentive and nice. As a compliment to their hospitality, it started raining when I was there and they rushed out to close the blinds to the patio to ensure I didn't get wet. This place took over the spot formerly occupied by Moe's Original BBQ in Vail. I was said to hear Moe's left. It was always busy and fun. This restaurant didn't change much from the Moe's decor. It still felt like Moe's to me except Mexican food and a lot less crowded. The food was decent. Large portions for a good price for Vail. If you are hungry, this may be the place for you. Free chips and salsa came out right away. The menu was expansive. Anything you can dream of in the Mexican food genre, they probably have. I hope they don't get expensive and realize they can up their prices because it's Vail. read more

Really surprised by all the good reviews. The food was bad. Like bad bad. Beans were so watery and flavorless, and same with rice and the steak was chewy. Very much feels frozen to on your plate. Lots and lots of good authentic Mexican in the valley, this is not it. read more

DO NOT GO!!!! This is truly one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to. The staff was very slow, and it took about 30 minutes to receive our drinks. We had 2 tables for a party of 12. We did say one check to make it easier on the server. They were very busy since it was after Christmas and right before new year. However, one person a 17-year-old in our party has a severe nut allergy. She as multiple times if there were any nuts in the food. There is a disclaimer on the menu that says you should let your server know if you have a food allergy, which she did. After two bites of her enchilada, she knew something was wrong. She went to her parents and they took her outside. Her throat started to close and her tongue was swelling. They gave her an EpiPen and had an ambulance come to take her to the hospital. She had to stay at the hospital for an additional 3 hours to ensure she did not have anaphylactic shock. While all of this was going on. I went to the waiter and asked about any nuts in the food He did not know. So, I went to what I thought was the manager, but she informed me she was NOT the manager. When I asked her about nuts, she did finally admit they use peanut oil. All our children ages 15-18 also stated that they were asked during ordering if there are any nuts in the food. With the response being no. When I asked the lady who was NOT the manager and explained the severity of the situation. Her response was, this is a "he said, she said" and she has to believe the waiter over us. We finished our food, packed up the parent's food who were with their daughter at the hospital. Then were asked to leave the table because they had another party waiting. They did not take the food off for the young lady in the hospital or do anything to acknowledge our situation. Not to mention all the above, but the food was not good and neither were the margaritas. I would NEVER go to this restaurant again and I hope other people are able to read this before they decide to go, read more

I love a good fiesta / fajita / Mexican salad. The chicken fajita salad here was by far the worst salad I ever had. Drenched in grease and the "mixed greens" are just a few sprigs of iceberg lettuce. The location is just a little odd too and could use more attention for the ambience. No draft beer. Only came here because side my husband really wanted Mexican. He couldn't finish his food either because of the amount of grease. The server was very kind though. read more

This restaurant is a great new addition to Lionshead. The food and margarita were so good and much better than other Mexican food we've had in Vail. Service was great - friendly and efficient. It's a little away from the center of Lionshead, but up the stairs and right next to the Little Diner. The food is reasonably priced and worth the money. When we come to Vail, we usually book all of our restaurant reservations through Open Table. This was worth canceling a better-known restaurant reservation to try. read more
