Every time I go here the staff is always so kind && accommodating. Paula did a gel fill-in for me with a shellac polish && she did an amazing job (as she always does). The salon is very clean and has everything that you could possibly want for a spa day. I always recommend this establishment to anyone in the area because they are the best in every aspect of the business. Way over priced and they don't know how to work with curly hair! I wanted a cut and a simple blow-out and got a whole lot of frizz instead! When I said "My hair gets much straighter than this, you just have to really blow dry it or use a flat iron." They said, "Oh no, your hair is kind of kinky, it can't be straightened without putting special chemicals in it." I was flabbergasted! How do you say that to a customer? I will NEVER return to La Carezza after years of being a client. I just left the beauty salon at 4pm. Phil was nice enough to fit me in today for a pedi, mani and hair color; all in preps for an interview tomorrow. I had my pedi (the woman wore gloves), my hair color, (She wore gloves and mask, which I can understand) then mani (a different woman doing my hands, she wore a mask and gloves!) Ernie washed my hair, wonderfully!! He was the only one that didn't make me feel I was diseased!!! He should have been the one to wear gloves, as he was dealing with color on my hair. I tip very well, always have! $20 for my hair dresser, $10 for pedi, $10 for mani, $10 to shampooer and am as courteous as I can be with everyone. I was told I could not get my hair blown out, after my hair washing, because of scheduling, which I can understand due to fitting me in as it was. Phil and Ernie, both, offered me a blow dryer to use. I had had enough at that point and said no thank you. If these women wore the gloves and masks because of a recent fine or new health code, I should have been told, or a sign posted. I felt as if I were carrying Ebola! I will miss Kate, Ernie and Phil! I've been seeing Nadia for my waxing needs since 2006. She's very attentive and skilled at waxing. She genuinely cares about me and we have great conversations. I love being able to walk through the door of La Carezza and be greeted by name. The rates are reasonable and only just went up a small percentage for the first time since I've been going. NOT for a new customer- they clearly treat their regulars well but don't give good service to first time customers. I just got the worst blow out. So bad I am probably going to rewash my hair and do myself. The owner told me to not come back because "im impossible" also really not a way to speak to customers. My mother got a mani-pedi here which cost her two weeks of her vacation stay. The person performing the work cut her too deeply when trimming her nails -towels were not changed because they said there was a shortage of towels and in general they lacked cleanliness. She developed severe infections in her toes and fingers that brought her to the urgent care facility 5 times because she was in such pain and was not recovering. read more

The staff was pleasant and amazing, it was my first time going there, and was pleasantly surprised, when I walked in the the atmosphere was light and fun,the stylist's were matching an it was a very professional appearance. The over all experience was a joy. The person that did my hair was an absolute sweetheart, and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my hair, while keeping it healthy. I was in dire straits with my 6-month neglected hair and was sorely due for a cut. After having so many bad (or mediocre) experiences with other salons, I came in with no expectations. Well. I left there in awe of how professionally done and amazing my hair looked after getting a simple cut and blow out. They were able to take me in 2 hours prior to making an appointment and the entire staff there is absolutely pleasant. It's nice to know I have finally found my salon after years of looking! I have never really understood the hype about LaCarezza. I have been there several times and have never really been overly enthralled with my results. I haven't been there for a haircut in years, so I do not want this based on my haircutting experiences, I am writing this on my waxing experiences. I am a nut over my eyebrows, I found a really great girl here that did an EXCELLENT job on my eyebrows. She was friendly, and tamed my crazy eyebrows! It was pricey, but worth it because of the great job. Well one time I came in, I had an appointment for a certain time, I was waiting for 20 minutes past the time my appointment was suppose to be , when the counter person came over and said that the esthetician was getting a facial and still wasn't done, would it be okay if someone else did my eyebrows. So I figured, sure why not, if she is that great, they all must be. WRONG. The woman that did my eyebrows, there is NO WAY she could have had her beauty license. She butchered my eyebrows, they were completely uneven - I SHOULD have said something to them, but I didn't completely my fault on that part, but what could they have done? My eyebrows were way over plucked and uneven, and she burnt me with the wax. I haven't been back there since. I would give LaCarezza 2 stars based on that experience, but I feel it is unfair since that is the only service they provide, so I am giving them 3. You be the judge, but beware. read more

This is a good salon for the price and location. I have had cuts, coloring and chemical relaxing there. The staff is friendly and professional. When I had a hair emergency a few months ago, I called for an appointment and they took me that same day. Their experienced colorist fixed my charcoal black hair disaster, acquired from a store-bought box, and saved my life. They also do excellent reflexology. It's a bit pricey, but it's worth it. read more

I will never go here again. The person next to me had a terrible toe fungus and they were doing her pedicure. Nail polish that touched her toes was put back on the shelf, cotton tips touched her toes and repeatedly touched a shared polish remover. It was very unsanitary. I've been getting my hair done (color, cuts, blow dries) here regularly for nearly 10 years and I have been very satisfied with the results. It appears to be a nice salon at first glance, but as you look around, you realize it's old and not well maintained. It's dirty and the bathrooms are disgusting. The staff, including the guy who owns the place, act like you don't deserve to be there. I'm coming into their salon and paying for service I can get elsewhere; I don't need an attitude, rather I'd like to be Thanked for spending money there. I gave it a couple chances, but never again! Extremely overpriced!! And only because its in the Hamptons! It has nothing to do with the quality of their services. From the start the person who did my hair was trying to get me to do more things (I just went for highlights) and also burned the ends of my hair. Also I was asked 3 times if I was doing something else besides highlights. They seemed desperate to convince me to do more things to my hair. Also i was asked if i was having a blowout (twice) and i said no. So after they washed it, they just combed it, and that was it. I left the salon with dripping wet hair. I actually had to take the towel and pat them dry so as not to have it drip on my shirt. I couldn't even see how the highlights turned out. I think they could at least half dried it. I found them to be very unprofessional and they seemed to care only about the money they could make off of me. Very unhappy and I will never go back again. read more
