OK, first I want to say that it smells outstanding when you walk into this place! You can either park on the side street or right in front of the market. When you walk in, the meat counter is on the right hand side. The robust selection of cuts, desserts, and side dishes is a little bit overwhelming, but only because it all looks so delicious. They make their barbecue sauce, beef jerky, and chorizo in-house. If you like chorizo, this is a must have! We got the ribs, a whole chicken, rice and beans and a couple slices of homemade flan! And I had to try the salsa... Everything is so fresh and made with love! I recommend this place highly! If you haven't already tried this place, give it a shot! You will not be disappointed. Carne asada and chicken taco. I'm allergic to cilantro so thats why I asked for only meat.

I've been meaning to try this place after seeing the bbq grill outside the parking lot. I had two tacos which were the best tacos I've ever had. Actually charcoal bbqed, full of flavor. He gave such a huge portion that I had to divide my two tacos into four. I'm eager to go back for more!

If your in town looking for a nice little bbq food this is the spot they start smoking early for the lunch. The tri-tip sandwich is on point and the ribs, chicken as well I have been coming here for the past 2 years and it's a market and meal market as well it's really convenient location only problem is parking is tight and on a busy street best advice is to park across a street in empty parking lot, hot food here is good you won't be disappointed. Call ahead for pre order to pick up.

We did come in 10 mins before they were closing, we thought we could still grab some tri tip sandwiches. We walked in and the son said with a sigh and attitude, Hi How can we help you? We ask for the sandwiches to which he sighs again and says Sure! Sarcastically. He checks the cooler then slams that shut. Then the other employee asks what we wanted and he says loud enough for us to hear, just two sandwiches! And the other one responds "I just put that away." Then he says that's usually how it goes!! He comes back out and they're making little comments to each other. We wait maybe 5 minutes and it's ready which is great. Until the other kid dropped the paper bag on the counter and says here you go! With a sarcastic voice and smile. I never want to be a Karen but this was some of the worst customer service I have ever received. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone especially for just two half way decent tri tip sandwich for $38. Yikes. You would think that a family owned business would want to provide good customer service.

This one has been in a couple of locations but service is good and friendly. They have so many prepared foods in the deli that lunch is a good possibility, although they could use a few tables, inside or outside. I got a burrito de carne asada today and it was huge. For the price, it was an even better value. It was quite tasty. I forgot about the tamales, or I would have asked for those. They had a few and they might not have had what I liked but still...tamales. The meats in the display looked good and fresh. The rest of the store is neat and clean. I've been on the halal food kick for a few years now. I've been to a few spots but after having some of the best I've ever tried in NYC, I had been chasing that same level of food ever since. To be honest I'm not sure what people actually call this food, like is it technically middle eastern food or what. I'm not sure. Ever since I had first started eating it, it was introduced to me as halal food. Then is the Greek/Mediterranean version of it still considered/prepared halal? All of this to say I don't necessarily know what good halal food really is but I can tell you about my experience. Food: What I can say is that I have never had a bad food experience here. I've had their chicken shawarma, the gyros and most recently the fries. The chicken shawarma is flavorful yet not overpowering. I don't know how to describe the flavors because I'm not too familiar with their food type. What I really like is that they get a nice char and crisp from cooking it on the flat top. As for the gyro it's rich and flavorful as well. I'd like if they got a little crisp and char on it like their chicken but with the tenderness you get from it it's hard to complain. I also really enjoy their hummus. It's pretty basic but good. I like that it comes as part of their plates but you can also get a side order of it as well. To prep my lunches for the week I'd often buy some hummus and their raw chicken shawarma. That's how much I enjoy their food. Recently I ordered their chicken shawarma fries and those were on point as well. Crispy fries on top of some chopped veggies with that all topped with a generous portion of chicken shawarma. General: They share the location with my favorite coffee shop in the area (House of Mokha). Habibi's is the market up in the front half of the building with a butcher counter and also serves the halal food that appears made or order. Aside from their food, I enjoy the variety of (middle eastern?) drinks and sodas.
