First time coming here. Parking lot is in the back behind the liquor store. There should be a sign…read morethat says parking. Came in around 11 for lunch. Place has a salsa bar and some limited seating. I ordered the carne asada super quesadilla as well as two chicharonnes tacos and a horchata. Was given a tray for chips and two cups for the salsa bar. Salsa bar was pretty good they had a lot of options as well as grilled/pickled veggies. Food came out and the quesadillas were sliced in a narrow way which i liked cuz i can dip in the salsa. Tacos were also good and flavorful. Overall great place for Mexican food. For sure would come back and try their ribs or other meats.

Today, we went to try this place out. I ordered a whole chicken and half a pound of pork belly…read morechicharrones. I was initially hesitant about the chicharrones since they cost $5.00 each and looked a little old. I asked if they were fresh, and they assured me they were. The nice lady convinced me to get a half pound for $10.00, which is usually about three pieces. Surprisingly, when I got home and opened the box, I found a few extra pieces--thank you! Unfortunately, the pieces were really tough, and even with a sharp knife, they were hard to cut. The flavor overall was good; I just wish I could've eaten them when they were soft and tender. The other highlight was the fresh homemade corn tortillas that came with the whole chicken I purchased. The chicken cost $23.00, which is expensive, but it was definitely worth it. The smoky flavor was delicious, and the tortillas were great. The last thing I'll mention is that their salsa bar had a nice variety of choices. The pork belly chicharrones aren't a deal breaker for me. I'll give this place another try, and try some of their other options. I encourage anyone interested to do the same.

But the recent changes to the Monday/Wednesday happy hour tacos caught me off guard. The deal now requires everyone at the table to buy alcohol, not just one person -- and the tacos themselves have gotten smaller, too. I don't really have a problem with the alcohol policy itself; that's pretty standard for happy hour. What got me was the service. I sat at the bar for nearly 20 minutes and the bartender ignored me the whole time -- no greeting, no heads-up about the new policy, nothing. Had someone just told me, I would've sat in the dining room from the start. No signage, no note on the menu, no acknowledgment at the bar. All around, a disappointing experience. I'll probably still be back -- back to my usual fajita salad -- but good things can't last forever, I guess.

The restaurant itself is dated and the menus look a good twenty years old. The kitchen is very dated. The bench seating is old-looking and uncomfortable. The food though is pretty decent. The bartenders make good drinks. The happy hour goes till 8pm.
