Interesting experience with some hits but quite a few misses. Service was exceptional. Greeted warmly and seated quickly. We started off with a couple margaritas, a side of queso and guacamole. Their chips and salsa were ok....no not really. Their salsa's are "bland". Missing flavor. We tried multiple and non were tasty. We added some verde to their main salsa, squeezed a lime or two and asked for some cilantro, salt and created the perfect salsa. Their Queso had a generic taste. It doesn't taste like real cheese and was liquidity....Even as it cooled it was too runny. A big miss. Their guacamole also felt "premade". Another miss. I ordered the verde enchiladas and enjoyed them. They were tasty but was light on the green sauce. He had the Flautas and Sour cream enchilada. Both were really good. Flautas were crispy. read more

The customer service was great here, but the food was just OK. I wasn't too impressed with it. I had the chile rellenos and my mom had the pozole. Both were just ok. Place is bigger than it looks. It's decoration are lovely and colorful. Small waiting area plus desserts to checkout before getting seated. They have a full bar with a TV As we got settled in at our table. Chips and salsas were placed down and service right away. Food was delicious. I ordered a menudo and although I had already read it on the menu, I thought well maybe it's a misprint but the young man said when I ordered with Hominy he said that's a dollar extra for hominy first time I've ever been encountered with a restaurant charging you to put hominy inside the menudo I have given Casa de lina several chances but it's always something in this place. I've been here four times now and each time I keep saying it's just as delicious! I keep bringing anyone who will join me for amazing Mexican food. This time we ordered the menudo and chilaquiles and also had a guacamole with the chips while we waited. The food was just as delicious as I remembered it the first time! The staff just as friendly and attentive and the timing was just right! (Enough to know it's fresh food but not too long where your wondering what's happening back there) we drank the fresh squeezed lemonade and the cafe de olla. I love that the food is always so authentically tasty and the decore just reminds me of the little decorations I see in my tias houses. If you want to try authentic Mexican food you should stop by and see what they have. I still like everything I've had and will continue to come for the menudo and bring new friends so I can also try their plates lol. This looks like a little hole in the wall restaurant but don't let it deceive you, it opens up to a large dinning area with plenty of space. I think about these sopes alllll the time. They were the best sopes I've ever had even in comparison to some I've tried in Mexico! The meats we tried were chicken, asada, and pork. They were so tender, savory, and the salsas were all delicious! The ambiance was poppin and excellent service. We even ordered something to go at the last minute before they closed without realizing it and the staff was super sweet about it even when we apologized and tried to cancel the chef was so polite and insisted on making the order. As a white girl married to a Mexican in another life (lol), I learned about mole' from my first MIL. I was immediately in love with it and shocked that it contained peanut butter & cocoa powder. Let me say that the very first bite of the mole enchiladas here sent me reeling back to her kitchen 40 years ago. YUM The queso was very good, as was the salsa. The warm chips with the queso seemed much fresher than the ones we got with our salsa. Hubby got the chicken fajitas and said they were good, although served differently than most Mexican restaurants now. No showy sizzling plate, just nice hot food. Our service was top notch - very friendly and fast and the frozen margarita was excellent!! No weird neon green here... actually looked and tasted of real lime juice. We stopped by for breakfast and I highly recommend this place. Definitely authentic Mexican breakfast! They start you off with complimentary chips and salsa. Salsa has a great kick to it! They do have spicier salsa available if you ask for it. The service was very attentive and wonderful. Ambiance is relaxed! The Huevos rancheros were so tasty and the salsa was also spicy which was great for me. Wish the regular coffee would have been much warmer but other than that a great place to eat ! My friend said something negative about this restaurant so I wanted to check it out. Lol. I needed to go to the Threading Salon and my Dad needed to eat breakfast so, I told my Dad to get breakfast and order me something. Then when I was done at the threading salon, I would meet him at the restaurant. I waited a bit at the Threading Salon so, when I got to the restaurant I thought my food would be ready but it wasn't?. Just about every table was full and they seem to have help. I'm not sure what was going on? Then I waited some more while in the restaurant. The ladies spoke English and they were really nice. The first batch of chips we got were old and stale. The Hot Sauce had a subtle kick to it. The second batch of Chips were warm and fresh. If you get your order to go, they give you a complimentary Salsa and Chips. I ordered the Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas. They were two large flower tortillas topped with Sour Cream and a good amount of shredded Chicken. The shredded chicken was bland and the sour cream sauce was just okay. The Beans were very tasty. The Rice liked flavor but, it did have a few peas in it. The visual presentation was spot on. I took half of my lunch home and it was so good! This Restaurant is for everybody. You see the semi young couple on a date and you see the Senior couple on a date, you see the large Hispanic family and you see the hard-working Hispanic laborers chowing down, along with a guy that came from the gym and grabbed his family with him. I really enjoyed the ambience of the Restaurant. There's a lot of detail that grabs your eye. I love the name of this restaurant too. In English it translates to The House of Lina. read more

Saw Bud Kennedy's review on La Casa and thought we would try it. Wow, it was really good! Very simple interiors, clean and a little cute The chips and salsa were exceptional. The salsa had some heat, but really tasted good, a little like Uncle Julio's, but better. Had their top shelf margarita and loved it. We had the chicken enchiladas verdes and the chile rellenos. Both were very good, the enchilada verdes at Los Asaderos are the best, but these were very good. Enjoyed the food, drinks and friendly service staff. We found this exceptional family owned and operated hole in the wall and it did not disappoint. The service was friendly and our server helped me choose between two items I was in between. Highly recommend! It is not fancy, but it is delicious and will definitely be a regular spot for us. I am already craving it again. We had the enchilada trio and tried three different tacos: brisket, pastor, and another pork option with a green sauce. Everything had amazing flavor and tasted very fresh. I asked our server what her favorite item on the menu was, and she said the mole because her grandmother makes the sauce. The enchilada trio was perfect since it let me try the mole along with a couple of other enchiladas I knew I would enjoy. Seriously thought I was getting punked when waitress brought the little 4" tacos, I've never seen a taco this small. Otherwise the beans were good but can't say much for the store bought nacho size tortillas. Would not recommend wasting your time with many better options in the area. read more

It took quite awhile to get our entrees but they had a sign that the wait was worth it. Their special coffee was terrific and the margarita with Chamoy and tajin was great. I have heard great things about this place and wanted to give it a try. My wife and I went for a late Sunday lunch and WOW!! The food was excellent and the chicken mole reminded me of the mole mi abuela used to make. My wife ordered the carne asada street tacos that came with refried beans and Mexican rice. The price was very reasonable and the food was delicious and definitely better than higher priced places we've been to. Atmosphere was also comfortable and seemed authentic. Not at all what we expected as we pulled into the parking lot. A definite recommend! read more
