hate leaving negative reviews because I run a business, but I'm so disappointed with how they handled my situation. I convinced my family to eat there to try the place. They wanted to go to our usual spot, but it was farther away. I ordered a cake, and when I got my food, I took two bites and saw a hair! My father-in-law asked me if I was sure, and I showed him. I don't like to complain, but I had to tell them to stop, and so I wouldn't be the only one eating, I gave them my plate with the hair and waited for them to make me another one. By the time they brought it, my family had finished, but they waited for me. When I went to pay, I thought the woman would at least offer me a small discount. But she didn't, and I asked if she would give me a discount because of what happened. I'm not asking for anything for free, but my experience was bad, and I had to wait. The woman told me no, that it happens everywhere. I decided to pay, because the bitter woman with the bad service, who claimed to be the owner, needs it more than I do. We will never return, and I will tell my ENTIRE family about this place. I will also tell the employees where I worked because, honestly, I understand that things happen, but when they make you feel like you're the problem when THEY were the ones who accidentally dropped their sweaty hair, it's just awful. The lady even told me, "I had to do it twice!" How ignorant! Of course she had to, because of HER mistake. When you see something wrong, they treat you badly. We see all the bad things, and then there's a step right outside that many people, especially older people, could fall on, and the parking lot is terrible. I don't understand what's good about that place! How disgusting! The lady was in such a bad mood and gave such terrible service that when my sister-in-law was paying, she asked, "Do you charge for paying by card?" and the bitter lady said, "If it's not me, it's the machine." As you crossed the front door go get you sit. Don't expect to be sit it because this ain't Wicked Butcher or Ellerbe lol. The place inside is open, spacious and colorful. It have TV and to my surprise they don't serve alcohol!!! Yup! No corona, craft beer or that margarita you've been craving for. But let me be the first one to say that after my fort bite I did not missed my beer at all. Menu was very simple and straightforward for the reader. We order some gorditas de pollo y al pastor. Both of them delicious. You can tell they have no fear to season. I also tasted some of the best aguas frescas I ever had. I love the rustic and organic vibe from the decor. Wack! How the hell does this place stay open? Giant high chairs and high priced items would make anybody stay away well at least I won't come back. How is this a Mexican joint and not have a 3 taco plate? And the most insulting part NO CHIPS AND SALSA!!! And man do they over load it with cilantro as a filler to cover up the little amount of meat that is used. Small baby cup of rice $2.50 can of soda $1.50 Grilled onions $1.50 Jalapeño $1.50 Cup of water $1.50 Each taco $1.75 FUNK THIS PLACE!!! This is a taco truck in a parking lot of a hair salon. They have tacos con pollo, bistek, asada, barbacoa, pastor, lingua, and many others...even tripa. Get the corn tortillas with cilantro, lettuce, and onions. Their red sauce is unbelievably hot and their green sauce is good too. And they're only $1.25 each. This is why I live in Texas. read more

Good taco truck. I think it's one of the better taco trucks near where I live. Ordered two tacos, one with chicken and another with buche, and a burrito with pastor. They were all made hot and fresh good, and made reasonably quickly. Good, but get the tacos, not the torta! I ordered the Torta de Buche con Chorizo. Unlike typical Tortas the bread was not a bolillo but something closer to a hamburger bun. For me that was a problem because the softer bread lacked both the satisfying crustiness of the bolillo and the strength to hold the sandwich together. (the whole thing fell apart 2/3 of the way through) Otherwise it was very good. The pig stomach was firm and well prepared and the chorizo added just enough extra fat and flavor. Best authentic street tacos I've ever had!!! We stumbled upon this place at 11pm on a Sunday night when we were craving GOOD tacos. You never know what you're going to get when you go to little places... but DANG y'all. The Barbacoa and Asada tacos are on point and so is the price! Best part? It's minutes away from my house. Came to Takos Chihuas truck, around 11 on 12/8/17 ordered from an older Hispanic lady maybe between the age of 35-50 with dark hair. I ordered a Torta with no meat just beans and all the filling that came with it. When I ordered I asked the lady if I can do that and she asked me to elaborate, I told her I wanted it with no meat. Her response in a very rude manner was "well what are you going to add in there if you don't get meat?" So once we clarified I wanted to sub the meat for beans she proceeds to ask me in the same rude manner if I wanted all the fillings still (lettuce, onions, cheese.. etc.) after I said yes, she continued to elaborate what all the fillings were, and I again told her yes and verified I wanted a Torta with beans instead of meat with all the other fillings..fast forward to10 minutes later, I get in my car check my torta to make sure it was correct, it was just beans, and the bun was pretty burned. So I went back up there to tell them and the lady at the window was very nice very understanding, but the older, bitter, woman who originally took my order argued that I told her all I wanted was the meat, and I had to argue back and tell her no we ordered it with beans no meat. She was extremely rude and don't recommend visiting a restaurant with service like that! All this was communicated is Spanish so there wasn't a language barrier and everything was explained. read more

As much as I purport to be an expert in all comestibles Mexican, this drive-through patio-dining-area joint threw me for a loop, free shoestring fries included. Their gorditas are perfectly golden-fried, a little masaey on the inside, with crisp tripitas or lengua. Their montados is the only flour-quesadilla I will confess to enjoying in the past decade. Their tapatios rancheros is a gooey, cremaey, queso-frescoey delight even if their flautas doradas (taquitos) are perhaps rolled once around too tight. The torta, like the montados, comes with bonus shoestring fries best topped with spritzes of lime and hotsauces (ketchup is for gabachos), but the main thing keeping this joint from a five star rating is the inconsistency of the toasting of the bun for their torta. Not being a bolillo aside, the inside was butter-crisp, but the outside disappointingly soft. The barbacoa serviceable. read more

Absolutely fantastic tacos! Asada is great. Chicken is flavorful and juicy. On our second visit I got the Asada and fajita tacos. The fajita is now my favorite the marinade they use makes them the best flavored tacos in DFW and I've tried so many!!! As a regular visitor to Mexico I am very picky about the beef in my tacos. So many places don't use good quality meat here in Texas. This place is my new go to from now on. My husband got the Asada burrito on our second visit and absolutely loved it, the beans are creamy and delicious and they are really big. I will drive from Burleson twice a week for this food.
