La Casa de Toño has a great variety of dishes. Lots of drinks and it's perfect for bigger groups. There's a line outside so make sure you get a number by the hostess. I had the pozole and it was incredibly tasty, it's served with tortillas and some lime to add to the soup.

STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF AND CHARGE YOU FOR THINGS YOU DID NOT ORDER/RECIEVE. We found this place on Yelp based on the reviewed and pictures of their food and boy did we regret coming here. We waited in line for nearly 30 min just to get a table and we saw that as a great sign. We were eager to eat and were so happy once we got seated. Inside, the waiters run around to serve and clean tables. Literally running, I have never seen that before. After ordering, it took about 15 min for our food to come out which was fast. The food was ok, we tried the red enchiladas and would rate those a 4 out of 10. We also two large pozole which I would rate a 7 out of 10, but when they brought out the bowls, they seemed rather small. However, we did not complain and assumed those were the large. 5 min later, a second waiter comes by and states he had a large pozole and that was considerably larger then our bowls. We informed the waiter we already got our food but that they are not as large as those and we ordered large and the waiter stated oh yes those are smalls. We told him it's fine, we will stick with the smalls since we already started eating them and if we could get charged for a small. He said sure and walked away. Once the bill came out we noticed we got charged for large still. We informed our original waiter who then argues with us that we got large pozoles. I was baffled, I told him to go ask his coworker who brought out the large soup the second time around and the waiter argued with me that I got two larges. They refused to lower the price. I was so angry that I just paid to get away from that situation. This place just isn't worth it at all and it's over hyped. If you are an American visiting CDMX, I highly recommend you stay away from this location as it seems they just want to quick buck off us. SHAMLESS.

Great place for posoles this place I'm definitely coming back to. I math ave ordered too much and with less than $20. Nothing like authentic horchata and quesadillas! Service was faster than expected. There are always lines, however this time was right before the rush. Location is good since there are plenty do to at the mall. Have been to fancier places but this establishment is homier than Sanborns. Only reason I don't give 5 stars is due to the multiple servers and not paying attention to our order. However the service is fast. Menu at the table and you got to right down what you want. So win win! No ordering the wrong food.

5 stars for their kickass pozole. This soup is my favorite Mexican dish and I was delighted. This location is opened 24/7 and it's within walking distance to all the bars. Plus, super friendly service.

Food was very good and a very authentic Mexican experience!! We tried several things that we hadn't had the chance to try at other places. The servers were walking around with platters of food, showing them to everyone at their tables and asking if they wanted to order anything off it! We thought this was a smart and great way to market the menu as it's more appetizing seeing the food displayed like that and customers are more prone to order things this way! Especially those who are not very familiar with Mexican food. The salsa dips were very spicy and exactly how we hoped they would be. Especially loved the habanero sauce!! At the end of the meal, the servers brought us some rice drink, pudding and flan and we ended up getting all of it! Overall we were satisfied and it was a good experience.

Loved this place, would highly recommend. We were on a layover in Mexico City and I Yelped I was extremely pleased. Food was tasty and authentic. The service is fast and friendly. We had the chicken pozole, frijolada, flautas yum

Simply the best!! I had a 4 hour layover in Mexico City, so we took an Über to Reforma and someone recommended this place. Little did I know that everyone on the street knew about this place. I highly recommend it if you are in the area. Clean, authentic, delicious and cheap!! What else can you ask for ???

This place is a GEM! Super clean restaurant, the best service (like everywhere in Mexico).. and the food is AMAZING!! Literally had to try like 8 things off of this menu lol.. I absolutely loved that you can order a la carte.. for example- literally ordered one enfrijolada, one green enchilada, 1 fried squash flower quesadilla, a small vegetable and chicken posole and the biggest was the sope... everything here was seriously delicious.. of course like any Mexican place you have your salsa line up, 3 different salsas, sour cream and yummy fried pork rinds and of course some chips and lime. Seems to be a chain restaurant around the city as there are other locations around. Want some delicious, authentic Mexican food in the city ? Go here! Oh! And enjoy a michelada Toño style with a modelo ;) - thank me later

I ordered the flautas de papa & the surtidas (one of each-chicken, beef & potato)

This place is located a couple of blocks away from the Main Street & around the bar areas... The food was amazingly good & fast.... It has two levels and is always busy, a good sign that it's a great place to eat... I was so amazed on how cheap the prices were.... Anyways, I highly recommend anyone to try it while visiting Mexico City!

    Small pozole. Tasty, meaty richness.

That said, I really appreciated how clearly those items were labeled--it set expectations upfront and made ordering easier given our schedule. The space itself is beautiful with an open, airy ambience that immediately sets the tone. We were started off with complimentary crispy tortillas served with both red and green salsas--a simple but very welcome touch. For food, my kids ordered the lime soup and the penne al chipotle, both of which they really enjoyed. My husband and I went for the tortas: he chose the Bacalao a la Veracruzana and I had the Cangrejo de Concha Suave. Both were delicious, with a unique twist on the classic flavors. My husband also had a cocktail that he loved. Overall, a solid experience with great food and atmosphere. This is definitely a place I'd return to when I can slow down and savor it properly.

The first time we came in shortly before closing but they were more than accommodating and sat us down right away. This is a fine dining experience and it is really cool to be able to watch the kitchen and chef at work from your table. I can highly recommend the Guac- love the little touch of pomegranate and the variety of chips to dip, the chicken lime soup was a hit with our 1.5 year old, the beet salad was delicious and the sea bass cooked to perfection. For mothers day I treated myself to a house margarita and it was delish. We also tried not one but two desserts this time, the chocolate cake with ice cream and the soursop jelly, both divine! I was excited having just learned about the soursop fruit, and how many nutritional benefits there are- make sure you give it a try if you're into pudding desserts. The next time we tried some of the same things and some new things- steak, roasted chicken, cauliflower with mole sauce (the mole sauce here was perfection) mushroom soup and the house lemonade. All fantastic, and the presentation is wonderful. We ended the evening with the hot chocolate cake which was the perfect balance of chocolate paired with ice cream- note that this dessert does take some time to prepare fresh. Planning to come back here if I am ever in the area again!

We then kicked things off with the arancini, which set the tone right away--crispy, flavorful, and perfectly done. For mains, we shared a spread and honestly couldn't pick a favorite: the Octopus Tacos were tender and packed with flavor, the Rabbit Tacos were unique and delicious, and the roasted seasonal vegetables "al mojo de ajo" were simple but so satisfying. The marinated pan-fried salmon and fresh trout were both beautifully cooked and thoughtfully seasoned. Every dish felt intentional, beautifully presented and well executed. But the real showstoppers were the desserts. The fresh goat cheesecake with orange, grapefruit, and lemon was bright and perfectly balanced, and the whisky chocolate crème brûlée was rich, smooth, and unforgettable.
