    Chips and salsa
    Sarah A.

The power was out. We wanted to have dinner and be affordable. This was our first time here. Plenty of parking. There is a seated restaurant side and a bar side with TVs and activities. There was a large party in the bar side but seating was available in the restaurant side. We all picked things from the a la cart menu. My daughter chose a cheese and onion enchilada smothered in red sauce. She enjoyed it. My son had two soft beef tacos. Not a scrap left on his plate. My husband ordered a crunchy beef taco and a beef tostada. He finished every bite. Me? I am a chili relleno girl. I had a crispy relleno smothered. Delish! The chips and salsa had a nice spice. Our waters were kept filled and the staff checked on us frequently. Our food came surprisingly fast considering the large party going on. We will be back.

    Skinny margarita

Unassuming little place in a strip mall, but definitely the best Mexican food I've found in the area. Friendly service and reasonable prices, too! We had the skinny margaritas, and turns out they'll make ANY margarita a skinny! A great option, especially considering the calorie-fest we ordered! If you like it that way, EVERYTHING comes covered in green chili sauce and cheese - mild, spicy, or half-and-half. I had the cheese enchilada (always my barometer for basic Mexican food) and the poblano relleno combo. Both excellent! Rice and beans are flavorful and they don't try to cover the plate with them to hide small portions; in fact, the relleno was huge! Thanks to the great staff for a great meal!

    Salted Caramel Cheesecake

Holy Cheese! We came in on a Wednesday night based on some reviews we saw and were craving authentic Mexican food. Well, I wouldn't call it authentic but the food was pretty good. I ordered a skinny margarita and I feel bad saying this, but it was horrible - I took one sip and couldn't get past how sour it was. My husband tried it too and said it was really bad. I hope they're not all like that & maybe would try something else next time. I didn't have the heart to tell our waiter I didn't like it so I drank my iced tea instead. We ordered the stuffed tater tots for an app. Those were pretty good, had a nice crunch stuffed with bacon and cheese and the ranch it came with was good too. Definitely not Mexican, but we enjoy a good tot. For entrees, I got the combo fajitas (Chick/Steak) and my husband got the combo dinner with steak burrito, enchilada, and tamale. I really enjoyed my fajitas but they did remind me of fajitas from any Tex/mex restaurant chain - tasty but nothing crazy. What I loved most about them though were the onions and peppers were cooked down really well and caramelized and the meat was nice & tender. They came out sizzling which you def want when getting fajitas. The stuff it came with was good and a really nice size portion. My husband enjoyed his meal too. It was SMOTHERED in cheese and probably closed a few arteries, but he loved the flavors. We boxed half because the portions were so generous (and ate it the next day which is a good sign because I don't often eat leftovers if the food is just ehh). Then we finished up with the salted cheesecake which had good flavor, but def didn't need the chocolate syrup on top which made it taste like a homemade sundae. In total, I'd give 3.5 stars - the ambiance feels like a diner where "everybody knows your name" and the food is good enough to come back for a quick meal, but when looking for more of an authentic Mexican experience I'd recommend going somewhere else.

Hidden treasure in this strip center! Come on in!

Good food at a reasonable price! The strip mall location is not something you would look at and say "Let's eat here." So don't judge the book by its cover! Come on in to experience "VALUE" for your dining dollars. The lunch special menu is perfect to get full and spend under $10.00 The service starts out with fresh chips and salsa. The smothered beef or chicken burrito with beans and rice is only $6.50 and really fills you up! See the photos! The poblano rellenos is crispy and a great value at $6.75. There are salads and hamburgers starting at $7.50 so try this place out in Broomfield, Colorado. They have "kids eat free" events, lots of pool tables and Texas Hold'em activities. Come investigate this hidden treasure in Broomfield and be part of the insider club!

Nice casual place with good Mexican food. Best queso we've had in quite a while. The bar area seemed pumping. Friendly staff. Not enough vegan or vegetarian options. Poblano overtaken by cheese (lost flavor), good rice and beans. Other dishes at our table were enjoyed more (tacos, enchiladas) Not a bad place!

Combo plate with taco, burrito, and enchilada with green sauce! supa spicy too

I use to like it. Who charges for a chip and salsa refill ? These clowns do. Wasn't the menu price increase covering that ?

My friend ordered an enchilada, and I ordered the carne asada. The place was half empty, so it was strange that our food took more than 30 minutes to arrive after we ordered. They had only a few servers working, and the fact that we only saw our waiter run by once or twice in that 30-minute wait for our food was not helpful. As time passed, I looked for wait staff to ask about my food, but I couldn't find any as none passed our way. The food was dropped at the table, and I got the impression that they were kitchen staff who dropped the plates and quickly ran off. My first impression of the food was shock, thinking, "They charge $25 for that tiny plate? You gotta be kidding me." The presentation was okay, but as you can see from the pic, the overpriced meal only covered a tiny portion of the undersized plate. It left a lot to be desired. Since our waiter was nowhere in sight, I had to go up to the bar to ask for salt. With my first bite, I found the potatoes cold, possibly because my food had been sitting around for quite some time. Sadly, after cutting into my supposed-to-be-medium-and-pink carne asada, it was cooked dry to shoe leather and inedible. It was disgusting. I grabbed a passing waiter and asked him to send my waiter over. He offered to help me, so I explained to him that this was disgusting and not what I ordered. He did offer to make me a new one, but after waiting 30+ minutes for my food and being served this, I lost my appetite. Yes, they took it off the bill, but still charged $3 for a Coke. Real classy. I enjoy fine dining and excellent cuisine, but to call this fine dining would be an insult to fine dining. Do better, Teocalli

We started off with queso fundido and two Aguas Frescas, the Jamaica and the Horchata. The drinks were delicious and refreshing and the queso fundido had a good flavor and was gigantic in fact, we ate almost the whole thing, and because we ate almost the whole thing we were already full by the time the rest of our food came out, but don't worry, dear reader we persevered. I got the steak fajitas and the meat was really yummy. The tortillas were perfect and their pico added just the right amount of spice. note for somebody who gets a lot of fajitas. There was no guacamole, sour cream or cheese. Just rice beans and pico, but I was happy. My table partner got Birria Xalisco. And said that the meet and consome was delicious and the blue masa cake might've been the best part. Wheelchair accessibility: there are several different seating options both inside and outside that work for a wheelchair user. The path of travel inside the restaurant is a little bit tight, and the path of travel back to the bathrooms is pretty tight and somebody with a larger chair might not be able to make it through. The bathroom door is super super heavy to where we had to have somebody else open it.
