Very good food. We had California burrito with steak and fajitas. Frozen margaritas were tasty. The service was ok. Our waiter was very nice but he kept walking away while we were asking him something, for example I was in the middle of the word "plate" and he just turned away and left without saying anything. The manager (?) came over and explained that he would bring plates he just couldn't bring it all at once, even though that had nothing to do with what was happening. I tried to explain that each time one of us asked him a question he would walk away in mid sentence, but she kind of walked away before I could finish. She must have trained him. This is hands down the worst Mexican restaurant i have ever been to. First off, my part of 11 walked in and was greeted by the owner. He told us he could not support 11 people at 1 table. I requested we split into 2 groups and sit at 2 separate table. At this point the owner told us he did not have 2 tables and refused our business... We walked out and while deciding where we were going to eat he came back out and invited us in. Once we got inside, to our surprise there were plenty of table for us to sit at. Semi-good service depending on what time of day you go in. I am never going back due to our last experience. The server refused to give us any more salsa and chips because "they were out", they didn't write down my daughters order and blamed it on us, their prices were outrageous and when I questioned the bill they wouldn't let me look at the menu to compare prices, everyone in there was rude! They have layers of dust on the ceiling that is always there when we went. We only kept going back to celebrate mine and my husbands anniversary once a year because it is where we had our first date. I am not a fan of this place. Our waitor was non existent the entire time, and I felt he was pretty uninterested and borderline rude. (Example: after looking at our menus for 15 minutes because he was nowhere insight, he came to the table with his notepad and just stood there. Looking at us. There was no, "Hi. Ready to order?") It was awkward. We got our food, and it was clear my nachos had been under a heat lamp for awhile, as the beans and toppings on top were hard. I did not enjoy my food. The nachos were soggy and the entire plate was dripping with grease. We asked for more chips twice, and each time he brought back maybe 10 tortilla chips in a bowl. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. There's a Millstone Bbq across the street that's much better. read more

I ordered a Margarita for $9.00 and received a glass full of ice cubes. The ice cubes were tasty but since there was little actual Margarita I can't say whether it was good or not. Ok, well we were hungry so we ordered the Nachos Grande. The only thing grand about these nachos was that they weren't seasoned with cat food. Although most cat foods smell and probably taste better. Surprised to see the low ratings and poor reviews here! I liked this place. Lovely mole sauce. Ate there 2 nights. Had the vegetarian quesadilla and the next night a beef enchilada. Other members of our party were also very pleased with their dinner. Only fault - too much artificial decor. Bathroom being remodeled but sure to look very nice when finished and the dispensers are in place. On this Ohio trip noticed help wanted signs at several eateries. Where else are you gonna go when you're in Hocking Hills? The atmosphere was great, lots of wide open space, the standard colors everywhere and a nice looking fully-stocked bar. Great expectations oozed. We were swarmed by several waitresses that offered to get us drinks. There were so many that none of them knew if anyone else had helped us. I guess that my family was spoiled living in the west, but we have not found exceptional Mexican food since moving to the Midwest. It is all overpriced and bland Americanized Mex that is the same thing with different names. That said, La Cascada ranked amongst the lowest we have had in the 4 years living here. It should have been excellent (even if it wasn't); we were on vacation, tired and starving. Two things got it two stars. Price and food quality. It was overpriced: I ordered the largest platter on the menu. Wife ordered a burrito. Kid got standard quesadilla. We all had sodas. We were celebrating conquering all of the major hikes in a single day. Bill was nearly $50 with tip... You guys know this is Mexican food, right? The bill would have been under $30 in the West, and $40, where there is competition, anywhere else. We wouldn't have blinked at the bill if the food was good. Kid's quesadilla was greasy. Wif'e's big burrito looked good but she said it was "not that good. Just filled with chicken and beans". My hungry-man platter was several things all covered with the same, I believe, red enchilada sauce. But none of them were enchiladas...the platter consisted of a tasteless chile relleno (covered with the red mystery sauce) and the following things ,all filled with refried beans and swimming in the sauce: a corn tortilla, two flour tortillas, a taco shell. The hard taco was the best thing on the nearly 2-square-foot plate. One of the items on my platter (the only one that had a generous portion of chicken breast) was so salty that I had my wife taste it- as a practical joke. I wanted to love this place. I wanted to find simple smothered chile verde burritos. I wanted mole poblano that had simmered quietly all day waiting for my arrival. I wanted warm, house-made tortilla chips with generous amounts of mild sea salt on them. A bowl of chile colorado with several steamed house-made tortillas wrapped in foil on the side. Simple, real, Mexican food. None of this happened. I hope our visit was a fluke. Vyiikktoririjiah in a previous review mentioned that there was a new Taco Bell. It breaks my heart that I have to say that I would have gotten more flavor and value had my family gone there instead. read more

It took over 10 minutes for a waiter to come to take the order for said drinks, and she did no even ask if we wanted appetizers/extra dips for our chips, we had to specifically ask for them. Perhaps the worst sin of all was that both the men's and women's restrooms were completely disgusting. Smelled like sewage and had standing water in front of the urinals. For where it is, La Cascada is decent Mexican. Not great, but good. The food portions were huge, and the prices were good. I really enjoyed the Margaritas. A couple of things were less than ideal. I found most of the food to be a little salty. And after we were done eating, it took forever to pay our check. The waitress dropped it off, but we didn't know we were supposed to pay up front. So we waited probably 20 minutes for someone to come back and pick it up, and when we tracked someone down, they told us about the register up front. We were there late at night, which I'm sure didn't help. But all in all, a good meal, decent prices, mostly good service. If I were in Logan, I would not hesitate to go back! 4 stars! read more

This was better than I expected. I was staying at the holiday inn and was tired of driving all day. I ordered a carry out of shredded chicken enchiladas with the red sauce. They then decided to order macaroni which had plastic(from the microwaveable cup I presume) in the macaroni. Drinks that were order were not all correct. I asked for simply a water and ended up with Sprite. Member of my group ordered Pepsi and received Mountain Dew. Not a good experience at all, especially for how much we spent. We have eaten at both Mexican restaurants in Logan and this place BY FAR is better! Authentic, fresh and great service. We are vegetarians and they fed us beautifully! This place was horrible. The sad part is the only thing that tasted ok was the rice and the kids corn dogs. Our food took about 45 minutes and there was only a couple other tables of people. The waitress never came and refilled drinks or checked on us. The kids meals came out about 5 mins after all our meals. The guac is a joke DON'T order it. I use to love this Mexican restaurant. Tried this place the first time on my 20th birthday. I hade the two tacos rice and beans. The best ever. The times I've been there after that wasn't that good.
