I really enjoyed my dinner here on Cinco de Mayo. Beer menu is good, but limited with some good options from Mexico. Dinner was awesome. The Molcajete was beyond amazing. Ambiance was great on the patio and my waitress was great and on top of everything.

Maria's is a classic spot in Lancaster. We had a large group and they accommodated and were very prompt. The fajita quesadilla is AMAZING with queso on top. Highly recommend this item. Salsa and queso were perfect with warm chips. Overall, a great experience compared to previous reviews.

This place gets worse each time. I am officially done! The chimichangas were smaller than a frozen cheap bean burrito and the taste lacked ANY flavor. It was literally boiled chicken with absolutely NO seasoning wrapped in a tortilla and covered with hot milk that was supposed to be cheese. Save your money and go to Taco Bell at least the dog food they serve you has flavor and fills you up

Muy bien. In other words Damm! Yep it was perfect. I mola sauce hit the parlay. Chicken Mola #56 was so tasty I didn't come up for air. It seemed to get better with each bite. It was so good I didn't want to swallow it. The rice was moist with flavor. The only problem is they don't give you enough rice and beans. I could shovel that in my mouth all day. The shrimp Santa Anna was good as well. If you like butter shrimp you will like it. . the decor was on point also. Service was fast and they didn't bug you while eating. The seats are a little low and I can tell people from the area code for the cocktails. Each table was loaded with them. If I'm back in this town I will definitely stop in.

The reviews on Yelp are not as great as google reviews for some reason. This was my second time here but I don't really remember the first. Busy place on a Friday night, so we put our name in for a little bit of a wait. While we were waiting tho we were able to sit near the bar in the hallway and order drinks which was very nice. I got a regular margarita on the rocks. Decently strong and a good size! The menu is lengthy and it was hard to decide. I went with the shrimp fajitas. They did forget to bring out the tortillas which was a bit surprising, so I had to ask for them. The shrimp were a good flavor, but about half of them were not deveined. I don't think it's a problem to eat that, it's just kinda of gross to think about so I used the fork to devein most of them. Otherwise everything was pretty tasty! We were here for a birthday and they also brought out a huge sombrero for them to wear and sang happy birthday in Spanish with some fun noisemakers!

My fiancé & I tried this place for the first time Sunday night. Overall, it was just okay. First, the service was a little slow. Our server was friendly & attentive, but we had to ask for items that usually should have been brought regularly. The food was just okay... the portions were very big, but taste was for the most part so-so. I had the steak fajita, & she had a 3 piece combo. Ambiance was just so-so, too. The white folding chairs kinda seemed to cheapen the look. I understand it was supposed to be better a while ago, but i honestly don't think I'll be back. There's plenty of other Mexican restaurants that are just better than this.

When our plans were squashed for the day we stopped in here to day drink. Absolutely beautiful building in need of a lot of love. Still you can see how gorgeous it once was. I would recommend a stop just to see the architecture. I got a Jumbo Margarita because, well...why not. Service was fast and attentive. Cozy atmosphere Chips and salsa were the standard fare. The place used to be an old lodge and they still put on theatrical performances in the ballroom.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while so when I was in town, I thought I would finally give it a go. The outside always looked really cool with it being inside an old stone building. So I walk in and am seated almost immediately at a nice table on the second level patio. Server came quick, and was pleasant. But....after that it went downhill. To begin, the water I had, had something yellow floating in the bottom. Which is always unpleasant and is a start to ruining an appetite. Then the salsa I had was frozen. After pouring half of it into my bowl, the bottom was an ice chunk. Which is another gross out factor. If you're going to serve frozen salsa, at least make sure that it's thawed out. After that, once I got my food, I realized that I never received silverware. This is totally fine, and happens but when I got my fork, one prong was so bent, it wasn't even possible to eat with it without cutting open my lip and angling my face in super weird positions just to get a bite. Add to that, the person sitting near me who appeared to be awkwardly hitting on the college-aged greeter and was burping throughout my meal, and you have yourself a pretty disappointing dinner. Drive the extra fifteen and grab some better food in Lithopolis.

Best salsa I've ever had! Mild with the perfect amount of cilantro. We went for lunch & were seated & waited on promptly. There was a good lunch crowd, lively atmosphere.

This was an amazing find! The margarita was great, cold, nicely rimmed in salt. The chips were fresh and the salsa served seemed fresh, very good. The meal was served hot. Mexican rice was good without being overdone. We each had different beans. The charro beans we spicy and very good The refried beans were really great, full of flavor The one thing that really made the meal was the beef tacos! Well seasoned ground beef, the shells were homemade or at least tasted like it. I highly recommend this place! Groups of six or less seated together, otherwise split into tables. Sanitized between customers, hand sanitizer available, those handling food in gloves, everyone unless seated wearing masks.

Very good Mexican cuisine. Will certainly be back! I could smell the wonderful flavors of Tex-Mex the second I stepped inside.

Took over an hour to get our food. Table of 12 people. When we finally were served, most of the items appeared to be just thrown together.

So we started looking around and my wife found this place. So we traveled to Lancaster Ohio on a rainy Wednesday night. We walked in and was surprised by the ambience. It was quirky, but charming. The staff was attentive and intentional. The chips tasted like they just came out of the fryer. The queso dip was great. We ordered our entrées with a half hearted Hope of expectations of days long gone. When the entrées arrived, we just could not be more impressed with the presentation. And then the food and we all sampled each other's. The taco meat inside the burrito was flavorful like it had been cooked on purpose. The monstrosity of a fajita that I got the chicken was kind of like a Hispanic version of chicken Parmesan. The steak, well prepared and the shrimp was incredibly plump and juicy. All the mixtures gathered at the bottom of the basin bowl just waiting to be dipped like a fountain of youth, the basin of expectation and it was to my utter taste buds delight.

We were out for Black Friday and that hankering for queso snuck up. The queso was very good and additive. I ordered the chimi with birria and my aunt had the tamale and chile rellano. My aunt commented that the margarita she ordered which came in a beautiful tall porcelain-looking cup and chile rellano was some of the best, most flavorful she has tried. For me, the same can be said with the birria chimi. The meat was seasoned and succulent and had a rich depth of flavor that made it easy to keep going back for more. I made a comment she needed to bring her husband and I wanted to return some time in the future. The only negative I have to say is service was pretty slow and the place was not too busy otherwise the atmosphere and the decor really set the vibe and tone and El Parian set a high bar

It's not a big place and kind of hidden. it's worth finding it. There are other mexican restaurants with bigger venues or more entertaining servers. This is a place you just go for authentic food. It is Somewhat Hard to Give this Restaurant 3-Stars, but the Food Quality was Somewhat Inconsistent. I ordered the Carne Asada and my Wife Ordered the Shrimp Fajitas + and Extra Side of Spanish Rice. . We will start with her dish. She really liked the Shtimp Fajitas, and both Shrimp and Veggies were Fresh. The Spanish Rice was just a bonus to feed her Endless Appetite for Rice of Any Kind. Still, she puts the dish at a 4. I attribute that to her unfamiliarness with Tex-Mex...or even Mexicali food, other than more Modern Mexican-American tastes. . On the Other Hand, My Carne Asada was not just lackluster, but lacking Quality when it comes to the Beef. It featured approximately 4 ounces of Strip Steak - a decent serving of refried beans with the smallest drizzle of sour cream. . On great note, however, were the Avocados. The Slices were thick and xomplete; the fruit tasted as if it was straight off the tree. This, unfortunately, was where the quality ended. Im not saying bad by any stretch of the imagination - but I would stop at Del ataco...and most certainly Chipotle or any other good M3xican restaurant between Whitehall and apataskala before stopping here again. . Very Average Food, even at $37!39 for two Entrees, some shrimp protein, and two soft drinks. . This place; however, has so much potential -- maybe Im being overly judgmentao...but I doubt it.
