The pluses are it is an easy on and off I40. Free Parking. They are partnering with a taco truck in their parking lot. You can get other tacos not on the menu. I really liked the salsa it was not hot but I felt it had good flavor. We all like our entrees and we liked the beans. Cons we didnt like the rice it was bland and verging on cold. So despite the reviews my wife and I decided to give this place a shot. Well the food had absolutely no flavor. Im almost positive the rice was microwave bag rice. Again no flavor. The beans were bland. My wife's enchiladas had Colby jack cheese. When I asked what drinks were available I was told pepsi products. I said ok but what products. Decided on root beer... nope it was flat. We paid 37 bucks for the experience. As both our plates were almost un touched. I would recommend steering clear of this place. We were driving through AZ and wanted a good Mexican restaurant. I have experienced the service, in this area, of Arizona, before, but it has been years. It is pretty indifferent, still. The service was OK. The food was pretty good. It was lunch and we were on a drive, to NM, so the lack of alcohol was not a big deal, but no beer, with Mexican is not a big plus. Basically, I was surprised at the high Yelp rating, but not much else is around, so maybe that is why. I had the green chili pork burritos enchilada style. While in Williams we wanted to try some Mexican food and it seemed like the other 2 options got really bad reviews so decided to go here. When driving up it literally looks like a house. When we got in it was a nice small restaurant and were were advised to pick any seat . We looked over the menu and I was really shocked to see they didn't offer carne Asada for any menu item. So upon ordering we got a chicken Taco salad , chicken burritos with beans and rice & enchilada / Chile rellano , one good plus here is they bring you chips and salsa and refilled our baskets a couple times as well as the salsa which was really good. Overall the food was really good and they were good portions as well. Only thing I noticed here is there was 1 waitress doing everything , waiting tables , cashiering, and serving so definitely could've used more help especially in a Saturday evening around dinner time. So yes it was slow but not to any fault of the waitress just a bummer to have to wait so long for more water or salsa. I would say if you want Mexican food in Williams this would be a good choice overall considering the other options. read more

If you are missing Rosa's Cantina that used to be in Williams take heart! It has been resurrected by some dedicated former employees, and chef, as La Casita. Don't let the plain house exterior fool you. Inside it is very nicely appointed, the owner is there greeting and taking orders and the food is fantastic! It is 2 blocks off I-40 on Grand Cyn on the left. Give it a try - you will leave full and satisfied. Pricing very affordable and the food is fresh. Great Chile Relleno and shredded beef enchilada. We met two friends for dinner last night. Audrey was our waitress. She did a marvelous job of taking care of us. Food was spot on for everyone. We were able to sit there for awhile a nd visit. Had 3 pork tacos and they were delicious! Also had a cheese crisp and with the salsa and chips they give you it was the best pork tacos in town! My girlfriend had beef tacos and a tamale, usually she always orders a tamale at every mexican restaurant amd never finishes it, usually there dry or the chilly taste bad. Not this time! As we walk in the server sent us to a booth that was not sufficient to hold our party. Then when we asked for two booths she rudely agreed. After the cold greeting we quietly gathered the party and left the restaurant. It's a shame because this could have been the best food in town but the customer service was unbelievably rude and to top it off the restaurant was completely empty. My family visited La Casita in hopes of having some simple yet authentic Mexican food during our stay in Williams. La Casita is a small restaurant, well off the busy Route 66 tourist strip downtown. The decor is intimate, but not overly fancy, and the menu is focused on a few straightforward Mexican classics. But on an early summer Saturday when just about every restaurant in town was packed, La Casita was nearly empty. I hope the restaurant can do what it needs to thrive in Williams, because it's clear that the owners' intentions of authenticity are good, but not quite fulfilled. My family tried a bunch of different items, and I got to taste nearly all of them. Some items showed the attention to flavor that we've all come to expect from sit-down Mexican dining. My chile verde burrito was tasty, with lots of tomatillo, green chile and tender, marinated pork. My son's ground beef tacos were simple but nice. We had sopapillas for dessert that reminded me of ones I've enjoyed at other restaurants. But overall, most of what we ordered was just too bland. The shredded chicken taco and shredded beef picaro (taquito), unlike my chile verde, tasted of just plain meat. The enchilada sauce had no real kick to it, which meant my cheese enchilada tasted only of melted mild cheddar and raw tortilla. The cooks at La Casita know what they are doing, they just need to spend some time developing marinades and sauces that add flavor to what they've got. There is absolutely an opening for this kind of restaurant in Williams. The staff were friendly and well-intentioned. While we ate, a few locals come by for quick bites. It seemed like the owners were trying to create a contrast with the high-volume, bland Mexican places on the Route 66 strip. But overall, La Casita will need to put some work into their standards to attract diners. I wish them luck! read more

The nachos we got did not have melted cheese, it was shredded cheese that was thrown into the microwave.. Red chili pork burrito was very mild. It had some great and so so food. Warm chips would have been a nice touch, but they did keep them coming. Salsa was mild but had a pretty good flavor.
