Swing seating at end of bar. FANTASTIC AND UNIQUE!!!

Phenomenal food! Great friendly service on Cinco de Mayo. Busy and well worth any wait!!!. Beautiful artwork and atmosphere, very welcoming! Wonderful staff and owner. Well done! If I'm ever visiting from the west coast, I will be back. First time to Vermont, and glad my party found this place! Cheers, Salud!

Service was very bad - waiter seemed to forget about us several times. We waited over an hour to get our food and didn't receive any drink refills even after asking. Food was okay but nothing to write home about. One table next to us (who sat down after us) got their food, ate, paid and left before we even got our food. Overall pretty lame experience.

I'm not sure how you couldn't give this place five stars. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and the vibe/ decor is unique and simply fun. The chips and salsa - I could have eaten the salsa with a large slurpy straw... yum! The fajitas, HUGE portions that are so fresh and tasty. My husband had the enchilada and raved about it. Great place, amazing staff and two thumbs up!

First time coming here and it was for a bachelorette so we had a reservation. Staff and owner were very friendly they made sure we had plenty of room and were comfortable. You get complimentary chips and salsa to start. One of the specials was Mexican street corn which I love and had to try. I'm glad I did because it was delicious! The seasoning and corn was all made just right! For my entrée I got the pork carnita street taco platter. Everything was good, pork was flavorful and tender. Black beans and rice hit the spot! Everyone in the party enjoyed their food. From fajitas, to quesadillas, to taco salads, no one had any complaints. The portions were a good size and the price was right. Someone was vegetarian and the refried beans are vegetarian so they were happy about that. I got a virgen piña colada which was yummy. And to finish the meal we tried the fried chimichanga cheesecake which was excellent. It's a cute place, nice bar area and they even have some swing chairs. If I'm in the area again I would definitely come here and highly recommend to anyone else!

Nice addition to Wilmington dining! Tacos were freshly made and delicious. Many beers and tequilas to choose from with options to create a unique mixed drink too. Friendly service and decor was super fun. Swings to sit in at the bar... nice touch.

Solid Mexican food with good portions- a good option in this small ski town! We called and ordered takeout on a Sunday night. As a heads up, we called at 6:30 and then they told us they only take takeout orders at certain times so we had to call back at 7:30. A little odd, but no biggie. We called back and they let us know the food would be ready in about 30 minutes. As always, be sure to check your order before you drive away because unfortunately we realized a couple of things were wrong when we got home -- the sweet plantains were missing and the mahi mahi tacos were fried instead of grilled. Everyone was happy with what they ordered. -tacos platters were tasty and hefty portions. 3 tacos came with beans and salad -the burrito was big and filling as well -the veggie quesadilla was tasty- a lot of cheesy and just some pepper and onions inside. Comes with a tiny scoop of salad and sour cream Overall, tasty food and a good option in town!

Worst Mexican food ever. Worst margaritas. Don't waste your money. Service by 2 young women with no clue how to provide adequate service

If you told me I'd find some of the best seafood of my life in landlocked Southern Vermont, I…read moreprobably wouldn't have believed you--but Anchor Seafood House & Grille is the real deal. This place has been a Wilmington staple since 1997, and you can tell they've spent the last nearly 30 years perfecting the craft. The atmosphere is incredible. While the original 1850s building was lost to a fire in 2010, the current space is a beautiful, faithful replica that feels historic and cozy. It's the perfect spot for a post-ski dinner or a summer night out. Here's the breakdown of what you need to order: The Chowder: This is proper New England clam chowder. It's thick, rich, and loaded with clams--not just a bowl of potatoes and heavy cream. It's the ultimate comfort food. Steamers: You have to start with the steamers. They are clean, sweet, and served the traditional way with a side of broth and drawn butter. It's a messy, delicious classic that they do perfectly here. Whole Belly Clams: These are the gold standard. They're lightly breaded, perfectly fried, and have that sweet, briny pop you usually only find at a roadside shack on the Maine coast. If you're a fan of "the bellies," don't skip these. The Lobster: I went for the steamed lobster, and it was impeccable. Succulent chunks of fresh meat and just the right amount of butter. It tasted like it was caught that morning. It's rare to find a spot that balances a "fancy night out" feel with such unpretentious, high-quality food. Whether you're a local or just passing through for the foliage, make sure you stop here.

We enjoyed a date night and birthday dinner at Alpenglow Bistro. This spot was highly recommended…read morefor their fondue for two, which completely exceeded our expectations. The cheese fondue was substantial, served with bread, apples, cornichons, cocktail onions, chunks of ham, two different kinds of sausages and assorted potatoes, all gorgeously presented on wooden slab. The French onion soup, which we shared as an appetizer was also delicious. Great wine and my fiancé sampled the Vermonter cocktail, a potent concoction of bourbon, sweet vermouth and angostura bitters. Very strong and flavorful! We finished the evening with a slice of apple strudel, complete with a sparkler candle for my belated birthday. Great presentation! The decor and atmosphere here is stunning with fur throws over the seat backs, roses, candlelight and Alpine themes like antler wall sconces. Bathrooms were very clean and decorated with cute retro skiing photos. After we praised the fondue as exceptional, our server offered to bring out the owner so we could meet her. Our whole experience here was very strong until the end of our meal when then service slowed down, which the server explained was due to a large party upstairs, so it took awhile for us to get our dessert. Not a huge deal. While the owner was great to chat with, she then asked if we wanted to enjoy our dessert at the bar so they could seat a larger party using our table and the one next to us (awkward, especially after spending over $200 on dinner, no thanks). Also, we did not appreciate the 2.5 "operational fee" added to our check! Were it not for these last two points, this would have been a five star review because the atmosphere, food and drinks were great!

Amazing atmosphere and food. Quaint little restaurant with elevated German food. It is very pricey…read moreso prepared to spend some $$ here. We were greeted warmly by the hostess and seated right away. They don't have a kid's menu, but they have plenty of kid friendly food to choose from. I love how the dinning area has stone wall and chairs with white fur on them. Great romanic place for dates or special occasions. There were 5 of us and we ordered the pork schnitzel which was perfectly pan fried and seasoned ($36). The ham and cheese crepe was $22, small but very good... I was still left hungry so we also ordered the beet spatzel ($18), it came in a bowl with goat cheese , so good. The chicken entree(forgot the name) was big enough to share by my kids. It was cooked with skin on, which I prefer, crispy skin and tender meat, sooooo good. It was supposed to come with parsnip puree but they were nice enough to sub it with mashed potatoes for my kids. It was devoured! We also shared 2 deserts: apple strudel and bread pudding. They were good, but not the best we've had... For $16 each, maybe this can be skipped. But overall, great meal! Oh forgot to mention they have an apple schnapps shot for $5 that comes in a little Dasboot shot glass. So yummy!! A must try!
