Love, love, love! Hardest working woman around. Delicious food and very sweet!! Had a great time getting to know her and her son.

    Arepa

So excited to try their food. We love arepas and these are perfect! Crispy outside, creamy inside with a smoky Chipotle sauce. Completely craveable! We tried the cachapa, also very good. We will be repeat customers

Empanadas of Cheese, chicken, and shredded beef! They were to die for!!! These empanadas were delicious The sauces were amazing too!

Wowww !!!! What can I say but truly amazing authentic cuisine. La Chama was very welcoming and polite from the moment we got there. Her recommendations were even more on point with her empanadas being a delicacy sent from heaven. The arepa and cachapa were also to die for!! There is so much flavor, the textures are amazing, what can I say. This is truly a place that will leave your tummy happy and you with a big smile on your face. We can't wait to have her food again! Definitely returning customers!!

Absolutely awful. Had egg shells in my food, and waited 1 hour for a super small sandwich. Prices didn't help at all either.

The Mac and cheese is some of the best Mac and cheese I've ever had. The rice and beans are delicious along with the plantains. The Cole slaw is also the best Cole slaw in the area. We love having this place walking distance to us. It's a perfect lunch or dinner spot.

I went to their soft opening and they ran out of chicken and never came back until now 2/2025. They…read morewere apologetic and gave me a free meal on next visit, but I never used it because I lost the piece of note she (the owner) provided. This visit, the moment I walked to the counter I was greeted with a smile, and I remember her from my first visit. I ordered the 1/2 chicken because it was only $3 more than a 1/4 chicken with 2 sides. You get both white and dark meat and I order fried Yucca and black beans & rice. The chicken has so much flavor from the charcoal. The Yucca was perfectly fried fresh, and the black beans and rice were satisfying. It is a little pricey about $27 with fountain drink and a 15% tip (in my opinion they should not ask with their point of sale system when it is not a full service restaurant). This is the reason why they got a 3 star instead of 4 stars. This reminds me of Peruvian style rotisserie chicken that I use to eat when I lived in Washington DC area. Here, they are branded as Latin American Charcoal Chicken. This not a full service restaurant. You order at the counter and pick up at the order at the other end. They have a small but adequate dining room. I wonder how they are during a lunch and dinner rush. I will soon see.

Decided to get some late night tacos (8pm), we've been to a few other taco spots here in Destin and…read moredecided to try this place out. Big mistake. First of all the spot is kinda hidden from all the main streets which are usually the best tacos spots, the little "hole in the wall" spots, but it wasn't. I was planning to send my wife and her friends for the tacos while the boys stay playing cards, we ended up going and it's a good thing we did. As soon as we get there there is a few men standing outside like 4 and they are drinking it up. I jumped out the truck and they straight up stared at me. Not a good sign off a female was by herself. Ok so I went inside and right off the bat another 6 men playing pool and drinking heavy. Hmmm.. nobody manning the taco shop on the inside and only one employee in the cash register with a line of a few people getting chips and house supplies. So then I thought what in the world kind of establishment is this??! So the lady said that there was no one to man the taco shop so I said why does it say open on google. I just left and I don't recommend going at night or let alone go by yourself or as a woman.

Gringos are not the typical client but doesn't bother me, I enjoy being a bit confused and enjoying some authentic food, this is not a typical Mexican restaurant, more of a basic food truck menu, simple, quick and tasty. I tried the carnitas tacos and my wife had a strak quesadilla, bottle of water and a canned lemonade drink. I loved the food and vibe, my wife not so much but we left with full stomachs and a light bill. Have fun and try this out, real community feel, no frills but authentic high quality chow. Recommend and I will return!
