    Tequenos de Lomo
    Chris C.

The beef stew was perfectly cooked, soft potatoes and veggies, great flavors and really comfort food for a long day. The tequenos were absolutely delicious and the beans were great. Happy I tried this on a rainy day where I was feeling blah as something hearty and filling.

My first time visiting and I was immediately greeted upon entry. I was told about the lunch special and decided to go with that. I got pork belly and fried rice. The pork was delicious but mostly fat. I was not a huge fan of the rice but the creamy sauce made up for it. Huge portions. I definitely plan on visiting again. Check them out Yelpers.

Don Cha never disappoints. Their dishes are amazingly delicious and their menu has a large variety of great options. My favorite drink is pisco sour and Lucuma. I recommend sharing a couple of main dishes and an appetizer, it's plenty of food for two people if you are hungry. Their causa encevichada is very tasty and lomo saltado will always be one of my favorite ones. Service is fast and they are always super friendly and nice. Their location is big, has plenty of tables. Great place for a birthday dinner.

Great food and great service! Pepe was our server and he was really good. The fried plantains were the best I've had in years. If you've never had Peruvian, Their menu has pictures and great descriptions and the servers are friendly and knowledgeable. A must try in FWB!

Don Cha is hands down my favorite restaurant in FWB! The lomo saltado is the best around, and the service is always excellent. Pepe is such a great addition to the team -- super friendly and attentive. Highly recommend if you're looking for amazing food at a great price!

We have been wanting to try this place the past few years. We finally made it here. My husband was told by someone he met who told him to try the chicken but he didn't. I like pork and there was plenty on the menu. We are fairly new to this food as we have only been to a Peruvian Restaurant a couple of times over the years. We started with an appetizer of fried yuca which came with a creamy yellow sauce. They were good, almost reminded me of large thick French fries with the dipping sauce. I had a thick passion juice drink that was tasty and filling. I had a pork sandwich with sweet potatoes. (Pan con Chicharròn Pork, fried sweet potatoes and seasoned red onion) It was served on a solid square bun and tasty. My husband had a Tacu Tacu Con Lomo Montado Refried beans and rice mixed together with sauteed steak, red onions, tomatoes and egg but his was with pork, which was tasty. I tasted the rice and beans mixture and loved it. The meat was also tender and delicious. I was trying to find it on the menu to give a better description but couldn't find it with pork. It is possible we had ordered a special that isn't shown on the online menu. The description above is for the beef-just swap out with pork. Servers and cashier were very friendly and welcoming. Decor was interesting. We had stopped in for lunch and the clientele at the time was military personnel. I would love to stop back again to try more but our stay here is short and hard to hit all our faves. If we don't hit this place this year we will make it next year.

This visit, the moment I walked to the counter I was greeted with a smile, and I remember her from my first visit. I ordered the 1/2 chicken because it was only $3 more than a 1/4 chicken with 2 sides. You get both white and dark meat and I order fried Yucca and black beans & rice. The chicken has so much flavor from the charcoal. The Yucca was perfectly fried fresh, and the black beans and rice were satisfying. It is a little pricey about $27 with fountain drink and a 15% tip (in my opinion they should not ask with their point of sale system when it is not a full service restaurant). This is the reason why they got a 3 star instead of 4 stars. This reminds me of Peruvian style rotisserie chicken that I use to eat when I lived in Washington DC area. Here, they are branded as Latin American Charcoal Chicken. This not a full service restaurant. You order at the counter and pick up at the order at the other end. They have a small but adequate dining room. I wonder how they are during a lunch and dinner rush. I will soon see.

She scanned the code and the two items she wanted, the Jumping Lomo tacos and an order of the pork belly were not available on the scan of the QR code. When she was finally able to get the attention of the young man working today (he was on his phone and paying no attention to the window), she said she couldn't find the items through the code. He responded, "what do you want?" She asked for the pork belly and had already opted for the Jumping Lomo via the QR code order and was reluctant to ask for it to be changed to the tacos due to his brusqueness. The food left a lot to be desired. The pork belly was flaccid, no satisfying crispy crunch at all. At $8.99 it was a very small order compared to what we can get at any Mexican or Chinese restaurant back home and a waste of dollars since it ended up in the trash eventually. The Jumping Lomo was okay. Rice was good and with the sauce was pretty yummy. But the chicken was fairly bland and had no seasoning and the pickled onions were over vinegary. Such a shame... It held such promise but didn't deliver.

After roaming into a number of fun shops, we realized we were feeling up to a snack and drinks, and we happened across LaCo. The service and the food and drinks were good, and there was a nice ambiance to the place, too. The four of us immediately were seated at a bar during happy hour in the early afternoon when there were only a few people there. In fact, other than two people just leaving when we arrived, we were the only ones at the bar until just before we left. We arrived on a weekday afternoon just as happy hour was starting. Happy Hour prices included $2 off select wines and their house margarita, $1 off bottled beer, and discounted priced appetizers. My wife and I shared an order of Salsa Roja which included charred tomato salsa served with house friend chips. One of our friends ordered some blackened chicken wings, and both of our friends ordered drinks. Everyone was happy with what we ordered. LaCo stands for Latin Coastal as it is considered "30A's Latin coastal kitchen" with Latin-inspired lunch and dinner dishes with a coastal twist. The restaurant is located between Rosemary Beach and Alys Beach in Seacrest Beach. They operate on "beach time" and do not take reservations. Their published hours are daily from 11 AM to 9 PM with limited yet special priced happy hour menu from 3-5 PM and a full menu during the other times of the day. You can see their menu, photos, and more information about their restaurant as well as order online and sign up for news and updates at https://laco30a.com. While we do not head to 30A that often, if we head back to Seacrest Beach, we'll certainly consider another visit to LaCo, perhaps when the full menu is available. We recommend this restaurant to others wanting a unique taste and a filling snack or meal!
