One of my favorite halal Mexican restaurants! Food is consistently good. I love their steak fajitas, birria tacos, and chicken tacos with mole sauce. Mole sauce is made to order and tastes amazing! Definitely recommend trying the chicken with mole sauce. The owners are always removing and friendly which is always appreciated.

I absolutely LOVE this place!! All of their dishes are so delicious and the birria tacos are my absolute favorite. Their tacos are so juicy, flavorful, and fresh! They are also halal which is amazing and I love coming here. The employees are super kind, quick, friendly, and humorous! The place is clean, limited seating options but their service is so quick, there is never a wait! Would definitely recommend!

A very unassuming place in a strip mall. Chips were very good but salsa seemed very thin and watery. Beverages including water came in cans / bottles. The presentation of all of our dishes was absolutely stunning! Two of us had steak enchiladas. I thought there was too much Verde sauce and it overwhelmed some very good steak. Rice and beans were surprisingly better than expected. One person had the steak tacos. She said they were about average. Would I go back? Maybe. Would it be my first choice for Mexican food? No.

I like the ambiance when you walk in and the music was chill. The food came out pretty fast after ordering. Staff was nice. I will be coming back, it was a good experience.

Best Halal Mexican food I have tried in years. The Birria tacos just melt in your mouth. The chicken flautas absolutely delicious, great portion size for price. My husband loves the steak burrito! *Zabiha Halal* I live in Downtown Chicago and drive to Rolling Meadows almost every weekend for this

You walk into a Mexican themed authentic vibe with latino music playing. The server greeted me at the door and sat me down right away. The owner came in to check in on me as well. The menu is filled with variations from tacos to burritos. I ordered two Birria tacos and one gyros taco with rice and beans. I also ordered the cafe con leche flan. I was happy to see my food come beautifully plated and appetizing. The rice and beans were authentic and were not over cooked. It had a slight seasoning but was good as a side dish. The Birria tacos were good, there was a nice cook on the tortilla, a good amount of beef and was not drenched in the consume. There was grilled cheese and onions and cilantro as well. All in all, it was a nice touch and taste was good. The meat was moist and well seasoned. The gyros taco was bomb; it had a mix of thin sliced gyros, avocado, sour cream and cilantro and onions. It was juicy meat and not too thick. Great quality cuts in the meats. I was greeted later by the owner as he asked about my experience. I told him about adding grilled chicken breast tacos to the menu and he decided to whip one taco up for me this way. The taco was phenomenal and was told they would add it to the menu soon. The grilled char and seasoning made for a great taste. Highly recommended! The chips and salsa were okay but the food was amazing nonetheless. The flan was plated nicely and had layers of moist flan with a coffee flavor. Overall, I had a great experience. They use quality meat and are 100% Zabiha Halal and have their certification sign as well.

Cute place tucked into the corner of a strip mall. Lots of faux greenery and flowers. Very clean and casual, and the owner that waited on us was pleasant. The food was good - the chips were warm, the guacamole was really flavorful, and the quesabirria was delicious. The broth was hot and the quesadilla has a good amount of filling. The only cons are that the menu is pretty small, and there is a service charge for credit cards.

Food is always good here. Portions are pretty big and definitely filling. One of my favorite authentic restaurants. No alcohol is served here

Yum yum yum!! My friend and I stopped by at La Charanga recently and the food is amazing! One of the better Mexican restaurants I've had in a while. The restaurant is clean, chill vibe, and great service! Highly recommend getting nachos and churros! I can't wait to be back and try more items off their menu!!

The food was absolutely delicious. The Barbacoa was really good. Nice Halal twist to Mexican food.

Great local Mexican joint in Rolling Meadows. The steak tacos and burrito were nice and juicy. Full of flavor! The taco dinner had corn tortillas and were wrapped beautifully so they don't get soggy when I get home. The beans are vegetarian so I don't have to worry about lard. The burrito was packed and juicy. Also massive and very filling! We also got a hot and mild salsa. The red salsa was hot and Smokey while the green salsa was mild and had a hint of lime. It's a very CLEAN place and the food was delicious. It's going to be a new regular Mexican spot for me now!

This is not arragera! The meat so big and tough!!

The rice was standard -- nothing bad, but nothing memorable either. Prices were reasonable, but for the quality, I was expecting a bit more in the flavors to stand out in some way. A waitress brings you chips and salsa and the menu. We saw at least 10 people come in for large pickup orders. It looks like the building was a Pizza Hut in the past. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated but could use some updates but definitely feels cozy. The weather is in the 90's and the restaurant is nice and cool! There are several TV's mounted on the wall throughout the restaurant. Two are showing menu items, one is showing a soccer game, one is showing golf. and the last one is just some random tv program. The sound is off and they are playing Spanish music. There are lots of great menu items. I had a hard time picking out something to eat. I have never had a torta and decided to order the Chile Relleno Torta. It was spectacular! The bread was crispy and warm on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. It was seasoned perfectly and I could taste all the individual ingredients. I would definitely order again and recommend you try it as well. Definitely better then I expected. My husband ordered the Carne Asda burrito Suizo which he orders everywhere. Wow it is huge and the meat was tender and definitely one of the top 5 that he has ever eaten! Our waitress was very kind and attentive, she even refilled our chips. We left the restaurant full and happy! We will definitely be back!!

We ordered breakfast last week- a steak & egg burrito and tamale plate. Burrito was delicious and their salsas are fantastic! Had to go back for tacos tonight w/ cilantro and onion. Steak is by far my favorite- excellent portion, well-seasoned & not dry. My new favorite in the area, I think. Al pastor, carnitas, and chile relleno were also great. So glad I found a new taco spot on the way home from work. I will be back! (No pictures because I devoured the food.)

On top of that, the meat portion was extremely small--definitely not what you'd expect for the price. The tamale was another letdown. It was overpriced, tiny, super dry, and wrapped in plastic, which is honestly concerning. The rice and beans tasted like they had been cooked weeks ago and reheated multiple times. There was a noticeable styrofoam/plastic smell, and the flavor came off artificial--almost chemical-like. It barely resembled real food... more like PlayDoh. The only reason I'm giving 1 star instead of zero is because the salsa (verde and roja) was actually good. I was hope at least the customer service would make up for the food, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. The cashier seemed bothered that I was even there--no warmt, no welcome, just a rushed and uncomfortable interaction. Overall, not a place I'd return

So, I stopped in during the week, just after lunch time and found this little hole-in-the wall of a restaurant conveniently nestled in a shopping center next to the local Walmart. Even though I walked in and the restaurant was completely empty, the pure vibrancy of the decor and the cheerfulness of the staff encouraged me to stay. Not to mention that the aroma making its way out from the kitchen was absolutely mouth-watering. I took a seat at the bar while I perused the menu and was delighted in the simplicity of it. You know the food is about to be fire when the menu is simple and a restaurant focuses on what it does well. In addition to the excellent service, the food was absolutely phenomenal. I started off with some chips and salsa.... which was delightfully flavorful and perfectly crisp. Then, I had a bowl of the tortilla soup. Each spoonful was like deja vu. Each bite made me feel like I was in my grandmother's kitchen as a little girl all over again. The broth was perfectly seasoned and each bite came with a chunk of chicken and an assortment of veggies... truly perfecto! Once I was done with the appetizers, I made my decision to try two tacos from the menu. The first was a salmon taco--and it didn't TASTE FISHY. It was grilled to perfection and then paired with an unexpected yet delicious topping of crispy potato strings and chipotle aioli. I ate every bite of this. It was the perfect combination of crunch and flavor, I just couldn't get enough. Then I also ordered the carne asada a cabron taco. Simple, yet dynamically flavorful. I was so full at this point but took this one home to eat at a later time. Still as amazing as the day I ordered it i'm sure. While I neglected to have any desserts or margaritas here, I was assured that they are just as remarkable as anything else. I had a wonderful meal, excellent service and I greatly look forward to going back if i'm ever in the area again for work. 10/10 Highly recommend!!

I ordered the flautas. They were exactly what you want flautas to be: present, edible, and not causing any problems. The vegetarian tacos with avocado, however, were the sleeper hit of the evening and probably deserved more attention than they got. But let's talk about Abby. Abby was funny, fast, attentive, and somehow managed to appear at our table exactly when we needed something. More importantly, she made margaritas that tasted like they had been blessed by a tequila wizard. I'm convinced she put extra love in mine. Either that or she saw I was from out of town and decided I needed professional assistance. At one point I started wondering whether Abby actually works for Lady Dahlia or if she just travels the country improving restaurant experiences one table at a time. The food was solid. The atmosphere was great. Abby was a five-star experience trapped inside a four-star review. If every restaurant had an Abby, Yelp would go out of business because nobody would have anything to complain about.
