Just had the taste for a burrito, and this place filled the bill. Very reasonably priced for what I got, and very good. Will be sure to check out other items on the menu next time.

I have been hearing about this place for a long time. I'm so happy to finally get to try it. They are a very friendly, no frills, good quality food kind of place. They ave some seating, but it pretty limited. The menu is very limited, but that is ok. They know what they are good at, and they do an amazing job at it. The steak burrito is easily one of the best ones around. I love the orange hot sauce too. It hot. The gorditas are large. The shell is amazing. When. You order quac. It's made to order right there. I have nothing bad to say about this place and will be one of my top choices moving forward.

I personally enjoy a very authentic taco restaurant any part of Chicago. I got a variety of food at this location specifically wanting the quesobarillas (spelling). They were def good but not the absolute best. I still recommend trying it out if you're in the area... plus the staff was very friendly!

Shredded chicken tostada- excellent and an ample portion!

I wanted to try something local for lunch while in the office and I came across this place next to Subway. This is more of a take out place but there is 3-4 small tables as well. They had a $4.25 shredded chicken tostada special that was excellent! The chicken was fresh, tender, delicious, not overly spicy and was plenty for lunch. While the ambiance is lacking the food was very good, the cashier was very nice, and the food came out very quickly. I will definitely be back and I look forward to trying something else! I give this place 3.75 stars.

The name says it ALL! Authentic Taco offers a variety of different food options! From traditional tacos to burritos, tortas and gorditas! They truly made me feel like I was at home visiting family! The staff and owners are truly the sweetest people I've come across! I've had their quesabirrias with chips and salsa and carne asada (steak) tacos with the red sauce and they are BOMB! My boyfriend had the Burrito Super with carne asada (steak) and for someone who is critical with his burritos he LOVED IT! If you want REAL AUTHENTIC Mexican food, this is the spot to go!

Tacos Al pastor

Absolutely delicious! A must visit hole in the wall spot. Quesabirria and tacos Al pastor were incredibly flavorful, and reasonably priced. Plenty of gluten free options (they use corn tortillas), and service was very friendly. Limited indoor seating and no obvious bathroom, so probably better as a carry out option.

Quesabirria meal

My favorite lunch spot near my workplace. The restaurant is quite small with a few tables in front. I usually just grab my food and head out. The person who takes the orders, Rachel, is super friendly and kind. When I visited the restaurant twice in one day, she took the time to ask for my name and talk to me for a couple minutes. I've tried the chicken quesadilla, the al pastor burrito, the quesa birria meal, the horchata, the tamarind drink, and the fruit drink(i think it was mango, but i forgot) on my own. Amazingly, my company had an event and ordered a bunch of different stuff for catering from here, including al pastor, chicken, and steak tacos, gorditas, burritos, and quesadillas. They also got chips and guac! It was quite the feast, and I gladly got to try the gorditas(chicken, al pastor), tacos(chicken, al pastor, steak), steak quesadilla, and chips+guac. Overall, the meat is always very tender, with the meat in the quesabirria being the most tender. So far, with every dish, veggies were included on the side. They also provide a mild(green sauce) and hot sauce, both very tasty. Tacos: Tried from catering. Stuffed with meat, and there were trays of veggies I could put in. Not sure how they come in an individual order, but I'm sure they are also amazing. Gorditas: First time trying gorditas, but i loved them. They were stuffed with meat and beans, and the combination of the two was delicious. Quesadilla: Classic. Delicious. Exactly how you imagine a good quesadilla to be. Cheesy and meaty Quesabirria: First time trying birria and I was impressed. The meat was so tender and juicy and the stew added an amazing hearty and meaty flavor. Horchata: My favorite horchata I have tried so far. The sweetness is perfect and the texture is smooth. Sometimes places have thick and pasty horchatas, but this horchata is perfect. Fruit drink(i think mango): delicious. Refreshing and fruity. Tamarind drink: not my favorite flavor, but that's just me. It is very strong and tangy. People who like tamarind should give it a try Overall, 5/5. The restaurant staff was amazing and the food is absolute fire. Definitely give it a try

Small place but food had big flavors. More of a to-go than eating in place. Prices aren't too bad either.

Our waitress was very nice and did her best. I requested pico on the side so I could give it to my cousin, but one of my dishes still came with tomatoes, which I'm allergic to. By the time our waitress made it back to our table, my food was no longer hot, and we were ready to leave, so I didn't mention it. On the positive side, the drinks were good, there's plenty of parking, and the prices are pretty reasonable. Overall, it's a decent Mexican spot, but it seems like they could use a little more help during busy times.

Since nobody came to help us, we decided to move to the bar. While we were served quickly at the bar, what we saw next completely ruined our night. There were fruit flies everywhere--flying around and inside the cups of fresh fruit used for the margaritas, as well as all over the Tajin and salt used to rim the glasses. We were so disgusted we couldn't even finish our drinks. To make matters worse, when the bartender went to clean the area, a swarm of about 20 fruit flies scattered. This is a massive sanitation and safety issue. We've never had a bad experience here before, but after what we saw today, we absolutely will not be returning.

It's located inside a grocery store (which is how you just know it's going to be good!). We've ordered so many times before and are always amazed at how good everything tastes. We love the carne asada quesadillas for our kids, and al pastor tacos, lengua is always good but not always available depending on whether you order online vs. over the phone/in-person. We ordered all the fixings for a taco bar for a small family party recently, and I cannot recommend this more! Seriously, they are so kind and so accommodating--they thought of everything. They wrapped the salsas in saran wrap on top of the containers they were packed in to prevent any leaks. They provided serving utensils for all the meats and sides. They even packaged everything up in a crate (not just a cardboard box) and helped my husband bring it to the car! And the lady insisted our daughter pick out so many lollipops for her and her cousins for no charge. They were so quick with communication when my husband was inquiring about prices too. What we got with our order: - Carne asada - Al pastor - Rice and beans - Corn tortillas - Chips and guacamole (spicy though) - Onions, cilantro, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese - Red and green salsas

It was a little confusing initially because there's a walk up register to order, so I thought I'd order up there when I was ready, but when I sat down to wait for a friend, I got waited on. So I guess both things are true. You get free chips and salsa at the table, which is always great, and I want to give a shoutout to having additional salsas in squeezable bottles at the table you can add to your liking to your food. Yum!

You know how sometimes meats can be a bit bland. Not here. They really nail the taste and tenderness and the people working there, Just lovely. The waiter and the lady at the register were both super friendly and welcoming, which always makes for a great experience. Okay, onto the specifics, I started with a burrito de asada, and seriously, it was perfect. It was put together so nicely, packed full, and they even included rice inside, which was a delicious surprise. Super satisfying and felt like great value for the price. Then I branched out and tried a couple of their gorditas one with steak and another with chorizo. Again, both meats were incredibly tasty and really well prepared. Now, a little heads up, their gorditas are a bit unique. Instead of the usual pouch you stuff, they cut the entire top off, so it's more like an open faced sandwich. It was different, but honestly, it was still super delicious and easy to eat. We also shared a taco dinner, and those were fantastic too. The prices overall are really reasonable, especially for the quality you're getting. Oh, and you absolutely must try their horchata, it's seriously good and so refreshing. The place itself is pretty chill. They have a TV on, and it was generally quiet, which is nice for a relaxed meal. It's not a huge spot, with a few tables and booths, but what really caught my eye was how many people were coming in for takeout orders. That's always a good sign that it's a popular local favorite. Honestly, if you're ever looking for a top notch taco shop nearby, this one is probably one of the best I've encountered. You definitely won't be disappointed.
