I had to fly from Hawaii to get the best taco's and it was all worth it. Went here 2x during my vacation. We got 3 different types and they were all tasty. I can't wait to come back. The service was great and always smiling.

Los Arcos offers authentic Mexican food along with ice cold Michiladas! We are still in the hunt to try different Mexican restaurants and found Los Arcos on yelp. Due to the reviews we decided to drive a bit further to taste what the rating were about and we were not disappointed! As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a smile and seated. Dining area is clean, floors swept and bathroom sanitized. There are flat screens to watch your sports team and the owner will change the channel to the game you desire. I always order a shrimp cocktail, filete de pescado with garlic and a ice cold michilada to wash down my meal. The fresh made salsa is spicy with a delicious kick. Team members always go above and beyond to accommodate our dining experience. The fish ceviche is a must too. We will be back to taste the goodness at Los Arcos. High end taste for a quality cost. Thanks Los Arcos!

Reading reviews people saying this is a good taco joint. I don't know what people been eating around here but this place is not that good. I order 4 tacos 2 carne asada, al pastor, and chicken. Need to search for good tacos in the suburbs again. Carne asada suppose to be skirt steak this was not skirt steak. Super dry taste like old meat. Al pastor too big of a chunk of meat and not tender. Chicken - I would say the best out of 3 but still a bit dry. I ask for onion and Cilantro but got lettuce and tomato

Al Pastor tacos with red sauce - always order takeout :) Al Pastor Taco

We love Los Arcos; we order delivery often. I love their Al Pastor tacos, picadillo sope, and steak burritos. My husband loves the steak quesadillas and shrimp tacos. AND they have the most amazing red sauce- it's so good!

I probably have had every taco on their menu, and I have to say they are my favorite authentic tacos in the burbs. Tonight it was the rajas con queso tacos and they were the highlight of a really long day. I remember coming here once with my fam when I was a kid and rediscovering them in my late 20s. Get the green avocado sauce and put it in on everything. You will not regret it. Real nice people too. I just learned today they've been in business for 29 years. It's tough for everyone right now, I get it, but please treat yourself to a damn good taco and keep them going.

Fresh chips and both salsas are yummy!

Giving this rating was very hard because the customer service is great and I felt like the seafood was fresh ( I had a shrimp tostada) but I wasn't too impressed with asada tacos and sopes. The meat I felt was ground and skimpy whereas a good taco has nice chucks of meat and you visually see more meat than taco shell! I really wanted Jamaica water but they didn't have any , luckily they had tamarindo and that is my back up which was yummy. I tipped the server well because she deserved it but this place isn't worth driving 20 miles to eat , I live in the city and I have no problem traveling for a good food experience. I decided to try this place because it's by this place called Thai Little Home Cafe that I go to 2-3 times a month. Figured it could be my new go to spot for Mexican food but the search continues!

Small little place in a strip mall, but alright on the inside with super friendly people working there; I wasn't intimidated at all! This place was super authentic... the chicken in my chicken tacos came right off of the bone. The tortillas were packed to the brim with chicken, onions, and tomatoes... mmmm toppings are muy bien, I say! When I asked for lime they gave me a whole lime. Nice! I like it when places don't skimp on the condiments. Well, who doesn't!? Anyway, their menu is huge... pretty much every traditional Mexican dish is on there. They also have a large seafood selection which I cannot wait to try! Affordable, too! Yay! Broke Manders can still eat good food on a budget! The only downside was the chicken wasn't perfect (still good, I've just had better) and my mama did find a bone in her chicken taco... Muy mal! I would go again for sure... And so should you.

Best Mexican I have ever eaten. Superb fish and great service. The tables are booths that are a little 1950's-dinerish but that's part of the tremendous charm of the place. I love it here.

I also got the azteca salad with salmon as my entree - the salad portion was big, but the salmon was small and overcooked a bit. My fiance's combination fajitas of steak and shrimp were delicious though with lots of veggies and toppings.

We decided to sit outside on the patio, which honestly wasn't much different from other restaurant patios. Our server, Trayana, was exceptionally kind, cheerful, and truly wonderful -- nothing but compliments for her service. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the food and drinks. The cocktail Paloma was marked on the menu as "the most popular," which is why I ordered it, but I simply didn't enjoy it. The same goes for the food. I ordered the Salsa Verde enchiladas, and I can't really say they were good either. They tasted somewhat sour to me. One great touch, though, was the complimentary chips with three different dips served as an appetizer. While we're not huge fans of that kind of snack, many people are, so it's definitely a nice addition while waiting for the main course.

I have lived in Mount Prospect for over 25 years, but still didn't know where to cop delicious tamales so I turned to my fellow Yelpies for help. The number one recommended place wasn't open on Mondays so I headed to the Tamaleria Y Antojitos Chepis. Even with the technology of Google Maps, it was a little difficult to find in the strip mall, but I appreciate it's location relative to my house/the gym (which is where I was prior to this sidequest!). As soon as I stepped into the small establishment, which had postage signage that eating in the shop was unavailable at this time, I was warmly greeted. I had a slight panic because I didn't see tamales on the digital menu, but I shared with the gentleman behind the counter what I was looking for and he immediately checked the stock and told me he had only pork left, but in 4 different sauces. I ended up getting 6 in green sauce and 6 in red sauce. The flavors were really good! I like spicy so they were very enjoyable for me. The ratio of masa to filling was good. They retained their shape better as the days went on of me eating leftovers versus when I ate two boiling lava hot out of the bag. The tamales were wrapped in banana leaves instead of the cornhusks which tickled my half Asian brain. I enjoyed each tamale I purchased!

I also ordered a Tostada Mary that had ham and was delicious. I got an order of tacos birria for myself. Great deal for $15.99... I'm waiting for my food and look in the back and this sweet lady is rolling masa into balls and pressing them into actual tortillas and putting them on the griddle!!! That doesn't happen anymore... There isn't much room for dining in. It's in a small strip mall. I want to go back and try a bunch more stuff. For sure I will be back 100% Thank you for a great meal and amazing tamales!!! Patrick
