Walking in to La Chic is like walking into a time capsule! This boutique is chock-full of tasty threads and accessories from the 20s all the way through the 70s. Need a beaded handbag for the Downton Abbey movie premiere? Check! A sweet little dress for the Forties Ball? Check-check! This little shop is not only my go-to for my vintage needs but my happy place! I love coming in here to shop. Michele really knows her stuff and the pricing is very conservative. I've found so many treasures in here and I'm always complimented when I wear the things I find. I know they've had a little bit of a rough go the last few months moving units and having a couple unfortunate obstacles thrown her direction but she's taken it all with such a positive attitude, and barely missed a beat! This little shop was so cute and fun!! The lady working, I think her name was Michele, was extremely helpful and so nice!! We were looking for a dress for the 1940's ball and she must've brought me ten dresses to try on. When I found the one I wanted, she referred me to an alterations lady just down the street. Disappointed that I left work early to make it in before the hours listed here (4pm closing on Saturday.) I arrived at 2:30pm, the door was locked, and the hours listed says "3:00pm closing." Weird, but 2:30pm is earlier than 3pm. Love when businesses don't keep their hours advertised as if people don't make plans. read more

This store has an amazing selection of vintage clothes that are all super cute and priced moderately. The owner was also extremely warm and friendly. I look forward to returning! read more

Holy cow, this was the best shopping experience I think I've ever had. Michele spent so much time helping me find the perfect dress for my June Cleaver costume. There were so many amazing dresses that I actually bought three, one for Halloween, one for fun and one for a wedding. Her prices were great for the authentic vintage she provides. Super fun thrifting experience. Gobs and gobs of vintage clothing. Owner is always working to improve the shop and bring her customers the very best. Prices are reasonable and sales frequent. Don't be overwhelmed with the vast inventory in a cramped space....owner encourages browsing; creating the whole shopping "experience" . Drop by often, inventory sells and owner replenishes quickly.....The gals and I always find something and have a whole lotta laughs doing it! read more

I was SO excited when I found this place, and then I saw all the goodies inside. Enter bug eyes and dropped jaw! The amazement stopped there however. Prices are ludicrous!!! I expect somewhat high-ish prices at stores like this but when the products are horribly stained, torn, and stink; I expect the prices to reflect that. The store owner and operator is so-so. Can be nice and chatty, but REALLY overbearing. I found myself getting annoyed quickly at her supposed knowledge of time periods per garments. Not very accurate at all! I went in looking for a 40's-50's lace dress and she pointed me to clearly 80's-90's epic shoulders, ruffles, etc. Said I could add lace to my liking. Really?!? read more

I was looking for an affordable, but unique dress for an event and this little shop was a diamond in the rough! Michelle knows her vintage era well and is basically a stylist for her customers. Once I found the dress in her store, she helped me accessorize from what style of shoes to wear to what earrings will match best. She is awesome and I wish I could have her with me every time I shop. I've been shopping at La Chic Thrift for years-- it's been 7 years since my last review, and I'm delighted to say that the store is every bit as fun now as it was the very first time I set foot in the door! The owner is extremely good at making recommendations and helping you find what you're looking for. The selection of quality vintage clothing is remarkable and carefully curated. I rarely leave without a piece (or two!) from the diverse jewelry collection. There are a lot of clothing resale stores out there, but La Chic Thrift is tops in vintage. read more
