The other day I was at a store right next to this particular Goodwill. In the parking lot was their Goodwill truck and 4 large blue donation bins for dropping items off. I just so happened to have donation items in the back of my car so I pulled up to the bins and put all of my items in the bins. It was so convenient and easy! I have been inside this Goodwill store before. For some reason it is really dingy. It stinks as if it used to be an old bingo hall where the air was thick and saturated with cigarette smoke mixed with dust. A lot of items on the shelves were dirty and broken. I'm not sure who would be interested buying those items. I feel like I need to wear a mask and gloves when I'm here. I frequent thrift stores often and this is my least favorite location. It really seems rundown, unkept, and unclean. read more

Very poor for a second hand store that receives its items from FREE DONATIONS to make profit. The employees were very abrasive and some rude one even bumped into me (an excuse me flies along ways). For these type of stores I find it great they are recycling goods, but the constant over policing of a product that has zero overhead is overboard and just not friendly today was last time I will shop a goodwill EVER! I encourage us all to donate items to Action center for people in need. read more

Tried to drop off a donation at this location today. I pulled up to the front of the store since their trailer was no longer located in the parking area. When I got out of my car and about to remove my donation bags from the passenger side, a clerk approached me and told me to get back in my car and get in line. There was no line and a donation tub was located within inches of my vehicle. Ridiculous!!!! I got back in my car and drove off. With so many worthwhile charities around, why would this company want to inconvenience their donors? I'll never return to this place or any other Goodwill location now even though this particular location is just 1/2 mile away. read more

This store used to be great. I used to come here every week and find something great. Nowadays i've noticed an obvious decline in the customer service quality and the selection at this store. Everything good must be put online because the only thing you'll find at this store is rags. Doesn't help that the girl manager with glasses seems to always be in a terrible mood. They have plain Walmart and Target jeans for $20 a pop which is criminal. RIPOFF! read more

I have gone to this store for years. I never went out of my way to visit but went when I had business in Golden. In the past I found it to be on the dirty side and they had a lot of stuff that looked like left over yard sale..if it doesn't sell at a yard sale its usually not worth buying. As of late I have been going there more, mostly because of covid and needing to get out.The store seems to be cleaner, a bit better selection I have found some treasures there. I have not personally found anything of value at this particular Goodwill. I've even tried to donate things (big items not just clothes) and been given the run around. I ended up taking my donations to the Goodwill in Lakewood down on Wadsworth/Florida and they were more than happy to unload my truck. I got some nice deals today on some vases to "upcycle." It was pretty much up to me however to wrap all of the vases I had purchased in newspaper and get boxes from outside, put the boxes together and box everything up. I really appreciated one of the cashier's named Liz, who helped me get the boxes out and loaded into my car. I much prefer this store to the chaos that is the ARC. read more

The prices were ridiculous for a thrift store and the selection was awful. most of the clothes were dingy and dirty. they had a pair of used Old Navy flip flops that Old Navy sales for $100 for $4.50. I will not shop here again read more

Was in Denver and had some time to kill, so tried a few thrift stores in Golden. This Goodwill was very much like all its sisters, so I can't offer any constructive criticism; that said, I was glad to see that color arrangement wasn't exaggerated. Like items were placed together and not solely by color! Found a Swedish candelabra, so that made it great to actually find something that I wanted! read more

I love this Goodwill, but it's tough to find something for myself here pretty frequently. The main issue that's not of Goodwill's control here is that they're in a college town FULL of guys where the ratio isn't helping them keep their stock equal. Being from this college, I know that everytime there's some kind of themed party, no less than 50 guys will stop in a clean the place out. If you're a lady, your chances here are pretty good. There's a lot of wealth in Golden that dump their old stuff to Goodwill on a daily basis. This location also collects a lot of things from the nearby mountain communities. Hit them up as often as you stop by taco bell or the liquor store in the same plaza, and you'll come out with some great stuff! read more

Dirty. Filthy. Most of the "furniture" was trash and irreparable. I love the Mission of Goodwill and support them wherever I travel. I don't love a filthy store. And they are not all as poorly kept as this one. Come on Store Manager. Raise your standards. read more

It's a busy Goodwill, and we love it! Not much to say except the staff is always friendly, the store is as clean as a Goodwill can be, and we love browsing! It's located in a strip mall and near a King Soopers. We love to add Goodwill trips into our errand-running! You never know what treasures you will end up with! read more

This Goodwill gets the job done with nothing special. They have a decent amount of clothing and even some new items mixed in. The furniture and "things department" as I would call it, is lacking. A lot of junky stuff. They do have nice amounts of holiday items and decorations when the big holidays come up. I made out like a bandit around Halloween time. The check out staff is friendly, and a bit weird. read more

Great store, but a bit too small. This is definitely one of the best Goodwill or other thrift type stores I've visited. The shoes and clothing are in excellent condition. The selection of dishes and kitchenwares is great and the quality is fine. Since Golden is a college town, items tend to fly off the shelves VERY quickly. Selection can be terrible one week and amazing the next, so keep trying. If this store were a little larger and had more furniture, I'd give it 5 stars. read more

I am a local and a frequent buyer at this location. My recent experience was to say the least, horrible. I wanted to see a watch in the display case. When a girl finally and reluctantly came behind the counter, she acted as though she couldn't reach the item. Giving me a sarcastic sorry, she then proceeded to "organize" a shelf nearby. I figured another sales associate would be asked to help me! I was left standing there in disbelief. It was highly insulting and rude. I will never return to this location again. read more

I'm with Rachel. The people who work here are lovely and I've found some incredible things at this Goodwill. This is my favorite simply for the fact that they have a deal with the local Target to accept the donation of any seasonal clearance that's passed it's 90 day mark. This can result in some really fun finds. I think it's best to get here early in the week for the best selection. read more

Trash! Bought a speaker from them after talking to the manager who said he would give it to me for 14.99. He said this introns of another cashier. I was charged 24.99. Assistant manager said she would go ask him. And came back and said the manager never said that. Managers name was alfanzo I think. Rude and goes against what he says. Wouldn't usually care except it's a 10$ difference. read more

I'm not posting this to get any response I just want y'all to be aware. This is the second time that I've donated to Goodwill and I will now find another place to donate my stuff. Each time I've gone I've been treated terribly, like I'm an inconvenience by giving my stuff for y'all to sell. And this happened BOTH times I went so it's not an isolated incident. I think the staff working your donation centers needs some training in customer service because people bringing their stuff to y'all, trying to do a good deed, and then get treated like they are wasting the staffs time and should've found another way to get rid of their stuff is ridiculous. read more

I was not impressed by this Goodwill. It's a smaller store, so there are clothes and a few household items. They had a lot of out of season items on the shelves, like Christmas and Easter stuff in July. And even then, the items are not grouped together or complete. The prices are all over the place. On some toys, the prices were more expensive than for brand new items. And it's not like they were rare or hard to find things. I probably won't be coming back. read more

Goodwill are hit and miss... and you always have to keep coming back if at first you don't succeed as they get new shipments in all the time...but this one was a gold mine the other day! The staff at this location is very friendly, helpful and personable. I am a reseller so I visit locations throughout the Denver area often. My problem with Goodwill stores (especially this one) lately, is that they are raising prices so high you feel like you are in a consignment store. You can find some good things in this one but are you willing to pay full resale price? Goodwill does help the community but they are also pricing themselves out of the market for people who shop there because they are looking for a deal or cannot afford to shop at retail stores. An example I found last week was a White House Black Market dress that they prices at $39.99. You can't even get that price from a resale standpoint. Also, clothing selection has gone way down with stained and items needing repair. My suggestion to the store is to stop looking on eBay to price your items. If there is a profit margin you have to meet then you will get more sales by pricing the items correctly and not gouging prices. read more

I frequent ALL of the Goodwill's in the Denver metro area. This one is by far the most expensive. I know that the clothes are priced the same at all of the Goodwills, but everything else is SO overpriced here. I've heard many other customers say the same. They would sell more and make more money if they lowered the prices. I spend hundreds of dollars a week at Goodwill, but this one I don't spend much money at because of the prices. Come on, think of your customers and not how high you can price all of your FREE donations! read more

Like all Goodwills, it's a hit or miss. I've fortunately had good luck at this one both times I've been and the prices are reasonable. It is a decent-sized location, about 3/4 of the stores beign clothing and 1/4 being knick-knacks. I've founmd some really great antiques here but haven't had much luck with the clothing. So it goes. Poor selection and the store always seems crowded (maybe the two are related?) Lots of women's clothing but not a lot on the men's side and the household goods section is pretty skimpy. The staff is nice, though, and it's at least clean. Been to a lot of thrift stores in Denver and they tend to smell like urine or moth balls. They are worth a try but I've never had any luck going here. read more

I don't understand the bad reviews. I live in Golden and have found great deals at the Golden Goodwill - Dansko clogs, 400 count sheet sets, Sims waders, real Tupperware, vintage cowboys wear, maple end tables (and that's off the top of my head.) They are cheap all the time and practically free on half-priced Saturdays. The manager keeps the front moving quickly and all the employees are helpful and especially friendly. read more

This store had more brand new Target items than any other store I've encountered in Colorado. Racks and racks and rows of new stuff from clothing to bedding to furniture to kitchenware to lamps to stationary to general decor...it was all over the store. I almost took home a sweet new Threshold herringbone sitting chair for $80 but really wanted a pair. Other than a ton of new and packaged Target merch (which can be hit or miss, some items are hardly marked down at all from the Target clearance price tags), I found cool stuff in every corner of this store - a vintage solid wool ski racing sweater, an amazing pieced/striped wood lazy susan from Napa Valley, some Martin + Osa and BCBG clothing, brand new SnowTrax adjustable strap-on cleats and new clear globe string lights. Like other Goodwills, they offer a senior discount for those 55 and over, and they even let my mom share her discount with me though we checked out and paid separately. The only downfall was that many of the shelves were cluttered or overfilled and not organized. And I found a new, sealed pack of jerky seasoning from 1992 which was odd/scary (and pulled by an employee when I mentioned it). I'll definitely make a point to stop here again though when I'm in the area. read more
