This humble little restaurant, walking distance from Hotel Corona! The food & service was as if you were at home with this family, great homemade food, with hospitality of old fashioned family values. And we saw Abuela & Abuelito- I think(?). Grandson welcoming, seating, serving & cleaning up. The food again was delicious and homemade. The restaurant is not very large, however very accommodating. They had boxing on when we went and they serve micheladas among beer & other drinks. Those complaining about it being overpriced, really how then should they earn to live on offering cheaper prices? We thought the prices were reasonable & maybe appropriate for being a full service restaurant & not a typical taco stand out on the side of the road. And if you find cheaper like this LA, highly doubt it's a full service restaurant unless it's a size of a closet like those deep in LA. I can't wait to come back and have their breakfast:) they have the typical soups like caldo de res and menudo!

Love this little spot in the corner. Food is amazing, service is attentive, and in a great area. I ordered chilaquiles enmolados (mole sauce), + egg + chicken + side order of Mexican rice. Drink: Horchata. Let meee tell you, grandma was definitely back there cooking. Tasted like home. This place knows authenticity. Flour tortillas and food, freshly made. Side note I tend to be disappointed with how some restaurants cook mex rice but as soon as I tried their chilaquiles I knew I'd hit jackpot. A new fav. Feel like this place deserves more credit.

Saw this place as we drove toward the downtown area when we arrived to Rosarito. I think it was the name that made me feel like we had to check it out, after all, abuelas usually cook bomb! So, the next day we had breakfast here and I'm glad I went with my instinct! I ordered the chilaquiles divorciados (green and red salsa) with carne asada (chopped up) and sunny side eggs. Comes with a side of refried beans and a potato patty. Oooooh weeee!!! ONLY con is I asked if their coffee was café de olla, was told it was, but it was NOT. No cinnamon flavor, nor was it sweetened. As a matter of fact, it tasted like watered down instant coffee.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. Grandma actually cooked our food. Every member of the staff was very kind to us and patient with our next to no knowledge of Spanish. I can say with certainty this was THE best meal we had in Rosarito and I am so glad we stopped in. Every part of the meal from the chips and salsa to the main orders was absolutely delicious. I only wish we had saved room for dessert. Definitely a must-stop on my Mexican Food List now! Definitely stop in. You won't be disappointed!

Arrived this morning on our way to ensenada. It was closed until further noticed. We will come back soon.

It's a nice homey place. The food is authentic and the service is prompt. Our orders didn't blow us away at all. We've had better breakfast at home. But it was a nice little place. The coffee was the highlight of this trip. Café de la olla is coffee with a hint of cinnamon. The tortilla chips were stale. The salsa was good. Everything else was mediocre.

Super delicious. If you're looking for real Mexican cooking made by somebody's Abuelita in the back then you found it, it's right here.

As I was looking at the menu, I noticed the offering of the Mundialistas 'World-Class' burgers and French fries. The options included the McFrancia, McMéxico de Res (beef), McMéxico de Pollo (chicken), McUSA, and McEspaña fries. I opted for the largo combo of the McUSA burger with French fries and Sprite. The McUSA was prepared with two burger patties, bacon, pickles, BBQ sauce, cheese, and grilled onions on a potato bun. It happened to be very good. The flavor of the burger was satisfactory and the quality of the meat was very different (in a good way) compared to the American McDonald's burgers. I also enjoyed the freshly made fries. The Sprite was not served with ice, so the drink ended up being lukewarm. The soda was also slightly flat. Because I purchased a large combo, I was given a 'sticker dorado' from FIFA. What a cool mini prize. For the meal, I spent a total of MX$254.99, which equated to almost $15. It's comparable to how much I pay back in the United States. The inside of the restaurant was presentable but a tad dirty. The women's restroom fell below expectations, as the stall door didn't close and there wasn't any tissue available. The customer service was decent. Overall, this McDonald's location in México gets the job done. The experience was not disappointing but not spectacular either. All in all, I was glad to try something unique, such as the McUSA, on this visit.

Therefore there was a bit of a language barrier when ordering... understandably so. No one ended up ordering any food, but there were several drinks purchased, none of which tasted good. When this Jack in the Box first opened, it was honestly a five star experience. Unfortunately, over time I've seen a noticeable decline, mainly in cleanliness and a bit in customer service. The last 4/5 times I've chosen to eat inside, every single table has been dirty. I've had to grab napkins and water from the bathroom just to clean my own table before sitting down. The windows are covered in greasy fingerprints, clearly from little kids, and the floors under the booths are visibly filthy. This is not a one time issue, it has been consistent over multiple visits. To be fair, I have not experienced the order issues that other reviewers mention. My food has always been correct, and the food still tastes good for fast food, especially for takeout. I will continue to come back because I do like the food and want to support this location. That said, cleanliness really matters to me, and customers should not have to clean their own tables. I truly hope management sees the feedback and makes improvements, because this place has the potential to get back to the great experience it had when it first opened.
