We had the country fried steak which was probably the best one I have ever had in my entire life! My sons had chorizo and eggs and the other one had chocolate pancakes, ham and eggs. We also got a Nutella Crepe because my youngest had never had a real crepe before. The food was all amazing. We cleaned every plate between a 47 year old, 13 & 8 year old! We couldn't stop eating!! The place was clean and for such a busy brunch we were sat very quickly! Service was amazing as well! The staff was so accommodating, friendly and professional! They were so hard working turning those tables over and checking on tables all the time. We didn't have to wait for plates to be cleared or refills of Iced Tea!! Like I said I can't believe I haven't been back to this place in such a long time but that is going to change!! I will be back as much as I can! Especially to support a local family owned restaurant!

Tasty or WasteY???? Totally tasty !!!!…read moreI love everything about this place. I always get the Chilaquiles with green sauce. My husband gets different things on the menu when we go and he enjoys all of them. The only problem I have is it is so loud in there because it is such a small and confined restaurant. And I enjoy the live music being played. It's just such a tight confined little place. And you have to yell to talk to one another therefore everybody else here's your conversation. This is not a good place to go on a date or to get to know somebody over conversation. That's why you have Galletto's or Tresetti's down the street. But if you wanna go and have a quick breakfast, then this is the place. Though wait waitresses are always very, very nice. And the prices are great.

They have yummy pastries on display but the breakfast menu has tons of savory options. We ordered H Street Block which is a blueberry french toast casserole. It was the perfect size. It looks small, but it was very filling and just enough to get my day started. It's a bit pricey for the size but since that was the portion I wanted, I wasn't too disappointed. One of the workers mentioned they do have kids menu options, but they didn't have the printed kids menus available, so if you don't see them, just ask when you are ordering. The Champions Breakfast platter was a great choice for our kids to share. It was one of the better fruit bowls I've seen, with a variety of fresh berries and oranges. The place is pretty small inside, but we were there on a Thursday morning so it was no issue finding a parking spot or a table to sit. I appreciate how kid friendly they are, even bringing kid size water cups with lids, and there are even some children's books on the shelf in the back. Such a cute little spot, I would have never known about it if I wasn't looking on Yelp for breakfast places in this area.

I ordered a regular coffee which was so fresh and perfect. My food, I ordered the Benny on a Bun, that's the wrong sandwich for a on the go morning. I didn't think to order the hollandaise on the side so my bread was totally soggy. The bacon was extremely salty. I'm not sure what brand it was but it was not good to me. I couldn't pick it up to eat it because I was driving. It was already soggy and wet to begin with, not the restaurants fault but I would say I would not order that for a togo order. It was not easy to eat, very messy and again, I didn't care for the bacon.

Tasty or WasteY???? Always Tastey…read more We have been coming to Mimi's for years. We are always welcome with a smile. They treat us as if we are family. Never had a bad service here. Their habanero hot wings are the best. I've tried so many things on the menu it's hard to pick just one favorite. I would highly recommend this place. Our waitress Jessica already knows what we want to drink and sometimes ask us. Are you guys here for dessert??

GOODBYE LONGTIME, RELIABLE FRIEND! I've enjoyed Mimi's for…read moremore than a couple of decades--it's been a go to choice for lunch, brunch, and dinner! The atmosphere has always been enjoyable, and the food always satisfyingly delicious. On 1/17/26, I treated a dear friend to dinner after a matinee show at the Gallo Center. We both enjoy Mimi's--sadly, not any more!! My French Pot Roast entree was luke-warm over piping hot mashed potatoes--huh...hmmm...?? Her Hibachi Salmon entree had undercooked rice--WHAT?!! (Chef's night off?? These are worse than NOVICE mistakes!!) This was prime dinner time on a Saturday evening--and, by-the-way...no manager in sight. The place was unusually quiet--few customers, only sparse regulars. As a side note: our server was being given recommendations for work at other restaurants by a couple of her "regulars." She wasn't too concerned about our substandard entrees; said she'd tell the kitchen, but "couldn't do anything about it." WOW! Management not available--probably also looking for other work?! Our dessert--apple crisp crumble--was tasty, yet more soft than crisp. I figured, WHY leave a review--the place was more-than-likely going under...?! This evening (4-months later) I was surprised when Mimi's came up under recommendations. I thought they'd be closed by now. Be forewarned--Mimi's is NOT what it used to be!! SO SAD, but I will not be returning! (My late father was a successful and celebrated chef from back East. As chain restaurants go...Mimi's was "ON" his list--especially the Modesto location. I'm relieved he's not alive to see its sad and disappointing demise!)
