This a favorite of one of my clients here in Mexicali and the food is always good. This time I was looking for something different so I tried the seafood rice plate. It was huge and I couldn't even get through half of it. It had huge shrimp in it with some other seafood like calamari, etc. The restaurant itself is some benches and tables, not a real upscale place and that's why you get the reasonable prices. You start off with a cup of broth served in a Styrofoam cup, saltine crackers or tostadas. My client always gets us a pitcher of the lemon-aide [like] drink. It is NOT sweetened like regular lemonade and is much more like a lemon infused water.

Also, we ordered a mixed plate that was really good, it had aguachiles, ceviche, and some octopus. The lemonades we ordered were very very good as well, and made for each order. Also a taco gobernador which was a little different than usual. I got them a 4 stars because the a.c. wasn't as good as it should be, especially for Mexicali.
