I normally never leave a negative review since I know how important it is for most companies, and even in the worst of circumstances I only ever leave a 2-star review since there is usually an honest effort to make things better for the customer. Unfortunately with Chef Carmen, I did not find this to be the case and with little option other than to leave a review about my experience in the hopes that it resolves things - although I'm not confident of that fact given the response rate I've received so far.
I had arranged a cooking class experience with Chef Carson cooking school at the start of the year (2019). I had put in my deposit and at the proper date, issued full payment for the class. Nothing out of the ordinary and the process was entirely fine from this standpoint.
However, I never received my paid for cooking class and ultimately was turned away. It felt like a bait and switch - here I had paid and had confirmation of my payment, but was turned away! I never received the cooking class that I had paid for, and after requesting a refund, never received one either! Incredibly frustrating! I cannot in good faith recommend a place that operates this way and would warn customers from coming here (or so so recognizing that you may not get your paid for services!).
The cooking school looks lovely, so imagine those that get service have a great time - but not in our case! read more
