The parking lot was a bit congested because there's hand car wash sharing the lot. There didn't seem to be any designated parking so once i placed my order I went back to car and waited - just in case I needed to move my car out of someone's way. Instead of a static board, they have 3 or 4 LCD monitors with menu & pricing. The screens change every few seconds and they twist, fly and float in. There are also several handwritten signs. It's kinda dark inside, even though there are tons of windows and the place seems like it could use a deep clean - not because it's 'dirty' but because the surfaces seem to be coated in a thin film of grease / oil which can happen over time in, in a small space like this. Customer Service Upon entering, there were two employees seated at the table, eating. The girl stopped eating and stared at me. The dude, turned around and looked at me. I stared back at them and they quickly turned their attention back to their food. I'm not sure - but I think its some sort of cultural thing for Latino people to not greet customers. Whatever it is - it can be somewhat off-putting. I went to the register and there wasn't a cashier (I'm assuming one of the seated employees was the cashier) and the cook had his back to me. I stood there for two or three minutes looking at the menu and wondering how to get his attention without seeming rude. Finally, just as I was about to shout, "Excuse me," he put his spatula down and approached the counter. He smiled and asked what he could get for me. He wasn't surprised when he turned to see me standing there. It appeared that he knew I was there all along. I guess he was giving me time to peruse the menu. Food Remember those menus I mentioned previously? Well I'd had a good bit of time to study them, but I still somehow missed the tacos, so I asked about them. He said they had tacos - they were "around $3 each" and he tapped on a sign to show me the various meat options (chicken, beef, chorizo, tongue, pork, you name it, the offer it). When I asked if I could get flour tacos, he said the taco tortillas were small (street tacos) and the only large tortillas they had were used for burritos and quesadillas. I went with the a chicken quesadilla and fries instead of beans and rice. My chicken quesadilla was 'ok' - nothing to rave about. A few pieces of gristle but not terrible. My french fries were tiny little bits and pieces as though they were the remnants from a bag that should have been tossed. He'd also dropped them directly from he piping hot grease, into my styrofoam container without putting down any wax paper or foil, so most of them melted through the container and fell out into the bag - while the others that remained wound up coated in a melted styrofoam. Yum. Price / Value This wasn't a great value. The quesadilla is about half the portion you'd get from Casa Grande or other sit down restaurants and the fries were inedible. I also think I might have been overcharged. It appears that I was charged for the quesadilla meal AND an order of french fries instead of being charged for just the meal, with fries as a substitution. I know post pandemic food pricing is off the chain, but personally, I think $3 is too much for a street taco - unless it premium meats and toppings. Or unless I'm dining somewhere really upscale where everything is pristine and gorgeous. They did have a deal that came with 5 tacos, beans and rice for $8.99. Or it might have even been 8 tacos, I'm not sure - I can't remember. I just remember thinking that it seemed like the price was too good to be true if those same tacos, ala carte, are a whopping $3. As a first generation Cuban-American born and raised in Miami and married to a Cuban man, I am happy to report that Cuban Diner is the real deal. This is authentic Cuban food that is as good as the Cuban food easily found all over Miami. We started with croquetas and mariquitas. I ordered the bistec empanizado, hubby ordered the vaca frita, my son ordered the ropa vieja, my MIL orders the palomilla, and my FIL ordered a papa rellena and tamal along with a natural guava juice. We all shared bites of our plates with each other and everyone agreed that everything was absolutely delicious. My favorite was the vaca frita, so I stole a good bit from hubby and I also loved my FIL's guava juice. Service was good, but we got there shortly after opening so we had the place to ourselves. We noticed as it got busier, service definitely slowed considerably, but there was only one server for the whole place and one more handling to go orders. The one server did a fantastic job despite being the only one for multiple tables, but I did notice one couple left in frustration when they were not attended in a timely manner. I loved that they offer a total of 3 sides with the entrees, so you don't have to compromise on sides. I really enjoyed our meal and will be back to try more things on their menu soon. I definitely recommend Cuban Diner, but urge you to pack your patience if you go when there is a crowd. The good news is that the food will be well worth the wait!

About the parking: the food hall is located adjacent to the railroad tracks on the opposite side from Marietta. This is fine unless there is a train. Even then, it appeared they had a pedestrian walkway over the tracks, but we didn't use it. The lot itself is public and appears cobbled together from where they razed former buildings. There are more like 3 - 4 separate lots that are interlinked at odd places. I think 2 of them were not joined at all, so depending on how close you want to park, you should try the lot with an entrance in front of the food hall. Payment was via texting a number or an app. They talked about validation, and I made 2 attempts to do that. One involved letting them see my location (which purported to give me 2 hours for free) and the other involved scanning a QR code at various locations in the hall (which took me to a web page for auto parts...). You can park here for 2 - 3 hours for somewhere under $9 at worst. And so, we finally enter the actual food hall. It is sort of a maze of indoor 'alleys' where you find restaurant counters, plus a main indoor plaza area with seating and more restaurant counters. You can check the website for specific places, but they had burgers, pizza, sushi, gyros, Cuban sandwiches, Asian bao buns, a coffee place, Cajun food, some dessert-oriented outlets, etc. There is enough variety to please most any party. I was planning on getting a Philly, but the place I went had a special on a gyro-and-fries for $11, so I went with that. It was good. Others in our group got a selection of buns, gumbo, and sushi. Everyone seemed to like the food. As for seating, they have a large number of cafeteria-style long tables in the main plaza. It was crowded, but we were able to immediately find space for 4 people without feeling crowded by the next group down the table. Saturday around noon after youth sports events may be their peak time, but I don't know. While Marietta has plenty of restaurants, if you want a possibly quicker and cheaper option while visiting, this place may be worth checking out.
