Visited for my birthday in April, first time there. Nice place, very clean, nothing too fancy. But…read morelet's be realistic, a restaurant is about its food. Both the server and the owner were really nice and professional. Got a few different dishes to try a little bit of everything. Tried the ceviche, it was excellent down to the details. Even tasted a hint of ginger in the juice it is served in. A tiny detail but it sets it a step above most other places who don't bother. Also had the Papa a la huancaina which was very good! Had a tamal as well which was exactly what it should be, if not a bit on the small side compared to other places. For the main course I had the steak with two sides and it was perfect. The steak was cooked perfectly and was tender as can be. It was cooked perfectly medium as requested. Got fried yucca and fried plantains for the sides, both were very good. There were many other sides that were available to suit your preferences. Anyone who is in the area needs to give this place a try. It may not be the food you are used to but it offers many really good flavors. Nothing is oddly spiced that would be an issue for super picky eaters. I highly recommend checking it out if you are from the area, gambling at the casino or just traveling through. You will absolutely not be disappointed.

You can instantly tell how prideful the owner is and it shows in the food! We had arroz chaufa con pollo, lomo saltado con tallarines a la huancaina and bistec à lo pobre. Everything was tasteful and reminded me of Peru. I'm so glad to have found a Peruvian restaurant near by that actually has tasty Peruvian food.

Oh my gosh this place was soooooo good. So good my son covered himself in their pasta…read more We are visiting from out of town and this place caught our eye. If we loved here im sure we'd be regulars. My mother-in-law and I had the kebab (chicken and steak) and I forgot what the men had... the plantains were amazing, the chicken was SO tender and the Brussels sprouts were amazing. I had the house marg and it was 1/2 off, so of course I and to get two... The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the fried corn, it was kind of like the puffed up popcorn rhay doesn't pop all the way. It wasn't bad, but I think they had other better options.

It all started with an empty restaurant. Then the server's uninspired approach to our table…read more Drinks were good and came out in a reasonable amount of time. Ordered the Empanada tasting which is one steak, chicken and sausage. A few minutes later the u inspired server brings 2 of the same flavor when there should have been 3 different flavors. The manager corrected the issue and we started tasting and sampling and quickly realized that there wasn't much flavor to any of them and the sauce tasted like it had sat open in the refrigerator for weeks. One bite of each was enough to stop eating them! Then along came dinner..... Lomo Saltado and it was more disappointing than the appetizers! The steak chunks were not seasoned, the dish was very dry and the fries and vegetables were not seasoned. This meal doesn't even rate 1 star and they should be ashamed of their service and products!! Overall my review says don't eat at Mayta's!! It was a complete waste of money and time!! Horrible service and food!!

What a wonderful find on the road. If you are looking for a food adventure, a chance to step…read moreoutside your usual fare then this is the place. Comfortable dining room and great service on top of lots of delicious food choices that I imagine most of us don't frequently see. I enjoyed everything I had (see my pictures for my choices) and I am already planning on making Chambersburg a stop on my return trip home. Maybe I will get there early enough to try the rotisserie chicken.

The restaurant is in a little strip mall with 4-5 other restaurants, and I bet any of the other restaurants would have been a better choice. Inka Kitchen looked the fanciest on the outside with its seating area and fresh hanging flower baskets outside. I ordered a water with lemon. Sorry, no lemon, is lime okay? I also ordered an Inka cola. Sorry, we only have 2 liters, no individual servings. Then I ordered a 1/2 chicken with fried plantains & black beans. Sorry, no Peruvian chicken and the plantains are not sweet. The Peruvian restaurant did not have Peruvian chicken or fried plantains. So, I settled for a burrito bowl. I could not have been more disappointed. The chicken was tasteless but salty and tough/dry. There was a tablespoon of black beans, some diced tomatoes, definitely NOT pico de gallo, four slices of avocado, no guacamole, no sour cream. The other person had a quesadilla which they said was okay. So, how the restaurant has a 4.7 review is BEYOND me.

It is located in a group of strip malls full of dining options. There is some patio seating and inside there are booths and tables. It is pretty plain looking like a typical walk in order place. You ordered at the counter from a list of meals with their picture and price above it. I got the half chicken with rice and black beans. I sat at a booth and literally, the food was brought to my table in 10 minutes. The chicken was moist and absolutely delicious. The beans and rice were on point. Especially after adding some of the habanero sauce. If you are in the area definitely stop in.

I was looking for something quick and close for lunch 0.5 miles from work, no one in line when I walked in. I took a bit to figure out what to order and decided on a 1/2 chicken 1/4 white and 1/4 dark, yucca, and, red salsa for my sides with an addition of slaw. It comes with two mayo mixed dipping sauces and a green salsa that has a nice refreshing flavor and only a little heat. The sides: Coleslaw - Nice flavor, not too sweet, well balanced with its flavor, texture and moisture. Yucca - A nice crunch, probably would have been even better if I ate there and not drove back to work. The yucca is dry and for me it does need the dipping sauce or maybe even a hot sauce. Salsa - refreshing. The chicken was delicious, tender and juicy. The dark more than the white but the white was by no means dry. What a great place. By the time I got my order (less than 5 minutes) there was a line out the door.
