I'm not a gym person but every now and then when traveling I have no choice but to get my reps in at a gym. This a large gym with a open layout. There quite a few cardio/treads, and weight machines. I am more into free weights and floor work. There is barely 40 sq ft allocated for this. There is a larger space adjacent thats roofed off for personal training only. There are lockers rooms with showers and sauna, pretty dingy. Post workout I checked out the smoothie bar and the worker does not speak a lick of english. Do better LA fitness. read more

Beware of the Kid's Klub. My 4 year old daughter came out like this after being dragged by the arm all over the floor by a kid 3x her size. I was not called or notified until I was told by her upon picking her up. She was in the corner crying & shaking without being separated or tended to & now has visible scarring. They have a separate room for the small children but do not keep them there, so your baby can be in the same room as a 12 year old with no cameras per the facility & one caretaker for up to 10 children. To admit a mistake and take responsibility is to be a good human. Unfortunately, you will not find that here. For the last several weeks, I have tried, without success, to get the leadership staff at this location to reverse charging the same account twice. I have spoken to Igdaliz Chaparro and Michelle Vega on several occasions. I have tried reaching out to corporate. I have tried contacting LA Fitness on their socials. All to no avail. These are rotten, lying, unethical, immoral crooks. Plain and simple. Despite admitting fault, they have dodged and not returned phone calls, and refuse to take responsibility. Support businesses that do better. That do the right thing. I'm planning to join Amped - it's cheaper and from what I can tell facilities are comparable. Update -- someone from corporate called me back and promised to refund a portion of the annual fee and clear the double charge... we'll see if they actually make good on their promise. read more

This gym is a mess. No one re racks their weights, management puts up signs saying they will close off sections yet they don't enforce their rules. Staff doesn't clean or organize. I literally gone at opening and found weights in the same spot they were the night before. They have this one trainer in particular who is super loud and screams to her "friends" while everyone is working out. Besides all this, machines break and take forever for repairs, the gym is consistently over crowded with people doing 1000000 sets or them focusing on their phones on instead of moving along. I've been coming to this location for a little over a year and don't really have much complaints. Yes sometimes some of the machines are out of order but I've found this the case for every LA I've been to. I mostly come here for the group classes and I've found them to be very good. Body Works with Abs on Monday night with Garfield is amazing. I love starting my week with this workout and although it's not easy he's great at motivating everyone. Mat Pilates on Tuesday and Thursday mornings are also a new favorite. Milagros is great at instructing the class in both Spanish and English and is so funny and I always leave with a huge smile on my face. Power Circuit on Thursday nights with Lina is another great and hard class. You will definitely leave sweating but she keeps it fun. My one complaint is that I really do miss the yoga they had Wednesday nights. It was the main reason I joined and I'm hoping they bring it back. read more

Out of all the LA fitness gyms I go to this is def the cleanest. Everything is fairly new and I normally see a custodian walking around cleaning. The people however follow no directions. Typical Miami. If there's one exit they enter from there. If they aren't supposed to touch or sit somewhere they use it. The front desk people depends on who's there. Sometimes there is no one there. Sometimes they say hi sometimes not. There's a huge area for personal training only. The area is massive. Every time I have gone there are two people there with trainers. For such a large space they should of cut it in half to give regular guests some mat space. I go because I have a membership but it's not the best gym out there. read more

As much as I write about food, I need to share another one of my great loves and that is -working out daily. If I failed to consistently engage in this practice, I would be a fatty rolling around Miami. Kudos to all the gyms and facilities that are open at sunrise and remain open till 11 pm on most days. When I exercise, I almost feel like I've earned those delicious meals. It has been part of my routine for the last 20 years. I've also got a personal trainer "Nini" who helps me take fitness to the next level. Check out her Instagram page at Nini_fit. So today, I give my gym, 4/5 thumbs up for being open late at night, having multiple elliptical, cardio and strength training machines, sauna, pool and jacuzzi and plenty of parking. They've also got a Lifestyle cafe stocked with smoothies, healthy snacks and other goodies! LA staff just a kind reminder to keep your antibacterial dispenser and paper stocked for all the germaphobes like me. I'm grateful we have these facilities close to home. read more

I've been to numerous La Fitness gyms across Florida, Arizona, and California....this one is by far the worst I've experienced. Like most of the La Fitness's in Miami, it's overcrowded. They have no controls on membership so good luck getting a decent, structured workout unless you go in at off times during the week. Additionally the people that go to this gym have zero etiquette ...dumbells are all over the place, no one re-racks the weights, its common for people to stay at the same weights station or machine for 20 plus minutes with no regard to others--in a packed gym. And ultimately the staff does nothing to correct this--other than continue to recruit more members. Lastly the locker room showers, sinks, and the plumbing in general are desperately needing renovations (that will likely never happen). Avoid this La Fitness unless you have no other option. Try the one at Bird Road or Kendall for a much better experience If you have to use LA Fitness in Miami at all. read more

as somebody who used to work at LA, the reviews here are very unrealistic especially because the people commenting are the ones who don't put their weights back .... but anyway, the staff puts the weights away and then 5 mins later the weights are all over the place. I used to do it myself and I've seen the staff here do it as well. i also was present when a member was yelling and screaming making a scene at the front desk staff about the weights which also is incorrect and not the way to put in a complaint. the staff is also all young 18-26 year olds who get paid $11 an hour. just had to leave a review as i felt bad for the staff after somebody gave them a horrible time about the weights. if the people of this gym want the weights racked and not all over the place, then help and rerack them when you are done. read more

Back to Covid: it's not enough to require mask upon entry. At least one-third of guests were showing their noses, and I saw mouths too. Too many selfish, ignorant Maskholes!!! (Yes, if you are like this then you're why I can't work out here). I only use this facility to swim, which feels safe, but i would recommend against anything in the main room, where people are too close together and many aren't properly masked. I have been attending the aquafit classes at this center but unfortunately cannot keep going since the jaccuzzi and the Aquafit class pool has so much chlorine that the strong smell is making me short of breath. I have gone to my pulmonologist and cardiologist and they say my lungs and heart are in perfect shape. It is the exaggeration of chlorine and being so enclosed with not one door open to release these harmful fumes for the elderly which are the ones mainly in dire need of these aquatic exercises. read more

This LA Fitness is more spacious than most of the ones in Miami -- lots of equipment and room to work out. That's the only positive though. The locker rooms and plumbing are a wreck, and there seems to be zero urgency to fix it. I've been in there 7-8 times and there's always a urinal and/or two or more stalls out of service, broken lockers, etc.. Bottom line if you're gonna work out here, skip the locker rooms. They need a complete renovation...which is strange considering the gym is always packed. So revenue for updates shouldn't be a problem. I don't recommend this gym unless it's the only convenient option. read more

I wanted to write this review cause the pool for the aquatics class in LA Fitness t 9201 W. Flagler Street, Miami, Fl has the heater broken for now two weeks and going for more to come. Elderly seniors need the aquatic exercises desperately and cannot discontinue for so many weeks. The muscle mass and the back spinal water exercises are mainly needed by all who trend the class. I am super upset and disgusted after calling corporate offices and they say it's been ordered. There are local people that sell the heater for the pool. With all the money they receive in memberships is ridiculous to have to order from China or some other place abroad, especially during the holidays which is very slow deliveries. I am disgusted senior citizen that knows the elderly are being neglected. If I could give it ZERO stars I would. read more

LA fitness what a dump of a gym. The Bathroom always has issues, toilets flood and they never clean it in a timely manner(it smells like straight Feces). A lot the equipment has not been Maintain, and is not useable. The weights are always scattered everywhere. The membership allows 2 guest free, and that's probably the main reason people don't care about the gym. The only reason I use this gym, it's because it my best worst option. Everybody is a "manager", I went in to see the place and Christopher didn't want to show me the place, said that he has always been the general manager when indeed he is not. Ana Remond, the "manager" is completely unprofessional. I have been a member for 10 years and brought my vip guest on the 14th day of their 14 day pass. I took my kid into the kids club and walked out to meet my friend who was getting checked in by this lady, Ana. Ana denied her entry to the gym unless i added her to my account. I asked her if an exception could be made considering that I checked in my son and it was technically her 14th day. She said no, I took my kid out And called corporate to confirm if access should have been denied. Corporate was surprised by her unprofessional behavior and I left disappointed at how desperate she must have been for a sale. read more

I don't go to any of the group classes so i couldn't know if they are good or not but I do know they offer several ones and at different times. They are also open 7 days a week and tend to open for several hours most holidays. Cons: oh well, from monday to friday is almost impossible to finish a workout in 1h, unless you go only to use two machines. Ot os just way too full. I am hoping it gets better when they open the new one on Bird Road. Also, it is very disorganized. It makes it very hard to find a pair of matching dumbbells. Bottom line: if you add up the time it can take you to find parking and the time you wait for a machine it will make the trip to the gym not worthy. A couple of months ago I started avoiding this location from M-F. I would go and then leave in a matter of mins. The frustration was unmeasurable.
