The ingredients weren't something I'd expect in a regular pizza but it was very tasty. The pizza dough itself was also top notch. I tried the pasta and arancini and they were also flavourful. I definitely would recommend this for a relaxing brunch spot!

The focaccia bread alone was just okay, not much rosemary or oil flavor, but I think the spread had all the flavor. Amazing and worth $6.

La Forchetta was an okay experience: a 2 or 3 out of 5. The male waiter we had was a little strange in his mannerisms. He was always rushing too quickly; for example, right after sitting down before we had a chance to look at the menu he asks directly "would like you like some wine?" (nothing about "would you like some water to start?"). He also took away the glasses and plates way too quickly: he would clear out a plate or glass while another person at our table was clearly still eating. Very rude and I'm surprised the manager has not caught onto this. The dessert (tira misu and semifreddo) were not good. The only dish that was good was the "Orecchiette Con Salsiccia Di Cinghiale" with the wild boar sausage. Dined here on Jan 4, 2011 for dinner. At 8pm, a few days past New Year, a Tuesday, the place was a third filled, where many in the strip were empty or not even open. A truly great experience. The food excellent - we shared the Goat Cheese Filled Portobello Cap, the warm goat cheese - fantastic, I had the Australian Rack of Lamb - cooked to perfection, my date had Strozzapreti con Pollo - the chic peas don't do much for me aside from the texture, but the sauce was great, for desert we shared the Tiramisu, I think they must have given us a double portion. Everything was done to perfection, the portions were more then enough and the service was excellent. I highly recommend the La Forchetta's Sicilian Rolls as an appetizer. Very cheesy and delicious! The pasta tasted very fresh, however I found it very generic. I certainly ordered the best for last because the chocolate cake was absolutely delicious - so warm, rich and creamy. The service was very attentive and friendly. However, I found it a bit odd as they took away dinner plates and glasses as some people were still eating. They also delivered our desserts one after the other? Who could have possibly imagined that Shiitake mushrooms over a warm polenta cake could be such a sensory delight - and with a magical balsamic drizzle, that would normally feel forced but somehow elevates textures and flavors. Smoked chicken pasta is sauced expertly (and includes black chick peas - a must try), as is the unusual sea-bass penne. Risottos are perfect in the mouth (isn't so much about texture) with clever flavor combinations including duck with artichoke and an expertly matched mushroom combo with porcini broth. Oh, and eat desert, especially tiramisu which although is a ubiquitous Italian restaurant staple is so light and happy here. read more

I recently went here with my husband for our anniversary. It was the middle of the week so not busy and made for a quiet more intimate meal. Our server was friendly and not pushy, which is always appreciated. I had the duck risotto and my husband had the Atlantic salmon. Both were perfectly cooked and delicious.
