Ugh I dream of this cookie daily. Sadly Breckenridge is over 2 hours away and I can't just have this place readily available. A girl can dream (thankfully it saves me from gaining 10 pounds!). I got the birthday blast cookie and it was heavenly. The frosting is pretty sweet, but at the same time, I think it was nicely balanced with the m&ms and the cookie base itself. I was able to save this cookie sandwich for a few days and took bites throughout the week. It was honestly pretty inexpensive for what you get! I think this is significantly better than Crumbl. And it's a local business! It's super small and you probably have to wait in lines in the summer or during peak tourist season. But I got it super fast so I didn't really notice any issues. My biggest problem was deciding on a flavor! There were so many good options but I'm just one girl!!! How am I to decide? But yeah, because it's small there isn't any seating inside. Delicious! Over the course of our trip to Breck, we stopped by twice. First time, we got the buy 6, got 2 free so we could sample a bunch of them, second time we just got a couple for the trip home. Salted caramel, lemon blueberry, cranberry white chocolate - everything was so yummy. I love soft cookies and these did not disappoint. They are huge - I had to eat pieces at a time. Not overly sweet, by sweet. I didn't love the cookie sandwiches as much - the cookies were more than enough. We were walking around Brackenridge and started to smell baked cookies from a distance. As we walk closer there is a long line at Mountain Top Cookie Shop. We thought, it's a long line so these cookies must be good and legit! We stood in the line for about 30 mins and then we ordered 6 cookies because you get 2 free... the cookies look legit but when we got back to our rental, we were surprisingly disappointed. The macadamia nut white chocolate cookie tasted like the nuts were old and stale. Have you ever taste an old nut and it's oily taste ? That's what it tasted like. The white chocolate did not melt and it was undetected. The other cookies...all were bad! Super disappointing. Note the service was really bad and all the employees look generally miserable and unhappy. The cookie shop is really small and crammed. The value of these cookies did not live up to it. They were big and looked deceivingly good but the quality was terrible. Do I recommend this place? No. Don't be fooled by the long lines. Service is terrible. Cookies are terrible. read more

I finally came here (after many years of coming to Breckenridge) per a friend's recommendation. I am glad I came here when I was hungry for something sweet. The actual shop is very small. The line to order was actually out the door, but the wait went by very quickly. I think of this cookie shop as "vibes" because there is music jamming, and the guy was just making bags of cookies based upon orders! I am glad that I waited to eat my cookies till I got home and warmed them in the microwave. The cookies were delicious and extra delicious because they were melted and gooey from being heated up. The summer months, this place has great cookies. They always have ice cream so you can get an ice cream sandwich and they are so good! In the winter, the hot chocolate is fantastic. They have so many different types of hot chocolate too. Of course they have the classic, but also white chocolate, dark chocolate, s'mores, toffee nut and something called unicorn rainbow.
