The service was good, the man was friendly however the food was really sad. $4 for cheese dip that you could only dip the tip of the chip in because the bowl was so small and not deep at all. When he brought out the queso that ruined the whole experience for me right away but I still gave it a chance. The food didn't come out right and was bad, the quesadillas tasted so bland and like it was cheap cheese put on it, the rice had a weird taste too. nothing about it was good to me. The cheese dip was the worst, almost $5 for a small and $10 for a large and when I tell you it was ridiculously small it's not an exaggeration. Dinner yesterday, got there before the rush! Three HUGE groups came in after us, whew! We were seated immediately, then had time to look over the menu. A gal near us was server a sizzling fajita that smelled delicious! We got our drinks, chips and salsa really quickly. Salsa was the kind I like, less chunky, but spicy. I ordered the taquitos, hubby got the burrito Mexican (grilled steak and chicken) The service was FAST, food was hot and delicious. It wasn't the cleanest, but the food was awesome. Always s great place for good Mexican food at a great price. I got the taco loco chicken sour cream guacamole lettuce cooked to perfection with a nice crunchy large shell for seven dollars. This is about as good as it gets on this side of town. The food is generally good and very typical fare. It isn't too expensive and the atmosphere is pretty boring. The parking lot is the worst in Albany. I cannot really think of a worse parking lot around this area. I had a burrito and a taco on my last visit. It was tasty. The chips and salsa were pretty good, too. I believe this restaurant has been reset on Yelp. I know I have reviewed this place before because I mentioned how strong their margaritas are. Very friendly staff. Everyone seems to know everyone. Their queso dip is delicious! It was my first time having queso dip and I'm very glad I did. I don't know how this place is still here. My wife and I had dinner here before and it was terrible. I usually like to give a place another chance, so I had an opportunity to eat here again. The first time we had the burrito supreme and enchilada rancheros. They were both ehh, and what was common with both was the old tomatoes and greasy plates. The second time was lunch and I had their lunch special of a burrito and taco with rice. Again it was just ehh, and tasted very salty. My coworker had a chile relleno and taco with beans and a salad. At first glance, I had no idea what it was. When they told me, I was shocked. I wish I would've taken a picture, but it looked like slop. He was only able to eat about a quarter of it before getting sick. There are better places to get Mexican food, even if you go to taco bell. read more

Based on other reviews I was so looking forward to this restaurant. The good, food was great, prices were reasonable. Not so great was the service. I've seen more personality in a robot. The big problem though is the check. They used hand-written tags with no prices. When we got our bill would you pay at a register, we have been overcharged $4.28 when I figure this out and complained about it the server got angry threw up his hands was very rough with the cash register and slapped $3 back on the counter and gave me an ugly look. We're regulars here. It is conveniently located to both the Expressway and Hwy 82 traffic coming from I-75. Near the Marine Base, too. I always get the chimichanga which is excellent - if you go at lunch, there is even a lunch special for it. I have also tried the fried burrito which is also great. My teens love it, as does husband. My son gets chili relleno or enchilada -- he loves everything there. My daughter always gets a burrito, rice, and beans which she loves. My husband gets something that has a few different items on it - like a sampler. We've been going for years and never had a bad meal or a problem. Always great! I travel for work so I'm writing this review in comparison to restaurants outside of town as well. I enjoyed the food at this Mexican joint and I would come back. I thought the guacamole was disappointing though. The interior was clearly aging and a little sad. And nothing in particular was outstanding. I did think the chips were tasty and the food is plentiful. I would recommend eating there instead of carrying out since they will refill your chips and salsa.
