Al Pastor Tacos Plate
Gabriel M.

The staff here were super friendly and nice. The food was authentic as can be! I ate all my food and ordered tacos to go to eat for dinner later that day. The restaurant itself was clean and spacious as well. I really enjoyed my lunch here and definitely recommend to anyone else - whether you're a local or a visitor (from another city, state, or planet), they won't miss.

Papas Victoria with carne adasa

Food was really good, price was great for how much food there was. Was in and out fairly fast.

OVERALL La Gran Victoria won my heart as one of my favorite overall restaurants in Roswell... so glad I found it! RATING BREAKDOWN Food: 5 | Service: 4 | Ambiance: 4 | Price: 4 PARKING Street parking is free. I didn't read the signs, but this is kind of in the downtown Roswell area so beware of any possible street sweeping days, etc. LOCATION/AMBIANCE The alien statue and the vibrant colors would have drew me in if I had not already had this on my bookmarks. The ambiance is inviting with a semi-separated dining area with various table sizes. I took my burrito to go for a long trek to Colorado, but I would have a meal with my bestie here any time of the day because... margaritas and the first round of chips & salsa are complimentary! THE GRUB Their menu seems to have quite an assortment of Mexican food options. They also have weekly specials on their menu board when you first walk in. However, on 4/6/2023 I was craving something called the rajas con queso with carne asada added in ($9.68). It's a regular menu item, but I would eat this for breakfast if I could. If you like cheese, this is the meal for you - and it is a hefty burrito! I'm not entirely sure what all this restaurant puts in theirs, but the "rajas" is supposedly "strips" of poblano peppers. "Queso" definitely refers to cheese... this burrito was served piping hot with so much gooey, melted cheese with very tender carne asada - so good! They also put a couple of salsas on the side in my bag. Much appreciated because it helped turn up the spicy heat. This burrito is completely delicious all on its own, though. LITTLE YELPER'S CLUB I didn't have my kids in tow so I'm not aware if they have a kid's menu. SERVICE Friendly & welcoming. Just a little slow getting my single item out & they didn't really explain the rajas con queso that well. Just that it was one of their favorites and was a cheesier burrito. Lol. MY FAVORITE PART... The rajas con queso y carne asada burrito! NOT SO FAVORITE PART... The menu is a bit confusing and didn't have on there that you could add carne asada to the rajas con queso burrito. Otherwise, it doesn't have meat. TIP - There is a 3% fee to use plastic payment.

Very fresh Mexican food. Calm music. First round of chips and salsa on the house. Nice, home made guacamole. I also enjoyed the shrimp tacos. The taco shell quality was very nice. I also thoroughly enjoyed the beans and rice that came with the four tacos. Everything was spiced well, I have a higher tolerance for spice and didn't find it too intense.

Today I came to this establishment with Thing One and a friend. We were just stopping through on our way to Albuquerque... We each ordered a menu item to ensure that we received a full sampling of the menu. Fajita Plate I ordered this item that came with shrimp, carne asada and chicken as proteins. The shrimp on the dish was okay (definitely not fresh, but I am in New Mexico and no where close to an ocean, so I didn't expect it to be). The chicken and carne were flavorful getting much of its pep from the caramelized onions and green chillies. Carne Asada fries Thing One ordered this menu item and devoured it. The fries were pilled high with tender carne and fresh guacamole. This appetizer turned into meal was not only filling for my beast of a teenager but nicely executed. The service was prompt and friendly and I shall return in if in the area. #supportlocal

Service was great. Got my usually chicken fajitas. The chicken was good because it was not dry. I was not a fan of the tortillas as I do not prefer thick corn type ones. The salsa was a little too spicy and runny. All that being said, I would come back again if I was ever in Rosewell.

An excellent experience all around. These are really nice folks that provide great service and high quality food, even the local police eat here.

Had an amazing meal here, authentic Mexican in a cheerful and fun atmosphere. We enjoyed the chicaronnes as an appetizer and they literally come to the table hot and still crackling! The combo platter was a great way to taste the taco, enchilada, etc. and all were delicious. Service was prompt and efficient.

Chicken quesadilla

Very happy I stopped here. Good food, great service, green chili was on point. Chicken quesadilla was very good. Clean spot w soft music in background, just a block off the main road through town.

Stuffed pablano.. so good.

I had the Picadillo and Eggs and this was great - well spiced ground beef with a side of eggs, this arrived with potatoes and tortillas. HAIR IN OUR FOOD As a Yelp Elite Member, I take my reviews…read moreseriously and always aim to be fair. I don't like giving bad reviews, but this experience left me disgusted and disappointed. The food was good, and everyone in our group enjoyed their meals. We even packed up leftovers to take home. But just as we were finishing, my grandson's mother noticed a thick, coarse hair on his plate. Finding a hair in food is always stomach-turning, but discovering it after I had already eaten made it worse. It made me wonder: What else did I miss? I showed the hair to our server, who immediately removed the plate--and to be fair, I could tell the hair wasn't from her. The issue was how management handled it: a 10% discount and zero real concern. No apology from a manager, no real effort to make it right--just a small discount and moving on. That response left a bad taste in my mouth. Had it not been for the hair, I would have rated this place 4 stars. The restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was casual, and the food was enjoyable. But the way this was handled knocked my rating down to 2 stars. We were so put off that, even though our leftovers were packed and ready to go, we left them behind. I debated between 1 and 2 stars but settled on 2 because the food itself was good. That said, this experience made it impossible to recommend this place.

Service was great and I loved our waitress, she was super friendly and made sure our coffees were full and our meal was good. This was our first meal at Roswell and it was SO good for a small-town breakfast cafe. It was also our first daytime experience with the touristy Alien decor via their window painting. Breakfast Quesadilla: With hashbrowns and beans. My friend loved this and destroyed it. I tried a quesadilla and it tasted amazing. Carne Asada: I got this plate and just based on the high quality of the rice and beans I knew the meat would be good. The rice and beans were seriously some of the best I've had in awhile and when the tortilla came in its own container I knew the meat and tortilla would be amazing as well. This was a decadent breakfast for me and tasted great.
