Mexican food that comes with french fries. lol I do have to say the Carne Asada quesadilla was wonderful The three taco dinner with premade taco shells was not The Carne Asada dinner was very good. It came with french fries which was very strange and we came with one tortilla, which was a bit odd but the portion size and the amount of food was perfect. I am from San Diego so am I custom to eating lots of Mexican food and this almost hit the spot The service was wonderful. They spoke English and took the order perfectly with no mistakes. I feel like I failed all of you Yelpers by not taking any food or menu pictures, this place needs more! If you stop in here, add pictures please! We ate here for breakfast on Sunday morning on our way to Carlsbad. They have a breakfast buffet that lots of people were eating from. But we opted to order from the menu. I bet if we were local and had the opportunity to stop in more, we would also have eaten off the buffet, everything looked yummy. We watched food constantly come from the kitchen to replenish what was being eaten. Always nice to see freshly cooked food hit a buffet. One kiddo ordered the pancake breakfast and ate sooooo much food. The bigger kiddo went for the French toast breakfast. My wife ordered a bean and cheese burrito and a chorizo, egg and cheese burrito. Sounds like a lot of food right???? It was!!!! In her defense, she thought she was just ordering two tacos! hahaha But these burritos were massive and very very cheap. I ordered the asado and eggs. I am not really one to clean my plate....but my plate was CLEAN. I even sopped up that delicious red sauce with tortillas when all the meat was gone! Incredible. I probably ate a smidge too much for having a long drive ahead of me. I just couldn't stop myself!!! Also, those homemade tortillas were the best. If I am ever close to Roswell again, I will find myself back at Amigos! It was super yummy!!! You know a place is legit when it is packed with locals! read more

I went here for breakfast and to my pleasant surprise, it was a serve yourself buffet.! With fresh Meudo and all the sides. Caritas in a red sauce, add your own eggs, which they also had..! The only thing missing were tortillas..! Service was good, my drink wasn't ever empty and the price was perfect, under $10..! I was hunting for good NM food while visiting family and went to at least two other popular places (won't call them out but I'm sure you know which ones they are... ahem overpriced) before finding this gem. They had the most flavorful and delicious NM/Mexican food I've had in a while and that says a lot. I highly recommend. The people are friendly and the place is kept clean. We were disappointed that the young lady that was our server may not have a had the best mentorship in how to serve customers and check on them and give them updates when there is a significant delay in food delivery. 35 minutes. However, the prices are more than reasonable and the portions are generous. All the staff that we met were very cheerful. Staff made one feel they were happy to see you.
