First time at Los Cerritos in Roswell NM. You know a restaurant is good when the parking lot is packed . There's a line and a wait. You dont get sick and there's a baby at the barlol they were packed and she was eating between her parents there. But seriously the food was amazing! We had tacos! Plus the Tableside guacamole. 10/10 read more

I had the asado breakfast plate and wow it was delicious. The servers were great and recommended I try the asado over the huevo rancheros or the chilaquiles. The spot was pretty empty when I visited to I was seated and served quickly but they've got ample room for large parties. The wood work on the booths is a nice touch. I didn't get a photo of my food, I just went for it. I'm in roswell for another day so I'm going to try to come back tomorrow. read more

I didn't realize they had taco Tuesday going on. .99 cent ground beef tacos. Luckily someone was pulling out when I grabbed there spot. There was a long long line but when I walked up to the stand I noticed the bar was pretty empty so I asked about sitting there and ordering Togo. It was good so I sat down and looked over the menu. This lovely young lady waited on me. I ordered the 3 item combo, 2 chili rellenos and an enchilada with rice and beans. I ordered 3 crispy shredded beef tacos with rice and beans for my wife. I asked for the hot red sauce. It also came with a bag of tortilla chips. While I was waiting she offered some chips and salsa which I passed on. I ordered a root beer but changed up to a frozen mango margarita with salt and lime. Machine made ones aren't usually tht good but this one sure had some tequila and was might tasty. My order came out before I finished my drink but of course I had to finish it. My stuff was really good. Not like the replenish im use to but tasty as was the enchilada. Salsa had a nice bite. My wife's tacos were great as well. The ambiance was definitely a Mexican vibe. If I lived here I'd be doing the taco tursdays. read more

The service is top notch. The chips aren't too bad. The salsa has the quality of coming out of a jar and yet was better than the food. The rice was dry and looked old. I barely touched it. The beans tasted like they were turning bad. The cheese in the enchiladas was not completely melted. We also ordered nachos which wasn't on the menu. They weren't too bad but I wouldn't recommend eating here if you want authentic Mexican food. I honestly think eating at taco bell would've been an improvement. Do yourself a favor and go over to Tacos Tortas Guadalajara if you want something yummy. I highly recommend. We are from out of town and ate here the second night. I was in Roswell for a long weekend to visit family and decided to give Los Cerritos a try. Man, I am glad I did! First of all, the salsa served with the chips was really good - the spice level was spot-on. The margarita (limon) was solid, but the star of the dinner was my order of Tacos De Camaros was fantastic - some of the best shrimp tacos I've ever tried. I went back two days later for lunch with a family member. I had a two item combination plate. The flautas were excellent, but even better was the enchilada with red sauce. I live out east now, and it's hard to get good enchiladas there, but this one brought me back to the way my grandmom made them when I was a kid. The red sauce hit all the right notes. Service on both visits was excellent, and the restaurant is a comfortable place to enjoy a meal! read more

My family and I came to this restaurant as we drove through Roswell seven years ago and the food was so good. We talked about over the years.. so of course we looked it up when we were passing through Roswell again. The restaurant is a lot more quiet than it was then. We didn't have to wait two hours to be sat on a Tuesday like we did back in 2018, but what hasn't changed is how good food is! I absolutely love being able to watch them make us fresh custom guacamole and our table . The food is excellent authentic and the portions are big enough that I'm taking half of my Chile Rellenos home. read more

The red sauce is very hot. The salsa that came with chips was delicious as was their rice. You MUST order sopapillas! They were the best ever. Excellent service too! Starter chips and salsa: The salsa was great. The only place I've had better is Enrique's in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Cerritos' salsa is the type I like. Most are watery. Not this stuff. I don't like the chunky kind either, as an appetizer. This was a perfect consistency. And it had the perfect amount of heat for yankee-transplants like us. I ended up buying a pint to go to. My only recommendation would be to sell it in jars so I could pack it in my carry on, ship it as gifts, etc. The chips were very good as well. Crispy. Non-greasy. A little salty for me, but I think everyone else likes a little salty w them. We were eating light so had senior meals. I had the Rellenos plate. I couldn't decide on red or green sauce so I took the servers advice and had both. She called it Christmas style. I still can't decide which one was better. Beans and rice were pretty much what you'd get at any restaurant, but I thought it was great because the chilies were really the show. Only $10.49 or something like that. Usually, with these type of plates, you get a really thick sauce that's mostly cheese. This is thinner with a lot more flavor. It was incredible. Sue had the enchilada plate for $10.99 and reports it was excellent as well. We've got a lot of great authentic Mexican food back home in Tulsa, including El Rancho Grande and Rio Verde. This is some of the best we've ever had. Beautiful chandelier with blown glass globes in the entry. Beautiful carved "headboards" over each booth. Charming and real servers and hostess who had real conversations w us. I'd give the experience 6 stars if I could. read more

Ate here for dinner last night and the food was meh. I'm a vegetarian and asked if the green chili was vegetarian and was told yes. It came out very gelatinous and stupid me ate it anyways believing it was vegetarian. I am now thinking it must have contained a lot of lard or something. That or it was the beans I was also told was vegetarian. Instantly I felt like there was a brick in my stomach and I didn't eat all that much. Over 12 hours later and I still feel it. My fiancé as well. I barely slept due to this and today am very sick to my stomach. I'm soo bummed as this is my one and only day in Roswell. I would have been happy to get the red sauce had I known. Vegetarians beware, either there was animal products in it or the food was just bad. read more

This place is legit! The queso dip and guacamole were a great start. BEST. HORCHATA. EVER. And we have tried a lot of horchata. No grittiness and literally tastes like rice pudding. We ordered the tacos Mexicanos with pastor. The seasoning was delicious, the spicy salsa had the perfect amount of heat, and the charro beans had an outstanding smoky taste. The carne asada burrito and combo fajitas were good too. Portions are large and prices are reasonable. Marina provided amazing service with thorough explanations of items and was very attentive. We came close to closing time but were not rushed. This is a no-brainer for the best Mexican food in Roswell! read more

Amazing. This restaurant was highly recommended on Trip Advisor as a "can't miss" dining experience in Roswell. It's authentic Mexican cuisine at its best! We came here for the famous .99 Taco Tuesday special and Los Cerritos didn't disappoint. Great food, fast service and fun and upbeat atmosphere and ambiance. Our waitress Nitza was very attentive and added to the experience with her pleasant and charming personality. It makes a great family night out and is quite inexpensive for her amount of food you get. If you're in Roswell please make time for dinner here after you've had your fill of aliens and UFOs. We've been traveling through New Mexico for a couple of days and started craving Mexican food. Saw the sign for Cerritos from the parking lot of our hotel. So glad we decided to give this place a try. The food was amazing! We started with chips and salsa, the salsa is the perfect consistency, not watery and not chunky. Great level of heat, too. For dinner, Hubby had the chimichanga with chicken and red sauce. The server warned him the sauce would be spicy and she wasn't kidding! I had the Asados plate. Delicious pork in red sauce. Our server was attentive and patient with us. The atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant, not overly loud. Highly recommend this place! read more
