Not too happy I bought 5 pupusas I asked for a little more of the curtido but I have to buy it so I said no I told them that it was my first time there and that someone recommended it. The pupusas OK not the best . I paid almost $30 And they couldn't give me just a little more curtido just to keep me happy. read more

I'm a very lucky girl. I've never come across a pupusa I didnt like. So when my out of town girlfriend Sofie suggested this place, I said mama I am on my way! Poor thing lives in New England far away from Salvadorian cuisine. My treat of course. I got good parking and called ahead and my order was ready when I arrived! The girl working behind the counter was a doll. Very efficient. The sauce in the plastic container is spicy for a guera like me. But I love the revueltas covered in sauce and Cole slaw. When you pay, Give them a big tip. These small businesses are what make Long Beach so special! Remember how you use your dollar is political- so let's keep it in the local economy. Found this hidden Gem in LB parking is street parking. Authentic El Salvadorian food!! Super fast service the place was packed , while walking in to be seated I couldn't help to watch everyone's plate and wanted to order everything. I couldn't stop eating ... now have food coma. read more

Very disappointed on this establishment.I was in the mood for some pupusas and came across this location. I went in and ordered got 2 pupusas with Bean and cheese and an order of plantain with sour cream and cheese. My order took over 30 min and when I got home the plantain were under cooked and the pupusas were dry with hardly if any cheese on them. I paid little over $26 which isn't cheap.I really regret my visit. read more

I just pick up an order a few mins ago, we order revueltas which is cheese and chicharrón when I open this thing there was only a small portion and no cheese. They hired new people so the quality of their food is horrible, find another place to buy Salvadorenean Restaurant. Always call ahead and order. They make it from scratch so if you're impatient, do not go here. The pupusas are delicious. They say 25 mins but I usually give them 30-40. Parking is hard to find but it's worth it. I usually get lucky in front of in the streets by it. read more

Disorganized. Be careful with takeout. They don't check orders and will give you the wrong food. Even after you ask them to double check.

I will say the pupusas are good and I always order on the phone so when I get there they are ready. However, this is about today. I ordered a sopa de res on the phone, they told me it would take 30 minutes. 30 minutes later they call me telling me they do not have any soup. My husband was already there. Needless to say we were both frustrated and upset our time was wasted. Why wait 30 minutes to tell me they did not have soup??? You must, you must give this place a try, whether your in the long beach area or take a little drive you won't be disappointed. The customer service is wonderful. From the outside you might be fooled but it is a clean and friendly place. Its hard to choose from the variety of pupusas but you can always come back to try others. There's a bakery there too so you can pick up some dessert to go. You do need patients though, it does take awhile for the orders, the owner told us we should order half an hour before we come, especially when coming for lunch. ENJOY! read more

They also discriminate us as deaf family. They refuse to serve deaf family because we couldn't communicate in spoken language. This restaurant is a family favorite. We especially love the revuelta pupusa, the baleadas, and the caldo de res. If you are doing take out or in a rush, you will want to call ahead since everything is made fresh and can take awhile. To continue our search of the perfect the Tamale for our Noche Buena dinner. So far with drink order the Ensalada fruit drink is ample and not too sweet with fresh tropical fruit. We ordered chic, pork and a "chipilin" tamale. I The best! Moist, full of filling, hot! I would give it a five star rating but my Curtiss is a bit better then theirs. Understanding that they probably have to make it every day it doesn't have time to ferment. I think we are going to order tamales here because they taste really good the only thing is the filling a skimpy. We actually did water are tamales from this restaurant but we asked and paid for extra filling. Tasty pupusas overshadowed by bad service. I have visited both restaurant locations and experienced the same problem. I order ahead over the phone and they claim to not have received my order when I arrive. I waited for 20 minutes the first time they did not have my order ready but decided to leave the second time this happened. The restaurants are located in sketchy neighborhoods which is why I prefer to call ahead. Parking is terrible in this area so be ready to circle around the block a few times. The restaurant does not appear to appreciate the business. I wont be coming back. La Esperanza restaurant is a better option. read more
