    Chicken Enchiladas
    Raymond A.

Food was under $40, that's a prettt good deal. The asada taco was decent. Burrito was ok. Don't like sour cream in it. Next time I'll order it without it. Enchiladas were good. The chips were ok. It's a circus to park in the rear. Food didn't take too long to come out. The staff were friendly. Family vibes inside. Thank you.

Tamales, chicken and beef. Both were really good

Ordered tamales & never had anything like this. It was really good. I do wish one of them had more meat though. Overall great food though

Came here after a doctors visit next door, we always see this place and have never stopped by..... until today. Stopped in for breakfast and no one (customers) was here yay for us I don't like crowds lol. Today we were the only ones there. Service was good, employees are very friendly. Ambiance is clean (a little outdated) lots of seating, with some seating outside. Food was good, happy we stopped by.

I'm writing this updated review based on an experience I had this past Friday. I picked up food as I usually do for my Friday lunch meet ups with my UPS driver son. We had Patricia's again. The food was delicious. We had mixed ceviche, a wet, Barbacoa burrito and chicken taquitos. The ceviche was delicious and very fresh. It comes with shrimp, octopus and white fish. They give plenty of tasty chips and tostadas to go with the ceviche. All of the salsas are delicious. The chicken taquitos were very good and come with guacamole, which was also very good. We also had cucumber and strawberry Agua Fresca's, they were very well prepared The restaurant is nice and clean. It's large and I'm sure it gets packed on the weekend. The reason for the updated review is that I left my wallet there. I realized it after we finished our lunch and before I drove back to Orange County. I was able to swing by and pick it up. They sweetly put it in a little brown paper bag and I'm happy to report that all the contents were still there. It speaks well for the Bixby Knolls area, the clientele and the staff of Patricia's. Needless to say the service is impeccable. I was able to enjoy a Modelo Negra while I was waiting for my food.

My colleagues ordered food here for lunch many times and once in a while I would get ceviche from there. The food is decent and of good quality, especially the ceviche, whether it's fish, shrimp, or mixed ceviche (which includes octopus), I always could taste the freshness in their seafood quality. You know, the fresh firm and cooked just right texture, and not the type where you can taste that they have thawed the seafood. My colleagues also loved their tacos and wet burritos and they are very big. There also is also good and spicy. When you go to the restaurant, they have a salsa bar where you can package all the pico de gallo, salsa, and pickled veggies all you want. Parking could be tough during rush hours. This is one of my fav spot for fresh ceviche!

I love this place! The food is amazing. I always get the steak chimichanga and share a cold beer with my man! You get complimentary nachos, which are so yummy! Fried to perfection. Service is always good and friendly. I believe it's a family owned business. The ambiance is great. So many pictures of the past. Heritage is so important and fascinating to see other people's backgrounds.

Wanted a chimichanga so I found this place. I called to verify an item that wasn't in their menu... the lady said yes and hung up lol. So I figured maybe she was busy. I proceeded to the restaurant anyway. The first thing that threw me off was all the employees handling the food with no gloves. The lady scooping them chips with her hands was crazy no lie... i was charged an extra .70 for tomatoes.. which turned out to be pico de gal The parking lot was a reasonable size so you don't have to fight for parking. It's an older dated restaurant looks dingy.

To he reason why I give this place a 4 stars is because they food is good but it can be better if they put some seasoning on they meat . I order the The work Burrito Carne Asada it was a big nice size burrito and I also order a Carne Asada dinner it was a nice plate but the meat didn't have no taste . The restaurant was nice and clean and the young lady that were working. The cashier was very nice and friendly. I will go back but I will ask them can they make it taste like something lol

Always come here for the Milanesa plate. So bomb! Their customer service is top notch. I've never had a dish I didn't like. Plenty of seating and parking in the back.

Delicious food and very friendly people. We had higado cebollado and menudo rojo. Everything was fresh and very tasty. And not expensive! Really good place for a family lunch without a need for tie and black dress.

Had a long day at work and was looking for some good old Home fashioned Mexican food. Found this spot. Greeted and physically ordered from the cashier a chicken Mole Plate with a Carne Asada burrito. Not saying that it is the best Mexican food but just average. Considerably equal to a El Torrito Restaurant without the fancy ambiance. Overall, I recommend this place because the prices are affordable and seating arrangement is good. Open Salsa Bar is also provided: Red Salsa, Pico Di Gao, Green Salsa, Pickled Carrot and Jalapeno. Beer Fridge is also accessible which is a self-serve type of option. Plenty of Parking in the back.

This is the Mexican answer to a greasy spoon diner. You order at the counter, and the order is delivered to the table. The food is simple yet satisfying, served in a no-frill fashion. The caldo de res was rich and I love the fact that there's a whole plate of toppings that you may deploy at your discretion, including three slices of avocado. The accompanying corn tortilla were store-bought. I became very thirsty after lunch, which could mean that the food is over-salted or contained MSG. I don't regret eating it though. I was a pretty happy camper. The cafeteria-style furniture was a little uncomfortable, but most of the customers didn't seem to mind it. My bony butts was getting sore after a while, but the cushioned chairs at the bench rammed my knees directly into the metal beam under the table. The price is right though for a quick bite.

Each of these items were delicious, but I'd return for the ceviche and chilaquiles. The ceviche was a delicious mix of sweet and salty. Their tortilla chips are made fresh in-house and paired perfectly with the fresh cut fish. I was also impressed by their cocktails. With family in town, we visited a number of fan-favorite restaurants across the coastline. Panxa stole the show for best mixed drink: the watermelon margarita. I stopped by on a Friday afternoon and waited about 20 minutes for a table. The wait was well worth it because each dish offered an explosion of flavors. My favorite dish was the birria, with the salmon ceviche as a close second. The mole was great too, but I'd say the other two dishes were more memorable and something I'd return for. I can't recommend the birria enough, as the flavors were reminiscent of what I've had in Mexico, very authentic. The space is small and can feel a bit tight, but sometimes the best food comes from these types of "hole in the wall" places. Ultimately, I'd say give Lola's a try! The soup here lacks the tastebud awakening zip that Don Chato's has. The ono fish taco experience was my fault... I hate fried fish taco, so I had lofty expectations, but due to the fact that I do not prefer corn tortillas, guacamole or raw onions, led to much disappointment since It has all three. Totally my fault. The butternut enchilada was lacking in the expected savoriness... this is being polite. The potato taquito was okay... but I am not a taquito person, so if you are I would seriously encourage you to try it. The star of the table was the Mexican corn. It may not compete with Cornman in Lincoln Heights, but it was decent. I scraped off the onions and toppings on the ono tacos, put the fish on the flour tortillas that another person didn't want, and topped the fish with refried beans, street corn and a but if the chicken tortilla soup broth to make due. When you are driving more than 30 minutes for this experience, I think you would agree that it was less that a proper way to celebrate a birthday. Oh and if there isn't any street parking. It'll cost you about 9 bucks in the lot. I didn't use the restroom, so I cant review its cleanliness. Our waitress was flawless taking orders and delivering food The restaurant itself has a great layout and an outdoor courtyard complete with propane heaters and umbrellas - I loved that... but my favorite part was out front, no not the seating area in the former parking spaces, nope... it was the collapsed woman on the sidewalk, walking her dog with snot running out of her nose because she was huffing some aerosol can of whatever. This truly set the mood upon arrival. Two stars for being close to a lot of other food choices to visit afterward.

It has great flavor and is one of the things I look forward to every time I come here. My absolute favorite is their green chile pork, which I get as a chile verde wet burrito. It is outstanding. I honestly haven't tried a huge portion of the menu because when I find something I really like, I tend to stick with it--and their chile verde wet burrito is just too good for me to pass up. Our waitress was absolutely phenomenal, super friendly and anticipating all of our needs (water refills, leftover containers, etc.). Service overall by all staff was friendly. We were actually presently surprised with the taste of the food, thinking it might be more Americanized but they actually had very authentic and tasty totopos (tortilla chips). The tomato salsa that came with the chips was also very refreshing. We asked for hot sauce too and the house habanero salsa really packed a punch! We ordered carne asada nachos, pork belly chilaquiles (from the brunch menu), a breakfast burrito, poke, and steamed clams. The steamed clams came in a rich tomato broth and the breakfast burrito was massive. The poke was just okay and the chilaquiles a bit too soggy for me, and the carne asada nachos a bit dry. Nonetheless, presentation and portion sizes were respectable. The last comment is that food here is quite pricey but that reflects the likely high rent of a restaurant in 2nd and PCH. Ola still exceeded expectations and provided a more than pleasant meal.

First, we asked for a spicier salsa, and we were told that it could only be served with our meal. What's the point of getting the salsa with the meal when we wanted to enjoy it with our chips beforehand? They also used to offer free horchata refills, but apparently that is no longer the case. Unfortunately, they also got our food order wrong. We specifically ordered beef enchiladas, and my husband repeated the order three times, yet we received shrimp enchiladas instead. Overall, the experience just isn't what it used to be. It feels like they are nickel-and-diming customers for everything, even something as simple as salsa or a horchata refill. I understand they are renovating the front of the building, and perhaps the cost of the renovations is contributing to these changes, but the customers shouldn't feel the impact of that. The staff at the front may look nice and presentable, but unfortunately, the overall service doesn't feel as customer-focused as it once did. At this point, I would recommend looking for another restaurant where the service and hospitality are more consistent and where you don't feel like you're being charged for every little thing.
