Came here after a doctors visit next door, we always see this place and have never stopped by..... until today. Stopped in for breakfast and no one (customers) was here yay for us I don't like crowds lol. Today we were the only ones there. Service was good, employees are very friendly. Ambiance is clean (a little outdated) lots of seating, with some seating outside. Food was good, happy we stopped by.

I'm writing this updated review based on an experience I had this past Friday. I picked up food as I usually do for my Friday lunch meet ups with my UPS driver son. We had Patricia's again. The food was delicious. We had mixed ceviche, a wet, Barbacoa burrito and chicken taquitos. The ceviche was delicious and very fresh. It comes with shrimp, octopus and white fish. They give plenty of tasty chips and tostadas to go with the ceviche. All of the salsas are delicious. The chicken taquitos were very good and come with guacamole, which was also very good. We also had cucumber and strawberry Agua Fresca's, they were very well prepared The restaurant is nice and clean. It's large and I'm sure it gets packed on the weekend. The reason for the updated review is that I left my wallet there. I realized it after we finished our lunch and before I drove back to Orange County. I was able to swing by and pick it up. They sweetly put it in a little brown paper bag and I'm happy to report that all the contents were still there. It speaks well for the Bixby Knolls area, the clientele and the staff of Patricia's. Needless to say the service is impeccable. I was able to enjoy a Modelo Negra while I was waiting for my food.

My colleagues ordered food here for lunch many times and once in a while I would get ceviche from there. The food is decent and of good quality, especially the ceviche, whether it's fish, shrimp, or mixed ceviche (which includes octopus), I always could taste the freshness in their seafood quality. You know, the fresh firm and cooked just right texture, and not the type where you can taste that they have thawed the seafood. My colleagues also loved their tacos and wet burritos and they are very big. There also is also good and spicy. When you go to the restaurant, they have a salsa bar where you can package all the pico de gallo, salsa, and pickled veggies all you want. Parking could be tough during rush hours. This is one of my fav spot for fresh ceviche!

I love this place! The food is amazing. I always get the steak chimichanga and share a cold beer with my man! You get complimentary nachos, which are so yummy! Fried to perfection. Service is always good and friendly. I believe it's a family owned business. The ambiance is great. So many pictures of the past. Heritage is so important and fascinating to see other people's backgrounds.

Wanted a chimichanga so I found this place. I called to verify an item that wasn't in their menu... the lady said yes and hung up lol. So I figured maybe she was busy. I proceeded to the restaurant anyway. The first thing that threw me off was all the employees handling the food with no gloves. The lady scooping them chips with her hands was crazy no lie... i was charged an extra .70 for tomatoes.. which turned out to be pico de gal The parking lot was a reasonable size so you don't have to fight for parking. It's an older dated restaurant looks dingy.

Menu

Delicious food and very friendly people. We had higado cebollado and menudo rojo. Everything was fresh and very tasty. And not expensive! Really good place for a family lunch without a need for tie and black dress.

To he reason why I give this place a 4 stars is because they food is good but it can be better if they put some seasoning on they meat . I order the The work Burrito Carne Asada it was a big nice size burrito and I also order a Carne Asada dinner it was a nice plate but the meat didn't have no taste . The restaurant was nice and clean and the young lady that were working. The cashier was very nice and friendly. I will go back but I will ask them can they make it taste like something lol

Always come here for the Milanesa plate. So bomb! Their customer service is top notch. I've never had a dish I didn't like. Plenty of seating and parking in the back.

Had a long day at work and was looking for some good old Home fashioned Mexican food. Found this spot. Greeted and physically ordered from the cashier a chicken Mole Plate with a Carne Asada burrito. Not saying that it is the best Mexican food but just average. Considerably equal to a El Torrito Restaurant without the fancy ambiance. Overall, I recommend this place because the prices are affordable and seating arrangement is good. Open Salsa Bar is also provided: Red Salsa, Pico Di Gao, Green Salsa, Pickled Carrot and Jalapeno. Beer Fridge is also accessible which is a self-serve type of option. Plenty of Parking in the back.

Friendly & helpful staff. Weekday lunch time can get busy = food's delicious & fresh. Ample seating. Many salsa options. Parking lot in the back.

Food so good. I'm pretty picky when it comes to Mexican food. My grandparents owned a restaurant. Shredded beef tacos, rice and beans.

This restaurant is not consistent with the quality and service. They need to work on the environment they provide their patrons to eat in.

Spectacular Mexican food! I'm so glad TikTok recommended this place because I may have never…read morestumbled upon it otherwise! I stopped by on a Friday afternoon and waited about 20 minutes for a table. The wait was well worth it because each dish offered an explosion of flavors. My favorite dish was the birria, with the salmon ceviche as a close second. The mole was great too, but I'd say the other two dishes were more memorable and something I'd return for. I can't recommend the birria enough, as the flavors were reminiscent of what I've had in Mexico, very authentic. The space is small and can feel a bit tight, but sometimes the best food comes from these types of "hole in the wall" places. Ultimately, I'd say give Lola's a try! You can't go wrong with Mexican food!

Not impressed by anything we ordered, given the competition locally…read more I will drive to Acton, CA (124 miles round trip) for their chicken tortilla soup ... bringing back 3 quarts of it after our meal is done. The soup here lacks the tastebud awakening zip that Don Chato's has. The ono fish taco experience was my fault... I hate fried fish taco, so I had lofty expectations, but due to the fact that I do not prefer corn tortillas, guacamole or raw onions, led to much disappointment since It has all three. Totally my fault. The butternut enchilada was lacking in the expected savoriness... this is being polite. The potato taquito was okay... but I am not a taquito person, so if you are I would seriously encourage you to try it. The star of the table was the Mexican corn. It may not compete with Cornman in Lincoln Heights, but it was decent. I scraped off the onions and toppings on the ono tacos, put the fish on the flour tortillas that another person didn't want, and topped the fish with refried beans, street corn and a but if the chicken tortilla soup broth to make due. When you are driving more than 30 minutes for this experience, I think you would agree that it was less that a proper way to celebrate a birthday. Oh and if there isn't any street parking. It'll cost you about 9 bucks in the lot. I didn't use the restroom, so I cant review its cleanliness. Our waitress was flawless taking orders and delivering food The restaurant itself has a great layout and an outdoor courtyard complete with propane heaters and umbrellas - I loved that... but my favorite part was out front, no not the seating area in the former parking spaces, nope... it was the collapsed woman on the sidewalk, walking her dog with snot running out of her nose because she was huffing some aerosol can of whatever. This truly set the mood upon arrival. Two stars for being close to a lot of other food choices to visit afterward.

I'm honestly shocked I haven't reviewed this place yet because I've basically eaten my way through…read morethe entire menu at Enrique's. If you want big portions, legit authentic food, and prices that won't personally offend you--this is your spot. The pork shank? Fall-off-the-bone, no-effort-required kind of delicious. The tacos are (I do wish they had à la carte instead of plates, but honestly their rice and refried beans slap so I'll allow it). The ceviche is basically an entrée disguised as an appetizer, and the chicken arroz soup hits every time. They bring out chips and salsa immediately (as they should), service is quick, and there's plenty of parking--which already puts them ahead of half the restaurants in SoCal.

I opted for the carne asada plate - simple and not spicy. Hubby ordered the Carne en su Jugo- very spicy with tomatillo broth and serranos, cilantro, bacon and onions. Both of our entrees came with bean soup and tortillas. The chips/ salsa starter was addictive. Huge basket of fresh warm chips, and a salsa like no other! Chunks of veggies and just the right spice. It was hard to get those chunks on the chips but it was delicious. My carne asada was tasty, a large portion with grilled scallion and rice. I wish some of the "bean soup" had been pureed to be a bit thicker but the broth was good, with a variety of beans. Hubby's dish had an interesting flavor, very spicy. He wished the broth had some rice, though, to accompany it. We could come back weekly to try many more entrees. Their salads sound tasty, too. Service was great.

It was open seating when we arrived which majority of the tables was taken where all the television were. The main dining area had a television set up but main bar area was where the action was taking place. We got lucky as there was a table available along the wall with perfect view of the game. Of course it was rain delayed so more time to enjoy food and drinks. Also it was happy hour and taco Tuesday all at the same time. As the game was happening, one of the tequila sponsors was there offering deals. Shot and a jersey. Tony took care of us that night and he was amazing. Made sure that we got everything we needed. Very sweet as well. Happy hour menu offered a good amount of items for a great deal. As well as draft beer and cocktails. Regular menu is great as well which we've had before. Food, an order of the tostada both with shrimp and aguachili. Served with two small tostada and handful of crevice on top. Both were quite tasty and very well flavored in the juice. Also two of the street tacos with birria. They were quite small but did have a major punch of flavor to it. And well priced at 2.50 a piece. Of course the crinkle cut loaded fries with added carne asada. Seemed like it was a popular item as every table had it. It was good but a little skimpy with the topping. Lastly the chicken wings, lemon pepper flavor. Six piece tossed in the sauce. It was good but way too salty for my liking. We still enjoyed everything we had. As we got the shot with the jersey earlier, the person who was affiliated with the sponsor brand was walking around with more shot. I must say, it does hit the spot big time...lol... The crowd was lively with everyone all there for the same reason. The game and good company. First time for happy hour and it was nice. We had a great time and everyone working was the sweetest. And Tony was amazing. Took very good care of us.

Our waitress was absolutely phenomenal, super friendly and anticipating all of our needs (water refills, leftover containers, etc.). Service overall by all staff was friendly. We were actually presently surprised with the taste of the food, thinking it might be more Americanized but they actually had very authentic and tasty totopos (tortilla chips). The tomato salsa that came with the chips was also very refreshing. We asked for hot sauce too and the house habanero salsa really packed a punch! We ordered carne asada nachos, pork belly chilaquiles (from the brunch menu), a breakfast burrito, poke, and steamed clams. The steamed clams came in a rich tomato broth and the breakfast burrito was massive. The poke was just okay and the chilaquiles a bit too soggy for me, and the carne asada nachos a bit dry. Nonetheless, presentation and portion sizes were respectable. The last comment is that food here is quite pricey but that reflects the likely high rent of a restaurant in 2nd and PCH.
