First time at Olé Bar Tapas Bar & Kitchen, and honestly, three stars is me being generous. The space itself is nicely designed, but we were seated at a slanted table and the restaurant was way too hot. Several tables were literally fanning themselves with menus. Our waitress even mentioned it to the manager, but nothing really changed. That alone made the experience uncomfortable. The bigger issue for me was value. I understand tapas are small plates, but for the prices, the quality and portions should be much better. The calamari tasted fine, but there were a lot of red bell peppers and mostly crumbs at the bottom. The mixed olives came in a very small dish with mostly tiny olives with pits, broken pieces, and maybe three decent-sized olives. The garlic shrimp was the standout and was actually very good. The ham and cheese croquetas were four tiny little balls, about the size of mini store-bought frozen meatballs, served with a little sweet tomato sauce underneath. Not terrible, just extremely small and not memorable. Drinks were mixed. I enjoyed the wine flight trio. My mom had the classic mojito, and my sister wasn't impressed with the mezcal Negroni. The biggest disappointment was dessert. We ordered the churros with chocolate sauce. I've lived in Spain and Spanish cuisine is one of my specialties, so I know what churros con chocolate should be. These were pale yet somehow overcooked, and the sauce was very light brown, extremely hot, and tasted more like butter, cream and sugar than chocolate. To her credit, a second waitress did try to help since our original waitress event to break and was very kind. Since my family had already eaten some of the churros and didn't know any better, she explained she couldn't fully remove the dessert, but she gave me a $9 discount using her employee discount. I didn't ask for a discount, rather to inform the kitchen. I appreciated that gesture, so thank you to her for making an effort. Service overall was okay, but our water wasn't consistently replenished and we eventually had to ask for ice water, especially frustrating considering how hot it was inside. Our bill came out to about $156 for three drinks, bread with tomato, calamari, olives, garlic shrimp, croquetas and churros. For that price, the quality, portions, service and overall experience just didn't match. Nice ambiance and good garlic shrimp, but the menu needs some serious tightening up. Three stars. There's potential here, but right now it feels overpriced for what you actually get.

I had my birthday brunch at ole! Food was delicious, my waiter was very attentive! Was definitely a vibe upstairs music was on point! Me and ny party danced all day! will definitely be back.

    Flourless chocolate cake

I seriously cannot say enough good things about Olé. The food, desserts, cocktails, atmosphere, and service all make it a standout experience. The desserts were especially impressive. The flourless chocolate cake was rich and decadent, while the cheesecake and crisp churros with caramel drizzle made for a fun, perfectly balanced combination. The poached pear in sangria was another unique highlight that showed how much thought goes into the menu. My favorite savory dish was the chicken bruchetta with Manchego mashed potatoes and balsamic-glazed Brussels sprouts. Every element worked beautifully together, and I would gladly return for it. The craft cocktails, music, DJ, live entertainment, and nightclub upstairs make Olé a place where you can spend the entire evening. We celebrated my 21st birthday here, and the staff went out of their way to make it special. Their attention to service and creating a memorable experience truly shows. Definitely one of the top spots in Long Beach.

The advertise rape kit that they don't provide when asked

Asked for a roofie kit and it was not provided. If it's advertised, it's clearly a problem. I asked at the hostess in the restaurant side to see if they had one and they acted like they had not heard of it. Also for the Latin music, it's $10 not $20 as the club upstairs. Bad service and not knowledgeable staff sets ups for a bad night.

We have gone now multiple times to enjoy the Marinera Paella Familia - such great flavor paired with an even better cocktail or two!

We have gone back for the tasty Paella- with their fresh baked bread served with butter and a savory tomato sauce paired with one or two of their delicious drinks including the Sangria a MUST try ! Overall a great experience with an even better vibe !

We had the most incredible dinner here at Olé Tapas Bar and Kitchen. Step inside an oasis of delight just off the streets of Long Beach. From their immersive ambiance to the live music, all of the visuals amplify the flavors of their phenomenal menu. We were welcomed by Kat who provided an exceptional dining experience, offering great recommendations and pairings. We shared their pan con tamate with prosciutto, croquetas de queso y jamon, and Brussels sprouts before a single sized order of their traditional paella, which was perfect for two. The mixed flavors and textures were all phenomenal, but that paella really was fantastic. Rich and flavorfully balanced by the lobster stock, the entire bite was something to be remembered. We can't wait to come back in for our next tapas night!

On my first night in Long Beach, and a rainy one at that, I had a reservation at Cafe Sevilla for 10 p.m. on a Thursday. I ended up arriving early, a little after 9 p.m. and was seated at the bar. It's good I did because I was informed that the kitchen closes down at 9:30. Crisis averted...though the restaurant should mention when making a reservation online that food is no longer available at a certain hour. I walked over from my Airbnb but noticed that they don't have a parking lot. Your best bet is street parking or a nearby parking garage. Ambiance (5/5): A beautiful restaurant inside. Romantic, nice ambiance, sophisticated...I was impressed wholeheartedly. The Spanish music playing in the background was a nice touch, too. They have live music on the weekends, so I didn't get to experience that but I would have liked to. They also own a night club right next to the restaurant. While I sat at the bar, they also have high tops in the bar area, tables, booths, and a small patio in front of the restaurant. Service (4/5): They charge a 3% transaction fee if you use a credit card. I'm never a fan of businesses trying to pass of merchant fees onto customers. It's a cost of business. If I would have had enough cash on me, that's what I would have done. Despite the policy, the bartender took good care of me. He was friendly and checked in to see how I was doing. A job well done, overall. They also have free WiFi which is always a nice touch. I was able to get some work done while I was chowing down. Drinks (4/5): Cafe Sevilla has a nice list of cocktails, beer, and wine. I couldn't help but go with a Spanish classic, sangria. They have a sangria royale, which I went with for an upcharge, that also has a liquer in it. To be honest, it tasted just like a regular sangria for me. No sweat though, it was a refreshing alcoholic beverage and a treat as I don't have sangria often. Food (4.5/5): I went with the jamon y manchego croquettes which were splendid. The presentation of every dish at Cafe Sevilla is well thought out and adds to the dining experience. Nestled on top of some red sauce, the four croquettes were fried just right and bursting with flavor and cheesy goodness inside. There was even a little pull factor with the cheese which we can always appreciate. Speaking of presentation, while I forget the exact name of the dish, I also ordered the sizzling platter of three different types of Spanish sausage. The platter is flambeed at your table with brandy and apple cider vinegar. Beyond the interactive presentation, each sausage was delicious. The brandy added a little sweetness to the sausage. Along with the small onions on the platter. Chef's kiss. The menu consists of a lot of tapas, plus paellas, and some entrees. Both of my dishes were tapas. While the portion sizes are not large, and it's not cheap, the quality is there. If you're trying to get some bang for your buck, come during happy hour every day of the week, where tapas are half off. They also have some paella discounts on Fridays and Saturdays, I believe. If I lived in Long Beach, I would definitely return! And if you've never had Spanish food before, check them out. It's a treat.

¡Olé, olé, olé, olé... olé... olé! If you're looking for the perfect place to watch a soccer match, this is it. We came for the Mexico vs. Korea game and the energy inside was electric. The crowd, the excitement, and the overall atmosphere made it such a fun viewing party. The DJ really helped elevate the experience and kept the energy going all game long. It truly felt like the place to be for soccer fans. Food-wise, I definitely recommend the chicken quesadilla. Also, the mojitos downstairs were excellent--super refreshing and worth trying! Just note they weren't available at the viewing party on the 3rd floor. Overall, such a great spot for a game-day experience. We'll definitely be back, and next time we want to try more from the full restaurant menu.

Absolutely incredible -- food, music & vibe all top-notch! From start to finish, our night at Cafe Sevilla was perfect. This place truly delivers an authentic Spanish dining and entertainment experience with amazing food, lively atmosphere, excellent service and unforgettable live music. We ordered the grilled beef and grilled lamb skewers with rice -- perfectly cooked, flavorful, and paired beautifully with their Spanish-style menu offerings. Their tapas-style approach makes everything fun to share and enjoy with friends or a date night crowd. But the highlight of the evening was the live band -- Projection Latin Music! They had the entire restaurant singing and dancing all night long, playing everything from Salsa to Merengue to Bachata and more. Their energy was infectious, and I was so impressed that I followed them on Instagram @ProjectionLatinMusic. The vibe here is unmatched -- part restaurant, part tapas bar, part nightclub -- with live Latin music and entertainment featured regularly. Whether you're coming for dinner, drinks, dancing, or all of the above, Cafe Sevilla knows how to deliver an unforgettable night. Highly recommended if you want excellent Spanish cuisine and a fantastic night out -- we'll definitely be back!

We first came here for a Private Party upstairs in Dec. of 2022. We were served a few different tapas & other dishes which were tasty. We enjoyed the Chorizo Empanada, Meatballs, Ceviche, Chicken, Short Ribs, & Paella. The food left a great impression on us and we wanted to come back to try their regular menu. We've passed by here a number of times, but never made it back. Tonight was the night we'd take the Journey Through Spain! We were seated promptly at a booth. The table didn't fit the curve of the booth seat and it was difficult to slide in. Our server was alright, not very attentive nor personable, but we did get all our food. We took a Journey Through Spain which is a 5-Course Dinner for Two. For the first and second course, you get to choose one item. Course 3 is set. Fourth course is the entrée and you each get to choose one dish. And lastly dessert, it is set. Sad to say that we did not enjoy most of the meal. We were served the first and second course almost simultaneously. Felt so rushed! For the second course we chose the Spanish Salchichas a la Plancha because they flambée the sausages tableside. I wasn't ready with my phone camera and the server didn't seem like she wanted to wait on me. My husband asked her to wait a sec. I got flustered and then missed most of the flambéeing. It is a show & experience, and the server should realize that! After we tasted the 3rd course, the Croquetas de Queso y Jamón, I asked hubby if we could just stop this dinner for two and pay for what we'd already gotten. I wasn't joking, but we pushed through. Journey Through Spain: 1st -Boquerones Filet - fish was very fishy 2nd - Spanish Salchichas a la Plancha - we didn't care for this 3rd - Croquetas de Queso y Jamón - I thought they were ok, but hubby didn't like them. The exterior had a nicely fried crispy texture. 4th - Braised Rioja Short Rib (Hubby's choice) - this was a good dish. Tender Short Rib meat. 4th - Salmón con Chorizo (my choice) - my Salmon was dried out. The very innermost center portion of the Salmon was very good and tender, but it was a small amount. It was overcooked. 5th - Basque Cheesecake - very mushy but tasted ok. Never had such a wet cheesecake. It wasn't really a Basque Cheesecake because there was no caramelized burnt top that is its' signature style. I got a Virgin Berry Mule. I loved the lavender hue of the mocktail! It consists of blueberry, strawberry, lime and ginger beer. The drink was very good although a tiny bit too sweet. Gotta say that the food was not up to par. We are not very picky eaters. We enjoy all sorts of ethnic foods. I dislike rating restaurants poorly, but sometimes it is warranted. 2-stars on Yelp means they "Could've been better" and I do concur.

Pick 1 Meat OR Seafood Over Mixed Paella Saffron Rice (Arroz de Paella)

If you want good paella, do not come here. This was honestly the worst paella I've ever had, which was really disappointing because the restaurant itself had a nice atmosphere and live music. We ordered a half seafood and half meat paella, with added lobster and pork belly. Unfortunately, the actual food was terrible. Main issues: * The bottom of the seafood side was completely black and burnt instead of having a crispy socarrat. There's a huge difference between crispy rice and burnt rice. * The lobster was severely overcooked, burnt, and tasted terrible. * The pork belly was an extra charge, but there was barely any visible pork belly in the dish. It honestly just looked like tiny bacon pieces. * All of the meat throughout the paella was severely overcooked. Positives: * Our waiter was very nice. * The ambiance was good. * The live music added a fun vibe. * It was my birthday, so they gave me a complimentary ice cream dessert at the end, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, none of that made up for how bad the paella itself was.

This was my first visit to the Long Beach Terrace Theater to see Joe Satriani and Steve Vai touring…read moretogether as the SatchVai band. The venue has its own multi-story parking lot which is very easy to access, and only charges $15. We arrived thirty minutes before the show, and there was no line to enter the parking lot with many parking spaces available. After a very short walk across the garage and going up a one-story staircase (there is also an elevator), we were on the ground level with the theater. Unfortunately, you have to walk all the way around the large fountain area to reach the security checkpoint and entrance. There was no line and we passed through quickly. Luckily, after the show, you could walk directly to the garage without having to go around again. The theater seats around 3,000 people and has floor, loge, and balcony sections. It is very clean and has a modern feel. The main lobby is spacious and has high ceilings. There are bars on all levels, and some basic food items downstairs. There were also a few food and drink spots in front outside. The concert hall has very high ceilings and is also very modern. We sat on the floor in the second row. The seats were padded and comfortable, and the spacing between adjacent seats and between rows was good. The view of the performers was amazing. There was a large projection screen behind the stage, with various video playing throughout the show. There was some fog on the stage, and the lighting was good, but nothing exceptional. Sitting so close is great for pictures and videos, and you're oblivious to the other 2,900 people in the theater. It almost feels like you're getting a private performance. However, the sound can be hit or miss depending on the performers' preferences and venue's audio setup. The main speaker arrays here hang directly over the first few rows in front of the stage. For the opening band, we couldn't hear any of the guitars at all. Joe played almost completely through his on-stage amps only and the sound was perfect. Steve's mix was half through his amps and half through the main speaker arrays. We could hear his guitar, but not nearly as well as Joe's. It's not the venues fault, the sound is usually optimized for the majority of the theater, and the first few rows may suffer. The opening band was Animals As Leaders. I've seen them a few times over the years as an opener for Steve Vai. They are an instrumental guitar focused band with the unique characteristic that both guitarists use eight-string guitars which gives them a unique sound. Joe Satriani and Steve Vai started out the main show together. They are two of the greatest rock guitar legends to ever play. They played a few original songs together that they co-wrote, followed by both individual and joint performances of a dozen of their popular songs. Steve's unique three-neck Hydra guitar made an appearance. There was also an encore with cover versions of Rock and Roll and Born to be Wild. I've seen Joe 25 times and Steve seven times, and I'll continue to go to every show when they are in town. In between the opening band and the main show, we immediately went to use the ground level restrooms which are downstairs. The lines were already extremely long. On a whim, we went upstairs and the restrooms on both sides initially had very short lines. After only five minutes, the upstairs lines also started to get long. Go upstairs fast and you should have a much shorter wait. The show was great and I really liked the venue. It's modern, clean, and comfortable, with various amenities. The sound mix was a mixed bag sitting in front, but it wasn't the venue's fault. If you want the best chance of a good sound mix, don't sit up front. Parking was very convenient and very affordable. I would definitely come see a show here again. 4.5 stars rounded up to 5.

The thing that stood out was the nice courtyard decor of water fountains. The vibe radiated as the fountains were sparkling, giving the ambiance of a fresh cool entertainment settimg. The outside really looks cool at night because of the lighting structure. I have been here many times before. Experiencing both indoor and outdoor venue entertainment. Just to name a few.. Jokoy, air supply, 90s old school R&B funk jam , Franki Valli and the list goes on. Its not very big inside, in comparison to Crypto or the inglewood forum but it does its job. Stadium seating could use some work if they decide to remodel in the future. Its a clean place with great acoustics. The only negative thing I have to say is the sale of alcoholic beverages! The venue shuts down completely early. Like 9pmsh! Unacceptable for an entertainment venue. I recommend watching concerts or any type of events in this area. Plenty of parking in the parking structure and surrounding businesses nearby. Long Beach is beautiful.

We had a blast! The band had the crowd jumping. In addition, the place is big w/ lots of tables for large groups (there were ~ 15 in our party). The dance floor is spacious also, so it didn't get body to body. Lastly, the clientele are chill, and no one was looking to cause trouble unlike some places. Our waitress took excellent care of us (I forgot her name). But all the staff was cool. I ordered a few drinks from Yvette at the bar, and she was friendly & warm. The only downside is the food is pricey & average. That issue is easily resolved by eating beforehand (band starts @ ~ 9 pm). I only had snacks at Gaslamp to line my stomach for all the alcohol. I would definitely return to enjoy a fun night in a low key place. The cover is reasonable, and the service is very good.

The Biroche Bun was toasted a bit too much. They did honour my request to have the burger plain with just the bun, meat and cheese. Good. The burger was decent but nothing special especially considering the price. The French Fries were decent. Men's washroom was clean and had paper towels... good. I'm glad that the bartender who served me tucked his shirt in... looks professional. I was not able to understand what Whey Jennings said from the stage. Either he did not speak well or else that the acoustics were bad. If I was to assign a letter grade as is done in school, this establishment would be in there solid with a B.

My fiancé and I were looking for a place to drink and eat before a concert and were excited to see the menu for the Auld Dubliner. We came in on a Saturday night and the place was packed! The only place with seating was in the very front of the restaurant, outside. We sat outside looking at the menu, before deciding what we wanted. There wasn't a server or water walking around, so I had gone straight to the bar and talked to the bartender. He was very sweet and tried his best to hear me. Impeccable hearing, I'd say, because it was loud in there. I ordered an IPA with fish and chips. He gave me a number, which I was grateful for to ensure they'd find me outside. I sat outside with my fiancé, and we enjoyed our time people watching. Although they were extremely busy, our food came out within 10 - 15 minutes. The fish was very good; it was crispy and flaky. Their fries were okay, and just a tad bit soggy, probably due to the temperature of the fish. My IPA was cold and good. It's your typical pub and food, but great experience to those visiting. I'll probably be back again if I happen to be back for another concert.

Communication leading up to our wedding was consistently poor. Emails and messages often went unanswered for days, which created a lot of unnecessary anxiety during an already stressful time. During our final walkthrough, Ciara reassured us that we would not be rushed to remove our belongings after the wedding and could even return Monday or Tuesday. She specifically shared that she had been rushed after her own wedding at this venue and did not want to do that to us. Unfortunately, the day after our wedding, that is exactly what happened. Our vendor arrived during the 12-2 p.m. pickup window we were given, only to find the venue locked. After multiple unanswered calls and texts, Ciara arrived nearly an hour later, resulting in our vendor charging us for the wait. At that same time, we were suddenly told all of our belongings needed to be removed that day, giving us essentially an hour to figure it out; completely contradicting what we had been told during our final walkthrough. Our wedding itself was wonderful, but the lack of communication and follow-through caused so much unnecessary stress before and immediately after it. As beautiful as the space is, based on our experience with management, we would not host another event here or recommend it to friends or family.
