I'm so glad I checked Yelp instead because this was a great dining experience and is on our map to return to. We ordered a chicken tikka masala bowl, a saag paneer bowl, two garlic naans, and two mango lassis. It came out to about $42 which I already thought was reasonable but when I saw the size of the portions, I was amazed. I-5 motorists- take note: LA Indian Cuisine is a gift waiting to be unwrapped! It's an order-at-the-front situation, but the space is huge, with comfortable booths that make it easy to settle in. The staff was genuinely warm and helpful, guiding us through a very large menu that could honestly take a minute to narrow down. We landed on the vegetable korma, paneer saag, and garlic naan, all solid choices. But the saag completely stole the show. Bright, fresh, and loaded with ginger and aromatics. We could not stop eating it. Service is casual in the best way. Everything comes out in to-go containers even if you're dining in, which ends up being perfect because the portions are generous. This is clearly a prime pit stop for anyone heading over the Grapevine, and you'll absolutely have leftovers for the road. They also offer complimentary chai, which is an instant win for me, and the TVs playing Indian music videos are mesmerizing and kept me entertained as we awaited our meal. Visiting the area from Seattle , my husband wanted Indian and this establishment is one my sister has eaten at. This establishment is located in the heart of where truckers stop to eat and fuel up. It is located in a small strip of stores. I will start out and say the food is outstanding but the interior decor has absolutely no personality, no inviting ambiance. It's filled with booths and the wall colors are odd. No decor in the place. The menu display boards are bright and easy to read. I really liked how the menu clearly outlined vegetarian options. There were 4 of us so we ordered 4 different dishes. The samosas were robust and flavorful! The naan breads were good but needed to be toasted longer. I ordered the aloo gobi - contained very large stems of cauliflower- wished they were cut into smaller pieces, potatoes were scarce. I also ordered the paneer tikka - delicious! The sauce was creamy and the paneer chunks were big. What blew me away was we dined in and dinner was brought to us on a cafeteria tray in "to go" containers, along with paper plates and plastic silverware wrapped in plastic. I have never dined in a restaurant and served like this. I was stunned and found it extremely wasteful. Our naan breads were wrapped in thick foil. The customer service was okay. No one came to the table and asked how our food was. As stated the food was delicious but the experience was odd. If I returned I get take out vice dining it. Very odd customer experience. read more

We also got mango lassi which was wonderful. Everything was delicious. They even gave us a free rice pudding.
