After returning for what I thought would be good service is where the nightmare began. I brought in a pair of headphones since it's in their list of repairables yet immediately the guy turns me away. He says that they don't do work on AirPod Max's and to go to a different store. He wasn't willing to tell me which store to try or why they can't work on it; he seemed like he wanted me to leave so he could go back on his phone. Afterwards, I tried to get a free PC tune up. I scheduled an appointment and when I arrived instead of being treated properly the guy wanted to argue with me and try to explain to me that my appointment isn't showing up in his system while I'm showing him my confirmation messages. I understand technical difficulties but the guy was just being a weirdo. He snatched my phone out of my hand and then took it to the back multiple times. Eventually it popped up. If the guy could pick up on any social cues it could've went so much smoother. On the receipt is a pickup date, so I return 2 days after it. The laptop still isn't ready. It shouldn't take 7+ days to tune up a PC...The same guy from before helped me and he just blankly told me that they're still working on and it's not ready. They didn't even do a whole lot to the laptop I have no clue why it took them over 7 days to return it. It didn't even look like they wiped it down after using it nor did they remove their barcode sticker. Just terrible service I realized that after 1 positive experience, I got lucky and this place sucks. If you're looking for good customer service. If you enjoy helped at their convenience and lowkey screwed over this place is for you (ex. They will offer you a non-oem quality screen replacement for your iPhone.). I live on the corner of 3rd and Broadway, and one day I happened to notice a small repair shop across the street called Sky Fix. Not just phones either; computers, software issues, hardware issues, all of it. It made me realize how many hours of frustration I waste trying to Google solutions, watch YouTube tutorials, or use AI to generate step-by-step fixes that somehow never actually work. In my case, my charging ports constantly get clogged with dust and dirt, and instead of simply fixing the problem I end up spending hours stressed out, fighting with cords and restarting devices. At some point you start asking yourself: how much is your time worth? One of the things I love about Sky Fix is how accessible it is. I live right across the street, but even if I didn't, there are multiple parking structures surrounding it and none of them cost more than about ten dollars max. You can park and be at the front door within seconds. It's also directly off the Broadway & 2nd Metro stop, which honestly makes it one of the most accessible tech repair stores in the city. But the real reason I'm writing this review is Eric, the owner and manager. I work in tech myself, so I know what real intelligence in that world looks like, and Eric is one of the most adept minds I've been around in a long time. But what impresses me even more is something most people probably never notice. I see how he treats the homeless people who walk in with broken phones. I see how patient he is with people who are confused, stressed, or just trying to get a dead device working so they can contact somebody safe. I've watched him help people without charging them. I've watched him treat everyone in the neighborhood with dignity regardless of what they look like or whether they can pay. That kind of humanity is rare. Everybody around here knows Eric, and after getting to know the place a little better, I'm honestly proud to support a business like this in our neighborhood. Downtown can feel chaotic sometimes, but places like Sky Fix remind me why I still love living here. Really fast service, and super convenient for USC students! I've been breaking phones since I can remember and this place is my go-to whenever it inevitably happens again. The employees are friendly and work quickly which is awesome for those of us who feel awkward without their phone nearby. Even though they most likely use replacement parts from China I haven't had an issue with anything except for my extreme clumsiness. I disagree with the review that says it's too sketchy for a girl to go alone.... I'm a girl that's been going there alone for a couple of years. There are always cops in the parking lot, and even though the door is in the corner the inside of the store is clean and professional. Sounds like that person just doesn't like the whole neighborhood, because this little shopping center doesn't particularly stand out. read more

What a relief!!!! I few weeks ago I dropped my iPhone and as tragedy struck, my screen was shattered, and to my worst nightmare the screen went completely black! I did a google search within the 90007 zip code and LA iPhone Repair was highly suggested from other happy customers. I arrived and Nathan was there to greet me, I told him what had happened to my phone and immediately he said that I need a new screen. 30 minutes later, voila I had my phone back! just as good as new! I came to LAiPhone Repair distraught. I have been all around the city looking for a place to fix the screen on my iPhone 6, after Apple said they couldn't do it and that I would just have to buy a new phone, I was desperate. Just had my iPhone 5S repaired here. I thought I was going to have to throw it away after the screen shattered and the display stopped functioning. I had gone to two AT&T stores one of which was a corporate location, an apple store and another repair shop and was told it couldn't be fixed and that I would need a new one. At the last minute I was recommended to Nathan at LA iPhone and he was able to not only repair my screen but create a backup for my pics and other data as well, just in case he wasn't able to repair the phone. BACK AGAIN BECAUSE I LIKE TO TAKE ELECTRONICS SWIMMING. USC kids come here, this guy is an alumni and will charge you the best prices. Something the apple store quoted me $500 for me charged me only $110. The trackpad was messed up, my computer consistently lagged. I sent it in to him to just fix the trackpad because I'm a broke college student. It came out spanking new. I'm talking about running like a dream and fully updated. I'd recommend this place to anybody who needs iPhone and iPad repairs! My boyfriend and I came in to get our screens replaced for 95-100. Nathan is a really great person to work with and he is very understanding and works with you. Having a broken phone is never a fun feeling, but he manages to make the situation less stressful and is honest about his diagnostics. He can do most work while you wait, you can watch what he's doing with your phone or run out to get a drink or chill in his shop and look at the hats he sells too! After calling APPLE and a few other places that did not have the parts for my iPhone 5s and gave me a one to two week appointment time frame with a one to two week repair time on top of that. I decided to call and verify the parts were available and after 35 mins in traffic, I arrived. Small place and there was one guy, Nathan, multitasking. He was very prompt, polite, and professional. This is my second time coming here and I must say Nate is awesome. This was my first time dropping my Iphone 6 in water and I couldn't bring it in until the next after dropping it. After my phone totally shut down while Nate was working on it he told me to give him a little more time to try and recover my data. Not only did he recover my data but he was able to get my phone working. He was totally upfront about the future problems I might face because of water damage and even gave me the option to walk away without paying when he explained everything to me before all repairs. This place is a little hidden gem. I got really drunk and crack my screen phone extremely nasty. My phone wouldn't even turn on and I was so depress because there were photos in there that i wanted. A friend of mine from work referred me to this place. I called over the phone to get an estimate and headed straight here immediately. This process is usually expensive, tiresome, and usually ends with me not having a cell phone for more than a week. I had a cracked screen on my iPhone 5s and searched for a place to fix it. I was so lucky to have found this place. They fixed my phone so well that it looks brand new. What is so wonderful also is how honest they were. A guy named Nathan helped me. I was asking him some questions about some cases I was interested in. Sent a text via Yelp for price quote to fix broken screen, got response in less than 20 mins, no appointment needed, just walked in, Asian guy took a look at his Yelp screen and confirmed the price quoted, took my phone and replaced the screen in about 30 mins. On testing the touch ID did not work, he immediately took another new screen which worked perfectly well. Prompt service, nice Asian guy who talks less but knows his work well. I went in the other day to get my iPhone4S screen fixed and cost $60. I also had a cracked glass iPhone4 and he charged me only $10 (originally $20). I was on my lunch break and had to be back at work in 30 minutes and he was able to fix both phones for me and still make it back in time. Came in to get my iPhone 5c fixed here at Adams and Figueroa in the 7 Eleven shopping center by USC. The screen was malfunctioning by typing things itself, opening apps, calling numbers from my contacts, etc. Nathan worked on my device and was very nice, fast, and efficient and was done in less than 30 minutes. However, the first attempt to fix the screen failed and continued to malfunction so he re-did it, allowed me to fully test my phone for a decent amount of time and charged me the same price. I've been in here several times now. I've referred friends who have dropped their phones and needed repair. They've always done a great job. Today my son's iphone speaker went dead. My gf recommended this place to me when i told her that my phone would not charge and was about to uber all the way to the apple store. She told me Nathan is a pro at repairing iPhones with reasonable price and the location is supper near USC and downtown. I went there and he helped me with the charging part very efficiently. Over the years that I attended USC I have consistently experienced the best customer service at this location. They don't just take your money, they give you tips and explain everything about your issue. I have only used services here for iPhone repair. We waited 2 HOURS! the guy left to get something for the phone but was gone for 1 an hour ! Very unprofessional. please give the right time frame for your clients. They had me waiting to long. If you do not return my phone to its original state, I'm filing a police report and reporting you the IRS for doing cash transactions. Thanks for returning my phone. I am not updating the review rating simply because I don't feel this was a "mistake" and other customers should exercise caution. It also cost my wife multiple visits all the way to DTLA from the South Bay.

M My iPhone XS Max had a small drop and the screen repaired. Did a quick search for iPhone repair near me in Los Angeles close by to my house and this shop was found. That's correct, easy enough to walk to, grabbed a drink at Starbucks and shazzam my iPhone XS was ready to dial. A pleasure dealing with. Will be back!

I took it to Apple and was told they had messed up the hardware and there was no way to fix it, so I ended up having to order a brand new phone. Do not go here unless you can afford a new phone. On top of it, I tried to update my original review after I found out they broke some hardware in my phone, but they tried to bury my updated review. I have since deleted my original review so that they don't highlight it and mislead others. Their service was so bad that I've taken the time to write a new review to warn others because it cost me hundreds of dollars to get a new iPhone!
