This was my first time attending this curly hair salon for my 7 year old daughter. I have straight hair and I want to assure that she embraces her curly hair and finds a place where she feels comfortable- I think we've found it. First is first, I was running 15 minutes late and they were accommodating as many place will cancel your appointment after the 15 minute grace period. As soon as you arrive, the space is welcoming,we're immediately greet "I'm guessing this is Zya." This did it for Zya, she felt like the star of the day. Felicia was our stylist and she did an amazing job. Zya came ready with the intension of wanting curly hair. Felicia did an amazing job at talking to her, explaining to her how it will look, she convinced her on getting side bangs. Just finished up at La Isabella. I had a great time! I've been searching for a salon with good appointment times that can do curly hair for a while. Tall order! Melissa, the owner, gave me the special Ouidad haircut. She walked me through all the steps in her process and explained how to take care of my curly hair. The salon was clean, nicely decorated, and patrons were socially distanced. Edit: it's been a few days and I feel pretty good about my hair. My hair no longer has a stringy, frizzy appearance. I've gotten my hair cut by both Melissa and Felicia and I've been happy every single time. I think it's been at least a year but probably more since I started going to this salon, and it's the most consistent salon I've been to. Always high quality work, a lovely atmosphere, and they make sure you're happy. I trust them to make choices for me when I'm unsure because I know it will turn out looking great. A lot of salons make me feel anxious and quiet for no real reason and this salon has the opposite effect. I'm relaxed and there's a lot of laughing here. read more

Firstly, I want to start off by saying that I literally don't trust anyone with my hair because I've had way too many bad experiences. My hair texture has become a hot mess after having a baby and I was in dire need of a change, so I decided that I wanted to start going blonde. I got pintura highlights done by Melissa back in October. She's really knowledgeable and is extremely confident in what she is doing and she's super friendly. My hair was a 3c but has started growing straight. Melissa never pressured me to chop it off like another stylist elsewhere had done and instead worked with my texture and the end result was beautiful. It has been over a year since my last hair cut. Because I have curly hair I am very picky on who can cut my hair. I happen to find this little gem right down the street from my office. I walked in and was greeted with a smile and friendly face wearing a mask. The Salon was decorated beautiful and looked very clean. We chatted and Melissa (the owner) washed my hair and did the cut. I was nervous. I looked in the mirror when she was done and was so happy. she did a fabulous job. Loved the place, the people and the cut! My only regret is I did not go shorter. Next time. I left feeling so uncomfortable after my visit at La Isabella salon. I had been there once before with a fair experience with Melissa so I figured I'd try it out again with a different hair stylist. I arrived right on time and I saw the hair stylist who I didn't recognize was Melissa finishing up with one client and had another client she was working with in another chair. I was seen about 10 minutes after I arrived where she literally did a 2 minute consultation, went back to the other client and had me get my hair washed. She came back over after me sitting in the chair with damp hair for 10 more minutes because she was working with the other client where she proceeded to brush my half dry curly hair. Everyone knows how uncomfortable it is to brush damp/dry curly hair. Why wouldn't she spray water on my hair while brushing it? During this time she and the other employee continuously spoke with the other client in Spanish which was disrespectful and made me feel VERY uncomfortable-almost as if it was a problem that I wasn't a Spanish client. After a second rinse she proceeds to style my hair LIGHTLY with a leave-in condition and PRIMARILY with hair gel!. I couldn't believe it!! I have super dry hair and when I mentioned to her I primarily use leave-in conditioner she seemed annoyed as if I was questioning her. She did a crappy job styling my hair and after 2 hours was frizzy and felt like Brillo. I am so angry I wasted $130 of my money to supporting this salon and I will NEVER go back to this place that left me feeling so terrible. And on another note what was extremely inappropriate was that I specifically made a hair appointment with Virginia but Melissa deviously didn't tell me Virginia wasn't cutting my hair and took the job for herself probably because she wanted the money and tip (which I couldn't bring to tip more than 10% ) read more

I happened upon La Isabella Salon while looking for a new salon in he Westchester area. The location is perfect with plenty of 24-hour metered parking in the back (meaning you can get color, a cut, and blowout without having to move your car!). The salon itself is beautiful! Very upscale, modern and elegant! Even the shampoo bowl was comfy on your neck! Melissa was warm and friendly from the get go. She talked my through what I was trying to achieve, looked at some photos of looks I liked, and went to work! She worked so quickly and was an absolute blast to talk to- it always helps when you feel a friendship with your stylist! She then washed my hair and toned it a few times to make sure I got exactly the right look. Her attention to detail made the end result so beautiful! She ended the visit with a blowout and I walked out feeling like a movie star! If you are looking for a salon with kind, hardworking, EXTREMELY TALENTED stylists, La Isabella is the perfect place. I was in dire need of a hair cut. In need for over a year. I had been going else where for over ten years. But sadly the salon I frequented closed about 6 months ago. I was very hesitant to just let anyone cut my hair. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked by this salon and walked in and she said she could fit me in a couple hours later. I was very pleasantly surprised with my hair cut. I have thick curly long hair that seemed to be a little weighted down and not as much volume. I explained what I wanted I wanted to keep the long hair but I wanted it to have a little more volume. She cut about an inch and a half and the results were amazing.
