To order Carnitas Tacos, flour tortillas, lettuce and cheese. They offer cilantro and onion standard.

Looking for authentic Hispanic food??? LOOK NO FURTHER. Great food, great service, one of a kind. Definitely carries the "hole in the wall" type of atmosphere with the food of a 5 restaurant. They cook fresh on the grill right after the order and you can tell the flavors are some that come straight from the heart and go directly to your tummy. Whether you live here or you're just traveling through, HIGHLY recommend. You'll only be sorry if you DON'T stop in to grab a bite.

I just so happened to come across this Mexican restaurant while I was riding in the area. I was looking through the reviews before I went in and they had pretty good reviews so I decided to give it a try. I originally wanted to order the Maria but the lady at the counter told me they were out for the day. I was totally bum so I Add it to the chicken Torto.. The pricing pricing was a bit high for the portion and there was not enough chicken in my opinion. There is sitting available in the inside and it's pretty colorful. The staff seemed really nice and with a service was fast. The tour that came with all of the fixings but I ought to out of onion.. The chicken sort of lacked flavor but it was OK

Is this place in a bad part of town? Kinda seems like it but it was probably fine. My Yelp elite friend Jamie asked me to highlight some Latinx places, I think this one was just Latin, but maybe they will earn the X some day. Family business (2 kids were stuck in there hanging out.) very friendly, seemed like great people. To me this place is a comparison to tacos Fogoncito (TF is better). We got a steak torta, chicken burrito, pastor taco and buche taco. The burrito and torta were huge! But.... It was 99% filler. Torta was a loaf of soft bread with some toppings. The burrito was mostly rice with toppings and some meat. Ipso facto the flavors did not pop. Never get anything buche. Like a lunch meat ham. The saving grace is the pastor!!! Bumped them up from a 2 to a 3 star. Better than taco Fogon, but everything else I had was a little worse. I would definitely give them another chance and get only pastor, and something that was light on the filler toppings.

I'm all for trying small businesses and finding authentic street tacos. I found this spot while driving on 70W near Columbus, OH. From outside, you can easily spot the location as a Mexican grocery store. We ordered tacos (pastor and pollo) and the guy made it fresh right in front of us. They offer two types - traditional (only onion and cilantro) and American style (with sour cream, grilled onions). He served us fresh tacos with fresh salsa (both red and green) and I ended up ordering more because they were so fresh, so good and so flavorful. Must try, the traditional tacos are $2 each.

DELICIOUS! This is a hidden little gem. The location is half grocery store and half restaurant. Therefore, the outside looks like a store and I would have never found it without using my GPS. I ordered an asada torta and my husband ordered the barbocoa burrito. They were giant and amazing. We sat at the bar so we could see the cook make everything. I think this is now my favorite authentic Mexican place on this side of town. We will be going back!

The husband and wife own this eatery, along with the Mexican grocery store attached. What a nice couple! I couldn't decide if I wanted their Burrito or Torta. They explained they're basically the same, the difference being the bread - tortilla verses a giant bun. Good to know! I went with a Chicken Burrito, and good lord, it's pretty much the size of my head. Packed full, too. No wasted space to leave my tastebuds hanging. Chicken was great! Apparently, this is their most popular burrito meat-filling. Also liked the refried beans. I prefer a more pulverized rendition, and these were on the money. Think I'll get an extra serving of meat, next time, to get some more protein ($1.99 extra). This Burrito lasted me two meals and an afternoon snack. According to the couple, lengua (cow tongue) is very flavorful, and more tender than plain steak. Next mission? Try their Quesadillas with the lengua!

Ok, wow. First of all, the burritos are HUGE. As big as your head! Amazing. They are delicious. Stuffed to the brim with meat and rice, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, sour cream, cilantro, beans. The tortilla was warm and soft The $6.99 price is so decent for the amount of food you get. The people who were working (maybe owners) were so nice. There are drinks and snacks you can also purchase in the shop. I can't wait to go back and get some more food.

Buche chimichanga perfecto and carnitas burrito plate was spot on. Plus there's selection of Mexican beers. Great little find on the east side. Restaurant in the market is a good strategy for finding the yums.

Every single time I eat here, I'm satisfied. The tacos are amazing and are among the best I've ever had. Do not let the location scare you away from this hidden gem!! The store connected to it also has a nice selection of Mexican spices and such. Stop in and give this place a try, you won't regret it!

    Their burritos are huge! $5.99

Very cute place. We ordered 3 pork tacos and 2 burritos, one chicken and one pork. Everything was delicious! All for under $17. We will definitely be back.

Posted this same review to google…read more *Warning* to parents of very young children, specifically toddlers and infants. This place has EXTREMELY intense entertainment. We visited this restaurant for the first time on Sunday evening around 5:30 and had a most unpleasant experience. Not due to food- the food was great. Menu selection great, drink selection great. Little pricey, but okay. The initial atmospheric vibe, great. Unfortunately, we were completely unaware of a ritual apparently the restaurant performs periodically. About 15 minutes into of us being there, while we were eating, the lights went dark. After a couple minutes passed and we're wondering what's going on, music started blasting at an insanely loud volume.I love loud concerts and even I was wincing. And then some wild looking alien/robot guy on stilts comes out and starts dancing around. Our 5 year old son had a complete mental breakdown. He is a little sensitive to loud sounds and this scared the absolute daylights out of him. Understandably so, because like I said the volume was violently loud. Due to this alone, we won't be returning. Even without kids. I can't overstate how painfully loud the volume was, at least during this specific instance. It was one of the most uncomfortable dining experiences we've had. It lasted about 10 minutes. It's a real shame too because before the chaos, we were really enjoying ourselves and the restaurant. We were even going to overlook the fact that our waitress forgot to bring my wife's soda. We just wanted to leave after that for fear of it happening again. I hate to sound like a pansy or overly protective parent. It was clearly a "iykyk" thing. Everyone else in the restaurant loved it. Good for them and to each their own. If only someone had come around to the tables with young children and gave a small warning of "hey, it's about to get loud", that would've been great and very helpful. But nothing. Their website doesn't state anywhere that this is something that happens. There are videos of it, which is fine, but the videos do not convey the incredibly loud volume of the place when this action goes down. We won't be returning unfortunately. So fair warning to parents of toddler and infant children- bring soundproof headphones for your littles or prepare to step outside when it goes dark.

Spicing Things Up at La Fogata Grill: A Mexican Food Adventure…read more If you're anything like me, a former chef turned travel blogger with a serious soft spot for bold flavors and authentic eats, then you know the thrill of discovering a hidden gem that delivers the real deal. That's exactly what I found at La Fogata Grill, a vibrant Mexican restaurant that's all about sizzling plates, warm hospitality, and the kind of margaritas that make you forget your to-do list. First Impressions: Color, Culture & Comfort From the moment you walk into La Fogata Grill, you're greeted with the inviting scent of sizzling fajitas, fresh cilantro, and slow-roasted meats. The colorful décor, traditional art, and festive vibe set the tone for a fun and flavorful experience. Whether you're coming for Taco Tuesday, date night, or a family dinner, the atmosphere is upbeat and welcoming. The Menu: A Tour of Mexico on a Plate Let's talk food -- because at La Fogata, the menu is a love letter to Mexican cuisine. I started with the fresh guacamole, made tableside and customized to your spice level (pro tip: ask for extra lime and jalapeño if you like a kick). The street tacos are the real deal -- I had the carnitas and barbacoa, each packed with tender meat and wrapped in warm, house-made corn tortillas. Their mole poblano is rich and deeply flavorful, a nod to authentic Mexican culinary traditions, and the chile relleno came out golden-crisp with a creamy cheese filling and perfectly spiced tomato sauce. My wife went for the enchiladas verdes, and let's just say there wasn't a crumb left on her plate. Don't Skip the Sips No trip to La Fogata Grill is complete without a drink in hand. Their margarita game is strong -- from classic lime on the rocks to frozen mango chili and even jalapeño-infused for those feeling adventurous. There's also a wide selection of tequilas and Mexican beers if you're in the mood to sample more. Save Room for Dessert If you've got a sweet tooth like me, the churros with chocolate sauce or the decadent flan will seal the deal. And yes, I ordered both -- for research purposes, of course. Final Thoughts: Worth the Trip La Fogata Grill isn't just a restaurant -- it's a destination for anyone who craves bold flavors and good vibes. The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the service is always delivered with a smile. Whether you're a local or passing through, it's a stop worth making. Take the trip. Order the tacos. Live a little.

Ricardo, a waiter at Cazuela's Mexican Cantina in Reynoldsburg, had finished serving a table, expecting the usual--a tip, a simple acknowledgment of his hard work. Instead, he received a hateful message scrawled on the receipt, the kind that cuts deeper than words should. Ricardo works at Cazuela's only on Sundays, a second job to help make ends meet. So today, in between my OCIA responsibilities, I decided to stop by--to meet him, to shake his hand, and to remind him that there are far more good people in this world than the ones who spew hate. As we talked, I saw a man who carries himself with quiet dignity, someone who simply wants to work hard and provide for his family. I shared with him that I, too, know what it feels like to be told to "go back to your country," even though, like him, I am an American. I told him about my childhood, standing in front of my family's Crestview Market, hearing the ugly chants from passing cars--some driven by kids I went to school with. But today wasn't just about reliving painful memories; it was about something greater--the power of community, of kindness that drowns out cruelty. When I arrived at Cazuela's, I wasn't alone. Others had also come to show their support, to stand with Ricardo. He told me the outpouring of kindness had been overwhelming, and I was relieved to hear it. Before I left, I handed him my WARM card and told him if he ever needed help, he could call me. Because no one should feel alone in moments like these. And, by the way, if you ever stop by Cazuela's, their enchiladas and Mexican rice are fantastic. The chips and salsa? Fresh and addictive. And my server, Isabel--attentive, kind, and everything a great waitress should be. Some people choose to spread hate. But today, I saw so many more people choosing love. And thats what matters.
