This is a great place to get very fresh Canadian made buffalo mozzarella and burrata for an amazing price. It's the same Bella Casata that I find at my Longos, but much cheaper and with longer expiration dates. For example the Canadian burrata runs $16-18 at Longos and was $10 here! Brie was on special $10 a kg, so my kid got a huge wedge for $4. Sone of that went into the freezer. We also got a gorgeous braid of bocconcini. This would be gorgeous on a large cheese plate. We just ripped it into pieces and made it part of a rustic and yummy caprese. There was also a nice special on prosciutto and we did not buy enough as most of it disappeared minutes after arriving home.

In my experience, Marina's management style often made employees feel intimidated and closely monitored. At times, the environment felt overly strict, and I often felt that I had to walk on eggshells to avoid making a mistake or causing concern. I also experienced a significant amount of micromanagement, including frequent instructions and involvement in routine tasks. At times, I felt that employees were not given enough independence to carry out their responsibilities. Some decisions seemed to create additional stress without improving the overall efficiency of the workplace. I found the way employees were sometimes spoken to and treated discouraging. A manager can maintain standards and provide direction while still treating employees with respect and professionalism. Another concern I personally witnessed was customers being discussed after they had left the store. I believe customer matters should be handled with discretion and professionalism. I also have serious concerns about the company's employment practices. During my time working there, I personally became aware of two workers whose immigration status, to my knowledge, did not authorize them to work in Canada. I found this concerning and believe employment practices should comply with Canadian law and be fair and transparent. Overall, my experience was extremely negative. The company may have good products and loyal customers, but management has a significant impact on employee morale and the workplace environment. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend working here. I hope the company takes employee concerns seriously and examines its management and employment practices. If I could give this place a 0 I would.

A call was made for a meat product to know if it was sold in a case and if this store would deliver so we can buy from them. When the call was made a very mean grumpy miserable old man had answered the phone and in a very angry voice said "this is the meat department ! You should be calling the main store line !" I told him this was the main number on the website that given. If this is not the number can you transfer me? He said " NO !" With that the man hung up on me. How much does it take to press a button on a phone to transfer? Guess that is too much technology for that old guy to handle and way too rude ! Taking business elsewhere

Tomato, pesto, alfredo, etc. There's a lot of different kinds. There's also houseware. Measuring cups, cooking utensils, aprons stuff like that. It's kind of pricey but the quality is really good so I am not going to complain about it. You can get some pretty interesting pasta and it's good for special occasions and treating yourself!

Choices are…read moreamazingly plentiful, I was able to find not just the normal cuts of beef, but even frozen beef bone marrow, foie gras, etc. Also I was able to find a pretty wide variety of Italian ingredients including many types of flour for pasta and pizza. Probably this store has some Italian background? They also have a wide selection of prepared meat items, for instance I saw they had ready to bake Beef Wellington :D However, I'm not too sure about the taste as I tried their breakfast sausage and it turned out far too salty for me. The other side of being a specialty store means...not having that much choices for other types of items. Produce choices are satisfying enough but of less variety than bigger supermarkets. I somehow liked their packaging of using ziplock bags for salad leaves and other produces, it saved me a bit of fridge space. Seafood choices are very limited. Being a person with a diet that stresses heavily on seafood and white meats, that weekend I did end up going for a second grocery trip to get all the items I needed. The store had very few customers during my visit. It has the feeling of a neighborhood grocer that serves only who knows this place - I happened to hear a customer talking to the butcher and it sounded like the customer had been coming to the store for food for a long time. Not a bad place at all if knowing what to expect from a specialty store.

I made an effort to come back in store to check out what they had to offer inside! It's filled with fresh pastries baked in house, lots of local goodies/ brands and a small selection of fresh produce. I came in the winter so could also attribute to the small selection of produce that day. You can even find local meats in their large fridge/ freezer section. I came to buy some local honey which I found at a reasonable price. Everyone that came into the store seemed like they were regulars around the area. I'd come back for more stuff in the future if I'm in the area. Love supporting local and love having local products in my grocery hauls.
